Never imagined writing a message like this here.
I think it's been about 20/ 21 years that I've used this website. Back when I was a teen in IT class at school (when I should have been working) . Over the years, you just kinda get used to coming here to read about rumours or the club. I took it for granted having someone like Ed002 and all his reliable info. I'm really going to miss him.
I can't imagine how his wife must be feeling. I'm glad she at least has sons/ daughters to share the grief and memories with.
To Ed001 and the other eds, you must be in a terrible amount of shock and pain right now. Ed001, about 10 years ago, you wrote a nice message to me on one of the "talk" pages when my mum had cancer. I really wish you and the other eds all the best.

It may sound crazy but it feels like I have lost a family member, I have logged in maybe 5 times a day over the past 12 years and loved to read the great man’s Ed002 updates.
Thank you Ed002 for the years of knowledge, humour and fantastic slagging “knuckle dragger” being my favourite.

Thank you, Ed001. I'm good - at least I was until I heard the news. My mum is still here and doing well.
I just wanted to add that it is testament to you, Ed002 and all of the other eds that there are so many people writing today who have been here for 10-20 years. It's such a great website.
I'm trying to find the right words to write, but none of them do justice to how much of a hole Ed002's passing leaves. I'm wishing my best to all the other readers as well, as I know it must hurt a lot of people.

Share the same feelings as Adam. Been coming on here since just before Torres and Carroll transfers where it felt like ed002 was giving minute by minute updates well ahead of what the main transfer network for me at the time, Sky Sports. Over the years grown into an adult but the group chat gets regular updates for all clubs from the various sites on here and the constant knowledge we were so fortunate to get.

Very sad to read these news. Ed002 is a legend, and will be sorely missed. Thanks for all the knowledge and insight you have given over the years. Thoughts to the remaining to his wife and family, i hope that they know what he meant to so many football fans all over the world ❤️.

Oh no! Ed02 has passed away? Oh my goodness, I cannot believe this. I mean, how? Was he ill or something? I cannot believe it.
Ed01, I send my sincere condolences to Ed02 and his family and loved ones.
This is truly a sad day for all of us who have learned to know him over the years.
RIP, Ed02! You will be sorely missed.

A sad day for football in general.
Ed002 was clearly the GOAT when it came to be being "ITK", and everyone is going to miss him terribly
No words an ever make these times any easier, but I know that everyone who has ever visited any of the rumor pages, Ed002 is in everyone hearts.
I will miss you Ed002.especially the times when we riled each other up, or when you riled someone else up. but more importantly, we'll miss your generosity of all your knowledge that you shared.
