Tricky games for our rivals today. Fulham are no mugs, as their league position suggests and hopefully the right version of Spurs turns up. Coupled with the storm Darragh enforced rest, it could turn into a brilliant weekend for the red men.

I think the way they are playing it is likely that Arsenal and Chelsea will win. Anything else would be a bonus (especially Spurs where Ange seems to be entering ‘the full backing of the board’ phase of his tenancy.

Spurs are still a good side and can give anyone a game. They are better suited to play against the more dominant team so I wouldn't be surprised if they got something.
I do think arsenal will be too strong for Fulham though but would love to be wrong!

Spurs have both of their starting center halves and their keeper injured (granted they thrashed city even without them) and now Ben Davies, their best player of the last few games having stood in for the missing defenders, is also injured for a few games. Add in the bad vibes around the spurs support and it’s hard to see them picking up a result. Stranger things have happened when spurs face a big team though….

Fulham 1 up.
08 Dec 2024 17:06:42
The irony of senor pulis with his arms out in front of himself moaning when the Fulham keeper caught the ball and took it to ground ala Raya . I only wish the Fulham team patted him on the head when he did .

Spurs 2-1 up and Chelsea should have been down to 10.

2 out of 3 ain't bad. I have no fear of Chelsea so happy weekend for me.

Think Chelsea are really scary, they have no issues with injuries with the sheer quantity of players. They could easily sneak one If Liverpool and arsenal are hit by injuries
They were super lucky today that spurs threw it away though.

Chelsea are in good form and are scoring. The manager seems to have them working well. They’ll be in the mix this season.

Don't discount Chelsea, they basically can keep their first 11 for the prem as the Conference League is such a drop in level.
Right now they seem the main competition, city are faltering without Rodri. Arsenals arsenal is mainly set pieces and their away form seems sketchy right now. However keep winning games and what they do becomes irrelevant.
But in the great words of Keegan, I'd love it if we beat them!

Anyone but arsenal. Everything about them is putrid.
08 Dec 2024 21:54:13
Spot on, PAisley. How Caicedo stayed on is beyond me. And all this while I believed a lot of the Chelsea fans who whine and moan off how Anthony Taylor hates them.

Are there any set of fans that you haven't got a problem with, Oli?
Chelsea battered Spurs. Spurs' football is suicidal and highly unlikely to succeed long term.
Klopp himself realised that and we won the League and Champions League.
Something Red is right. Ange has made Spurs even more Spursy. A great line, that ?.

Dean, Chelsea were lucky Spurs threw it away? If Cucurella had put on proper boots then Spurs wouldn’t have scored at all. Spurs also lucky to finish with 11 men on the pitch after the running elbow to Lavia’s head from Kulusevski.

Rigsby, I have a problem with relentless hypocrites and boys who constantly cry wolf regardless of the fan base and that includes ours.
09 Dec 2024 12:35:03
Oli, does that include Liverpool fans that think the officials were helping Chelsea out when they were 2-0 down yesterday?
