A while ago we were linked with Elliot Anderson. Difficult to get now but one to watch out for in the summer. Doing very well and HG!
IMO :)

Nottingham have a lot of good players, and a very very wealthy owner who is really invested in the club. Buying any player off them will be a pain in the arse! I see them as a threat in the coming seasons too, doubt this season will be a one off for them.

A wealthy owner who invests in the club, what is this thing that you speak of, Fiskesprett?
12 Jan 2025 19:47:03
'Who is invested in' not 'who invests in', Vik ?.
12 Jan 2025 20:07:46
Same difference with St John of Massachusetts. He’s neither invested in nor invests in.
12 Jan 2025 20:25:30
Oh, for god’s sake: how many times does it need to be re-explained that an owner is no longer able to pump outside cash into transfers? That’s why Forest were initially docked points - and if you would really rather have the Forest ownership then good luck to you. Just do a bit of online research, and then tell me you want such people running the club?
12 Jan 2025 20:30:29
Hahaha okay so Nottingham forest are now being held up as the perfect ownership model, are they?
The same side that have been flirting with point deductions and PSR issues? Give me a break!
The revisionism of history going on these pages recently is laughable.
12 Jan 2025 20:48:31
VV, so we should have our owners "invest in the club" and "be invested in the club" even if that means we breakfinancial/ PSR rules to the point of getting ducked points, yeah? Sound.
Now when you acquire your own footie club, you can do whatever and break whatever rules you like the point of getting into deep trouble, the likes that even City have never seen before. Till then, our club is rub well for the most part and long may that continue.
12 Jan 2025 21:22:35
I don’t agree for one second that our business model for one second.
However VV is right. If JWH is ”invested in the club” emotionally, not financially, he is doing an extremely bad job of it it.
It is not solely to do with making money for transfers available. FSG have been an unmitigated PR disaster on so many levels. From the Super League to cost cutting, to ticket price increases.
So when we get these stories about “a bid for Caicedo but not from an official representative of LFC” or “we are monitoring developments regarding player A, B, C etc” are these more spin tales from across the pond to placate the masses?
The temptation of a teat to suckle on is sustenance for some, who gobble it down with relish and are immediately sated. Some take longer to persuade. Some sit on the fence. And other’s call it as they see it.
Neither is the wrong approach. And all cannot be necessarily right either. But all proclaim there way is the best.
The beauty of the site and why we come back day after day. To debate, to disagree and support the club we love with passion.
12 Jan 2025 21:52:04
You don't think there was an official bid for Caceido then, StEtienneAmen?
Do you not think Brighton would have ensured that it was from an official representative of LFC?
And do you understand what an unmitigated disaster means?
12 Jan 2025 22:05:06
"invested" in a bunch of players that NO ONE here would have wanted when they "invested" in them.
12 Jan 2025 22:54:10
Forest with two rs has been involved in relegation battles in two of its two and a half seasons back in the PL, hasn't it?
12 Jan 2025 23:04:56
StEtienneAmen respectfully, not arsed about such "we are monitoring the situation" comments cos they mean NOTHING to me cos Im not one of the "masses" who hang on rubbish in the media that means nothing. Cos those are statements that can be twisted or interpreted any way you want to suit whatever agendas you're trying to run.
If you want to believing such clickbait/ statements that are open to interpretation then, that's your fault and nobody else's. As for the Super League stuff, get over it, mate. It's been two years now and all big 6 teams were also in on it, not just LFC. RM's Perez is trying to bring it back and no one from England is joining. Again get over it.
As for Caicedo deal, why would Brighton and LFC (owned by billionaires) engage in such tinfoil conspiracy crap? Or are you saying that the Brighton General Manager who came out on BBC to explain the whole deal and how well the club and Billy Hogan conducted themselves, was in on the "spoof"? Cringest thing ever.
13 Jan 2025 00:59:32
Ed002 confirmed that the offer had been accepted and that he expected caicedo to be going to Liverpool imminently before Chelsea eventually worked out a deal with Brighton. Stop this conspiracy theory rubbish.
13 Jan 2025 06:56:08
Ah come on. Sure Liverpool fans love a conspiracy. Let them have their fun.
13 Jan 2025 09:13:42
I didn’t for one moment say which side I am on, or what I agreed with. I presented the situations, as they appeared and developed over time.
Some of you are rather quick on the defensive.
For example, no, I do not believe Caicedo bid was a smokescreen. Yes, I do think a lot of what Ornstein publishes is utter tripe.
And yes I do think the position we took re: the Super League was a disaster and it doesn’t matter how long ago it was. As for ticket price rises, when we have more seats and more corporate facilities than ever before, is an utter p-take.
13 Jan 2025 10:05:51
You said you agreed with VV, StEtienneAmen.
We know VV's thoughts on FSG and yours are not difficult to work out.
Repeating FSG conspiracy theories doesn't help with that either.
13 Jan 2025 12:28:00
Of all the clubs you could have picked, you went for Nottingham Forest? The club with the shadiest leadership in the league? A league that has Man City and Newcastle in it? Jesus Christ on a bike.
