The arsenal page seems to think this liverpool squad is there for the taking. I think they are underestimating our squad, four of our first choice back five have won the league along with the champions league and more with us. Add mo up front half our first team have been there bone that. The rest are young and hungry for success. I think if we get to January six clear we will take some stopping.

I couldn't care less what Arstoke fans think of Liverpool.
06 Dec 2024 22:09:28
Arsestoke? I see what you did there, mate. Seriously tho, a lot of these Arsenal fans are just sore and jealous about our current position where btw, they told us that our team and squad was washed, we made one signing and Klopp is gone hence, we will fall off.
So essentially, they created a vision of LFC in their in preseason that now has NO basis in reality and esp. with City struggling and them dropping a lot of points, they are having issues dealing with said reality. So now they try to convince themselves by screaming all over the internet that they will overtake us I say, let them. It's the only way to deal with their issues.

Arsenal are the favourites imo. Unless we add in Jan we are definitely a little short.
06 Dec 2024 23:16:38
They think we are there for the taking. We think they are there for the taking.
It’s how a title race should be.
06 Dec 2024 23:18:52
City will end the season with more points than arsenal.
06 Dec 2024 23:47:43
I agree with Thunderbird 2 I really couldn't care less what they think or say.
06 Dec 2024 23:49:31
Mark, Arsenal can be favorites for all I care as none of that bothers me. Also, we are getting guys like Ali, Jota, Konate, Bradley and Tsimikas back on or before the same January (knock on wood) that you are talking about so on the face of it
Also, adding any signing (s) in Jan. does not guarantee a darn thing either. It may give you a better chance but that's it. Again, let's wait and see.
07 Dec 2024 02:21:21
It's hilarious so many people are jealous and don't see us doing anything. Paranoia has kicked in for other teams and they are a little concerned at how well we've done. Many fans from Arsenal, City, Chelsea etc will be hating on Slot right now for what he has done for us. Long may it continue. Write us off that's absolutely fine but it'll be more hilarious when we go and win the league.
07 Dec 2024 02:44:34
Finglasred: aren't you the one trolling our page claiming every player in your squad is better than ours?
At least this time you're posting your delusions in the appropriate place.
07 Dec 2024 07:39:49
Lots of my mates are arsenal fans, in fact I’d say pretty much all of them are (don’t ask me how that came to be, considering I live in Asia and not London), they are a pretty depressed lot to be fair, sort of like we were when klopp first arrived.
they’ve had two good seasons and have signed some excellent players so it’s justified for them to be reasonably excited I suppose, but even in the run in or the title race they never really seem to believe they’re actually going to win anything, I have no idea if this is common among their fanbase. Their style of play is pretty damn appalling to put it kindly this season but maybe it’s just because they’ve been missing odegaard and saka was injured for a few games? It’s a bit bizarre because all my friends became arsenal fans because of wenger, and now their style of play is pretty much the polar opposite of that.
07 Dec 2024 08:47:38
It’s actually a good thing in my view - just shows the Arsenal fans are worried about us - I hope they are saying the same thing in mid- April. That said, I’m with TB2 in that I don’t actually care what they think but it is nice that we are in their heads.
Like @Mark, I think we should buy a CB, LB, DCM AM, RW and CF, just to be on the safe side. We are likely to have a number of injuries and players being tired and, as we’ve seen so far this season that hasn’t happened to any other side in the PL.
07 Dec 2024 08:48:00
Nothing wrong with that surely though? They've a good team and their fans believe they can win stuff - if they think they're better than other teams and us then so what?
As fans of top clubs you got to believe your team is better if you're challenging for trophies - they have a very good team, let them believe. The guys on the Arsenal page are all good lads
We just need to look at ourselves, I think we'll be stronger with Alison and Konate back, certainly Tsimikas will help manage Robbo's minutes and I'd like to see Endo rotate for Grav in some games and play with Grav in others
Both teams in a good place, our fans believe in our team, their fans believe in theirs and that's fine
Personally, and I'm sure Arsenal fans would agree, I think both sets of fans would have no bother having a couple of pints together watching City and Utd both lose lol.
{Ed014's Note - nice to see a sensible perspective Bill and wholeheartedly agree.
As they say, may the best team win and may the Manc clubs continue in turmoil! ?

A lot of our fans think we are there for the taking.
A lot of our fans don't like Arsenal being so good at set pieces.
A lot of our fans don't like to hear about Arsenal's absent players but moan about our absent players.
I can understand Arsenal fans preferring to chase us down rather than the City side of the past few seasons.
07 Dec 2024 12:27:22
Of course adding an extra player to our midfield will benefit us. We don’t have a problem getting into position to win major trophies but we have a massive problem getting over the line. Last year we fell away dramatically and it was down to injuries and loss of form when the players returned. A bit more rotation in midfield will help massively especially if we keep the ball better.
Today’s result helps massively as well.
07 Dec 2024 12:36:32
Bill, it is perfectly okay to think your team has boss players and can win things WITHOUT needing to undermine/ disrespect/ denigrate/ dismiss or brush aside the achievements of your rivals. You can literally do both at the same time.
As Ed014 once said, "Blowing other people's canddles out jut o make yours shine briter".
This right here, is what many in the Arsenal fan base have been doing for 2 years prior to this season and it is getting worse. This is my biggest problem and that is what I and many others are sick to the back teeth of, IMO.
LFC fans never disrespected Wenger nor dismissed his achievements esp. when we weren't winning that much back in the day. We respected admired him and his work till this day. Klopp thinks the world of him, so do other managers across the globe. We never did this to them at any point under Klopp while they were on the come-up.
But it seems many in their fan base (NOT everyone obv. ) have become so desperate to be as successful as their rivals have been so now they think they need to dismiss/ disrespect other rival clubs/ managers/ achievements like LFC, Klopp and his greatness just to feed their overinflated egos and make Arteta look like a genius. Not sure how they can make that work cos they ain't achieved nothing of real note in 20 years. That's my opinion on the matter.

@sirwenger never pisted on another team page ever, i did scroll down your page yesterday to see the goss. You have me confused with someone else.
{Ed014's Note - you’re correct Finglasred, it was redbelly I believe who had made a poor attempt at banter on our page.

Aye aye, hide behind your second account.
But if you had read our page, youd probably be aware that you're talking out yer hoop (;

Oli moaning about being disrespected whilst disrespecting Arsenal.
The gift that keeps on giving ?.
07 Dec 2024 16:37:50
Next time before you crack (and pathetically laugh at) your own joke in response to someone else's comment, be sure to read the comment properly cos clearly if you did, you would realise that at no point whatsoever did I disrespect Arsenal as a club and institution.
The contrary really as I gave them their flowers BUT I get it. You're so desperate to throw a sly dig at me that you didn't read the whole thing. Sad.
At the end of the day, I only called out the part of their fanbase for being so desperate and jealous to the point of disrespecting their rivals to make themselves feel and look good. Oh, and lay of the jokes, mate. Comedy does not suit you.
07 Dec 2024 17:24:11
Oli, you have said that many Arsenal fans are dismissing and disrespecting other clubs' achievements and you dismissing and disrespecting Arsenal's achievements and its fans.
Reread your own post and tell me that you are giving them their flowers.

Like I said before, the annoying Charlie George (great football entertainer though he was) and George Graham aside, Arsenal were probably my second favourite team in the league from the 70’s onwards. They have a history of trying to play football and have some of the best players in the league in my time watching - Chippy Brady, Viera, O’Leary, Bergkamp, Henry, Overmars off the top of my head would have loved to have seen play for us. I like the fans too - “1 nil to the Arsenal” still annoys and amuses me at the same time. Sadly, from my external perspective, it’s changed. Arteta is lacking in basic social skills or so it seems and comes across as a lack of grace and charm. Of course that’s probably as much my problem as it is his but I have to say I’m not a fan of the Arsenal team and their behaviour these days. Still, I’m pretty sure that the Arsenal club are likely to lose much sleep over my opinions.
