Am I alone in having a massive buzz about welcoming RM in our next CL game, they are struggling, only 6 points so far and Atalanta away following us, would love to kick them when their down.

It's three points up for grabs and it's November.
We could beat Real 5-0- if our forwards get the service- but it's still only three points and they'd still be in the CL.

I think we can deal with Real Madrid quite easily. The only team I'd be concerned about at the moment would be Barcelona, they are looking pretty special. Any other team, yeah bring them on.

I wouldn’t be confident in a game against Real Madrid even if it was against Real Madrid Castilla. We have an unacceptably poor record against them over the last decade exactly. Unless we’re 4-0 up with 10 minutes to go, we remain underdogs in that match.

We are long due to beat RM. We have been their bunny in CL recently.

I think we will need to play better in our first half’s to beat RM. We can keep leaving it to a mega second half. Same applies to Man City in a few weeks.

@Longthing I think that is going to be the story of our season. In the first halves of games opposition teams are full of energy and they are flooding the midfield to try and stop us playing and controlling the game. We reserve energy by having a good shape and being defensively solid. After Slot gets the players in at half time to tweak the tactics and the opposition players start to tire in the second half we tend to get a lot more space and get on top in the game which makes it a lot easier to control the game and make chances.

WDW - Man City have had some great battles with Real Madrid in that time and, on a few occasions, completely outclassed them. The only City match I’ve ever enjoyed watching was them utterly dismantling Real Madrid in 2023.
You may call it entitled, but Liverpool cannot, under any circumstances, be a plaything for another club, which we have somewhat turned into for Real Madrid.

@Lowe, what has happened in the past doesn’t matter. The thing that matters is always the next game. We are a different team than when we last played them with a new manager and a new style. We need to focus on playing to our full potential and take it from there.
