14 Nov 2024 13:09:49
Its now beyond hilarious that we have not been able to tie even one of TAA, vvd and mo to sign the contract.
14 Nov 2024 13:25:12
Yeah but we can't blame Hughes and co for it because they've only been here a few months so we can't point the finger according to many on here lol. I agree, it's a joke mate. What can we do though? bugger all, I've come to terms with it because I think all three are gone.
If so it's terrible business but we move on. We just have to hope the club is going to support Slot properly and get replacements for atleast Salah and VVD. With Trent, we have Bradley who is capable, probably a bit to soon but if push came to shove, I think he'll do just fine.
14 Nov 2024 14:01:04
You must be the only person i know that thinks all three are gone. Personally i think all three stay so there'll be no need for that finger point hopefully.
14 Nov 2024 14:40:02
Hughes is not a good worker.
{Ed001's Note - Hughes doesn't deal with the contracts.}
14 Nov 2024 15:31:33
I do hope you are right Florian but I highly doubt it mate. Let's just wait and see, I have everything crossed that you're right and I'm wrong. Who knows we may wake up one morning to see all three have signed a new deal, but that'd be a dream. Reality is I don't think they will, it's gone on for too long.
All opinions, will have to see what happens.
14 Nov 2024 15:37:27
'm with Ed on this one. If Hughes ain't dealing with contracts then why are we bringing his name up, exactly?
14 Nov 2024 15:59:32
In 6 weeks time they're free to talk to clubs outside of England, time is running out for them not to have their heads turned if it hasn't happened already. I think they're gone but obviously hope am completely wrong.
14 Nov 2024 16:03:34
We can’t talk about contracts as we don’t know the ins and outs of them.
We need to get back to the PGMOL and Coote where we are all SME’s ?.
14 Nov 2024 16:04:12
Ok if not Hughes then what has Darwin been doing all this time? He should have got together with Mac Allister, John Henry and FSG and got these players signed up.
I think two will go and 1 will stay.
{Ed025's Note - I’m guessing of course Ron but I think VVD and Salah will stay but I suspect Trent may go mate..
14 Nov 2024 16:41:07
I've been saying all along that's the likely scenario, Ed025. Purely based on me knowing nothing.
{Ed025's Note - i went to that school as well Rome.. :)
14 Nov 2024 17:22:17
Good question Oli, Salah why are you bringing up Hughes name when he doesn't deal with the contracts?
14 Nov 2024 17:20:59
Is that where you picked up your disgusting Everton habit 025?
{Ed025's Note - that was the school of science Flash, when football was a proper game mate and there was no cheating or rolling around when you got tackled, they were halcyon days indeed..
14 Nov 2024 17:35:01
Hughes doesn’t deal with contracts. He doesn’t get players in. He doesn’t actually DO anything.
Every now and then he just whips round with the Dyson and Fabreeze.
14 Nov 2024 17:55:31
That's why I said 'hughes and co' Thunderbird, I wasn't sure exactly who deals with them. But god knows his name has been mentioned a million times on here when contracts have been mentioned so I did assume he was the one handling them. Plus google says he is the one who handles the contracts. You can go ahead and google it but it's obviously incorrect.
14 Nov 2024 17:57:06
Agree Ed025 and @Rome. I’m from the same school too and was the dopey kid sat at the back of the class.
@TB2, as you know Hughes is just an easy name to pin any blame on when the mostly, but not always, uninformed have an opinion that something they know nothing about isn’t being done properly, shouldn’t be done at all or that something they imagine isn’t being done that should be done.
14 Nov 2024 18:15:29
I’ll admit Ed025 and Rome, I’m the same as you 2 lads but me personally think that all 3 will indeed stay for at least another 2 seasons, I’m sure they can feel the love whenever they play from fellow Liverpool supporters from around the world and at their games, especially as Salah and VVD are playing quite possibly their best games for a couple of seasons as they approach their “twilight years” if that’s the correct phrase to use as for our Trent as far as I’m concerned he gives us 100% every game wether he misplaces a pass etc.
{Ed025's Note - my theory Sid is that VVD and Salah will be offered a two year contract on money they will find hard to refuse, it will be an obscene amount but well worth it as replacements would probably cost even more, Trent is different because he is young and even though he will be offered a fantastic contract may well be enticed by the lifestyle and his friendship with Jude may just sway it, this is just my opinion of course mate..
14 Nov 2024 18:54:04
Ed001 who’s leading with or is in charge of player contracts at the club please mate?
{Ed001's Note - I am still stuck with just a phone and data at the moment so difficult to look it up, but it is the new guy brought in over the summer. His name is totally blank to me right now sorry. There were 3 that came in, Edwards, Hughes and the guy whose name I can't think of. He is the one that is now responsible for the contracts. Obviously, this does go back to the previous regime, so it is not even all his fault as he inherited the issue, rather than created it.}
14 Nov 2024 19:28:17
Julian Ward?
14 Nov 2024 21:24:33
Hughes did sign Chiesa though!
15 Nov 2024 05:36:15
You mean Chiesa belongs to Hughes @MJJ?
On a separate note I see, according to today’s BBC gossip column that TAA has turned down a number of contract offers from the club. I have to say I find that surprising as a number of people on here have been saying that the club haven’t spoken to TAA or his representatives.
{Ed001's Note - I find it surprising that you believe the crap on the BBC gossip column. Ah but it fits your agenda and gives you a chance to make a snide dig at people so it must be true then.}
15 Nov 2024 07:16:28
Spot on Ed01, you saw through my plan.
Not sure though where I said I actually thought the BBC gossip column was correct or that I have an agenda.
As I’ve said a number of times, I have no idea what the status is with TAA’s contract negotiations but given the recent Konate and Quansah extensions being done I think it would be incredible if the club hasn’t tried to negotiate with TAA’s representatives and given the lack of an announcement that the player has signed a new contract I wouldn’t faint with surprise if - as part of an ongoing negotiation - the club’s initial offers may not have been satisfactory to the player’s representatives.
I’m also not sure how saying that people on this forum think the club, in some way, don’t want to talk to players about contract renewals can be described as a snide remark. Anybody who can read, and who has an IQ greater than a packet of Ritz crackers can find posts going back for months on a daily basis stating that the club hadn’t or doesn’t want to negotiate contracts with the three whose contracts run out at the start of next July.
{Ed001's Note - again the tedious agenda that you deny having and now you are trying to pretend you didn't bring clickbait crap from the BBC in as back up. You have no idea so why continue to spout ignorance?}
15 Nov 2024 07:41:08
Julian ward deals with contracts. At any club it's the technical directors job to handle player and staff contract renewals.
I have been saying this for quite a while but people just have a bee in their bonnet about Hughes.
15 Nov 2024 08:18:01
Ai in fairness Nevada you have been saying that for sometime.
I remember quite a few months back i asked you the question. Was the home Brentford game in fact.
15 Nov 2024 09:38:42
Because it’s an opinions forum Ed01.
Given everything that you disagree with or take offence to is due to ignorance, why don’t you enlighten everybody with your up to date knowledge of TAA’s contract negotiations and provide factual evidence to back up your superior and condescending views?
{Ed001's Note - unlike you, who just comes on to make snide digs out of ignorance, I don't say anything when I don't know anything. You set out in every post with a condescending tone and you want to call me it? You might want to realise that I respond merely in the same tone that you constantly use. You clearly do not like being spoken to in this way but you think it is ok to talk to everyone else that way. Perhaps you need to think about that a little.}
15 Nov 2024 10:03:57
All what the BBC Gossip column is, is a round up of articles from outlets around the world. The article that WDW3 refers to is from an article in Spain. I've never considered it to be click bait. I have a look every day, out of interest. It's a time saving site, though I don't hang on every word I read.
15 Nov 2024 10:10:27
Ed1 absolutely spot on. WDW posts are boring now, same old every single day and not happy unless he's having a pop at others. Silly sausage.
15 Nov 2024 10:30:45
For balance, I agree with a lot of what WDW3 says.
{Ed001's Note - yes but you also think the BBC gossip column is a time saving feature! Not sure you are much help to his cause mate. It is called gossip for a reason, it is rounding up clickbait, that is all it is.}
15 Nov 2024 11:08:13
I'm a lazy sod, Ed01. If you can point me in the direction of another site that condenses all the latest tittle tattle, I'll give it a go.
{Ed001's Note - I would suggest you find something better to do than read tittle tattle to be honest. The whole reason I came up with the sites wasn't to spread the rumours as much as to be a place where the false ones could be pointed out and for people to learn not to bother with things like the Metro etc. I used to get so fed up of going into work and listening to people tell me stuff about players that I knew personally and knew what they were saying was untrue. I think it was a dream that will never be fulfilled as people just love to gossip and don't care if it is true or not most of the time sadly.}
15 Nov 2024 11:25:17
Cheers for that reply, Ed. It's given an insight into why you set up the sites, which I didn't know. Like I say, I take everything I read on the site we mention with a pinch of salt. I go on there when I'm having my first cuppa of the day, before I start work. Enjoy your day, mate. Good health.
{Ed001's Note - I guess editing the sites is probably little different to that, as that is what I do when I wake.}
15 Nov 2024 11:44:10
It’s the world we live in today unfortunately ed001. People need to fill their world with gossip because their own lives are so empty.
{Ed001's Note - I think it has always been like it. It is just that it is more obvious on the internet rather than gossiping in pubs or knitting circles etc in times past.}
15 Nov 2024 13:33:13
First site I come to is this one, why? because it's real. I don't like click bait it actually really gets on my nerves, I get all kinda of links coming through on my phone and have to keep swiping all the bloody time because I know 99% is nonsense.
At one point I looked at the gossip section of the BBC daily but no more, that was years ago and never will again (each to their own of course) . Personally I only want to read what is real, not nonsense made up by some stupid reporter who hasn't got a clue what he's talking about which is most of them.
I have facebook as much as I hate it I have it purely for family with messages but I also follow Romano on there, I trust some of what he's saying but nowhere has been more accurate then on here in my opinion.
Ed1 hit a point up above, you don't see the Eds speaking about something unless they know full well what they're talking about.
Might as well turn this into a thank you post at this point because I know how much the Eds put into this site.
Ed1, a great writer, a genius of football pure and simple and by far creates the best articles on the internet that I have seen.
Ed2, the best for inside info regarding transfers, we'll never get it as detailed as he gives it.
Ed25 deserves a mention I suppose ;) a bit of alright for an Everton fan.
There's no point listing them all because the truth is I don't know how many there is but all offer a great deal to these sites so from me to all Eds. A huge thank you.
Remember, these fellas aren't even been paid for this.
{Ed001's Note - myself and Ed33 do earn our livings from it mate.}
15 Nov 2024 14:40:08
Ed1, ah sorry mate was unaware of that but it's nice to hear because I thought you all did it for free, atleast you're getting something out of it. Thankfully.
{Ed001's Note - the dream has always been to be able to pay them so they could do it full time. But not happened yet.}
15 Nov 2024 15:41:52
Respect your view, Salah. However, if it wasn't for most journalists spouting nonsense and often making things up, a lot of posters on here wouldn't come on here and ask questions regards to there being any truth in transfer links.
15 Nov 2024 16:29:30
Very true rome and a good way to look at it. I just can't be one of them people mate but you do make a good point.
15 Nov 2024 16:16:07
Ed1, I can't remember if I've asked before so if I have my apologies but is there a way to add a donation thing to the site? I think many people would subscribe to it per month in support of yourself and all of the other eds.
{Ed001's Note - there is a paypal donation link, I will have to ask Ed33 to post it up again, but we have something more important for it to be used for. Once I have been able to find the words to explain, it will become clear. I am just finding it difficult to do so right now as it has been such a shock to us editors to find out.}
15 Nov 2024 18:30:21
Ed1, that doesn't sound good mate. Hoping everybody/ everything is ok.
{Ed001's Note - it is sad news sorry.}
