Match Post:

I wonder how Slot feels to see ManU use the match against us as a springboard to their revival? For me it hurts like hell and i feel hsixk that we are the team that kick start their recovery.

As boring as you are predictable.

There's only so many times you can polish a turd Lee, before it disintegrates. That man utd team are not top 4 quality, not even top 6 quality, and they'll go back to struggling soon enough.

I actually wanted them in the next round, a quick turnaround and then hammer them, but Plymouth will do.

United have been a severely underperforming team full of players with an attitude problem.

Them turning up two weeks in a row for the big games of us and away at the emirates is not surprising.

12 Jan 2025 18:29:52
I wanted Arsenal to go through. I don't want their players having a week off next round.

12 Jan 2025 18:40:18
I was hoping Arsenal beat them to go next round. That will provide Arsenal with more distraction to League.

12 Jan 2025 18:52:14
Unless they make positive buys this window, I think their title race will fade away before Feb ending. The injuries are Pilling up for them and the manager seems to have lost the plot. Having spent tht much, I'm bemused how complacent the fans are the the crap they're being served this season. They're not demanding for success from Arteta, who's now in his 6th season.

Playing 8 at the back and hoping to grab goals on the counter attack is no ‘revival’ for a club the size of Utd. It’s just a necessity and a damming realisation of how low they have sunk.

12 Jan 2025 19:08:34
Get the crosses out, but as someone who likes to see beautiful football I actually wanted arsenal to loose this, their play acting and diving drives me up the walls.

12 Jan 2025 19:22:41
You could have argued either result is "good" for us, Arsenal either have more games to play or they become demoralised because they continue to struggle to score goals and that will weigh on the players.

I'm not saying that is necessarily how it plays out, but it could.

12 Jan 2025 19:35:31
Hey baker, you forgot to mention their time-wastung as well.

12 Jan 2025 20:14:03
My bad willo, it’s the age my friend. I’m not trying to say that we’re perfect in any way, Bruno mcallister drives me up the walls too, but with them it’s a tactic their whole team applies and it’s just to much to enjoy a good game.

12 Jan 2025 20:22:17
I really do think Arsenal losing will shatter their confidence. Make them more desperate to win the league. Desperation leads to very bad things. Think that’s only good for us. Utd however, are an absolute shambles. Two or three games from now they’ll be back to their mediocrity.

12 Jan 2025 20:40:34
Leek don't care about Man United. I care that Grav Mo Virgil stay healthy and we win the league. Worry about the things within our control.

12 Jan 2025 20:50:03
Beat me to it, 1jj. Thought the exact same thing.

One has to give reluctant credit to Amorim, he has gone away to LFC and now Arsenal, and drew one, and won one with ten men standing at the finish, at the homes of the twin favourites for the Premier (he has also beaten City away at the Etihad in the premier) with Ten Hags players but his own playing system, just as Arne has accomplished top of the league and europe with Jurgens squad, with also his own preferred system.

Amorim is unbeaten away at LFC, Arsenal and City, under estimate him at your peril I would conclude, and i am quite certain Arne will not in the future.

Arne will also not under estimate Forest away next, who have won their last six games in the premier league on the bounce, and like Arne rested all their top players for next weeks clash, they also beat Luton in the FA Cup with their fringe players, most looking forward to that clash next week, as for one its an opportunity for revenge which like the weather is a dish best served cold.

we have some of the most insecure fans lol

Personally, I'd like to see a a manU revival. I much prefer going toe to toe with them than City.

Also in real terms of a "revival" - can we also not forget that ETH won his share of trophies whilst at the club!

12 Jan 2025 22:21:33
The late great Ed002 consistently called you a troll and nothing has changed.

12 Jan 2025 22:52:59
I agree Faith, I would be nice to battle it out for the big honours with the old big clubs, hopefully without disrespect about the two great disasters that struck both clubs, but with respect to the great history that both represent.

13 Jan 2025 10:14:16
Saka. Nwaneri, Jeasus all out for injured and only Havertz, who is nearly as inept in front of goal as Nunez, as the sole fit forward will be Arsenal’s undoing. Looks like it’s going to be a while before they have a decent CF playing for them.
