If Darwin is to leave this window, I can't imagine that the club wouldn't go and get someone to fill the space. Macca has said Osimhen, ED01 wants Lautaro, Cunha sounds like a good option. who would everyone like to see bought in?

Personally think forward numbers are fine without him anyway. I’d rather use the funds to go big on a world class left back.

Darwin could leave without replacement, (assuming that we don't sign Tzimas - or if we do leave him where he is on loan for a bit) but we'd be putting a lot of faith in either Fede or Danns. I'd certainly prefer to loan out the latter so he gets some regular footie rather than a few games here and there.

Out of the options mentioned, I think Cunha is the best combination of ability and being a realistic target.

Osimhen would be brilliant in my opinion so I’m hoping Macca is right. I do also really like Isak though, but imagine he’d be well over £100m so likely not realistic. 3rd choice would probably be Marcus Thurman at Inter.

I think we need a physical presence who wants to get in the box instead of coming short. We have in Trent, Gakpo and Salah three of the best at delivering from wide areas in the Premier League. We need someone for them to pick out.

I like players like Pedro, Cunha etc but I don’t know if they are much different to Diaz in terms of playing as a false 9. As good as I think they’d be, I just think we need a 20 goals a season striker now.

Now tell me do you know if even works class left back? Because I don’t. Kerkez or this Diouf guy should be fine to come in with potential. A goal scoring striker is needed in every side. I would take Oshimen or Cunha Isak also I think Delap could be decent. We should be bringing in a centre back over any position though but I have no idea who out there is good enough to parter VVD.

14 Jan 2025 12:01:12
I quite like that Konate, at Liverpool, to partner VVD. We've no chance of getting him though.

I can’t think of a world class left back to be honest ? that’s why I’m about to go to Greggs and not sat in the office with Michael Edwards

But Mo scores more goals than any striker, Diaz and Gakpo are both on track to comfortably hit 20 and Jota will always score when fit. Plenty of goals in the team.

Maybe danns is getting a shot.

14 Jan 2025 12:36:08
I 2nd that SR cunha would be perfect.

Danns is our most efficient striker. 3 goals in 45 minutes across four games. No idea what his shot to goal ratio is. How about we give the lad a chance before loaning him out?

Fowler wouldn’t have stood a chance here in this day and age. 5 goals on debut but too slow and overweight. Loan him out, Nunez will come good, plus he works hard.

14 Jan 2025 12:49:05
Out of the three the most I've seen play is Osimhen and to say I'm impressed by him is an understatement, I think the lad is really good but I don't see us signing him purely because of his wage demands, there's no way we'll bow down to them and I'm glad we're not that type of club. That's how you end up with a bunch of kn*bheads like Utd.

14 Jan 2025 13:36:48
I’m sure Salah that Utd just bought poor footballers and slapped them on ridiculous money. Even Rashfords wage is ridiculous not to mention Anthony. I like Konate Rome but he cannot be relied upon to stay fit and does have terrible moments where he is daydreaming and switches off during the game, I don’t think he will ever lose that. It’s becoming clear that Quansah won’t make the grade I’d go as far as to say he is exaggerating injury to go off the pitch if he is feeling under pressure and having a poor game. For me I think Liverpool need a back up LB with promise. A CB a deep lying midfielder as well as creative midfielder and a striker. But obviously not all in this window as it is hard to buy in. But if Darwin is sold we must be bringing in a replacement who is not quite so erratic. Oshimen Cunha and Isak I would take any of these 3.

St Etienne - The point of loaning him out is a better guarantee of playing first team footie so he develops. I think it'd be much better for him at this point in his career than sniffing around the edges of our first team. Slot's not shown much of a propensity to rotate, so if he's subbing out one of the starting front 3, Danns is probably 4th in line to come on, even with Nunez gone. He'll get very little game time.

Realistically the first chance he's going to get good minutes is against Plymouth which is nearly a month away.

"Danns is our most efficient striker. 3 goals in 45 minutes across four games. "

There is literally NO data to prove this. Why? The sample size you provided is next to non-existant. Quit gassing the kid the way you're doing. It's just cringe.
