Not a great first half today, but this is our first away loss this season to a good Fulham team. I think the days of 90 plus point seasons may be unsustainable especially as there are some top sides now in the Premier league. Bournemouth, Fulham, Nottingham Forest and Brighton to name a few can give anyone a good game. We will still get this done, and give Arne some slack as its his first season and realistically we shouldn't be where we are.

Apart from Bradley's cameo, there was absolutely nothing positive today.

We have given the team a pass for the performances we have seen since PSG away.

But today was terrible and this run of poor performances needs arresting ASAP.

Slot has a clear week on the training pitch to work on freshening up minds.

We have some tough games still to come to win this league.

We’re currently 3 points better off than last season and Arsenal are 9 worse off and City 18.

If Arsenal lose heavily to Real this week then their focus might be back on the league come next weekend and there’s still 21 points to play for.

Way I look at this weekend is we started it needing a maximum of 13 and ended it needing a maximum of 11. Got to take the silver lining where we can get it!

I know what your saying about 21 points left JK, but for Arsenal to get to 80 they need 18 from 21. I'd be amazed if they won all 7. Whereas we need 7 points to get to 80. We have a huge amount of wiggle room

If we don't get that, we'll we deserve all the abuse that is thrown at us.

@FPF, like I said on the rumours page, I agree 27th you - the team just seem mentally jaded - two or three of them need a rest, even if it’s just for one game. They need a mental reboot.

Wyred I agree mate. I don’t think Arsenal are capable of getting that many points which realistically is a blessing in disguise.

{Ed025's Note - even if they did JK it would mean Liverpool not getting many points in the remaining games mate..Jackanory, Jackanory.. :)

It's about results and not performances at this stage of the season. The result wasn't good but it was only our second loss in the League this season and that gives us a lot of breathing space.
I think some are already thinking we've won it and are too concerned about how we win it.
I don't think we were that bad in the second half today and this weekend I've seen Arsenal unable to break Everton down and United and City unable to muster a goal between them.
We're not the only team that is tired but we are in the best position. The title is decided over 38 games. Maybe our tiredness is a result of being eleven points clear with only seven games left. That's a huge positive, not a negative.
It's better to be tired and well in front rather tired and playing catch up.

Thought Diaz also changed the game when he came on today. Massive improvement vs Gakpo who when not scoring offers as little as Salah.

I feel like A lot just isn't learning his lesson. He again didn't rotate the squad and it showed. Add 2-3 fresh players to the starting lineup today and they lift the rest of the team. Just my take, but I feel like the subs proved it too.

07 Apr 2025 06:22:28
So you are disappointed on Slot not rotating the squad with Endo, Chiesa and Elliot, but not disappointed at the board for not giving him the player he wants / trusts
You got two options really, Sack Slot and play all your fav players at will. Retain Slot and give him exactly the player he wants.

Is it just me that thinks that maybe we are just not that good? Take Trents game running and Sarah's form away and what do you get? 3 losses out of 4 and the win v Everton was lucky in my opinion.
Can't believe I'm saying this considering we are going to win the league, but I am genuinely concerned and think Slot has got a huge second season challenge coming. Calling it now.

{Ed025's Note - you have been good Westwood but just not great imo, which is why i have said the standard is not as good as usual mate, you are going to walk this league without being at your best...case proven m,lord.. :)

Hes learnt how to win the Prem at the first attempt Snuggle, do we realise what we sound like? any other fanbase would be on cloud nine but not us.

Ed25, City won titles where they weren't great either (87 point in the lockdown season, for ex. ) and not a soul said the league was poor that season or the other couple of seasons they limped over the line so I ain't trying to hear that. Also, we don't need to be great to win the title. Utd showed us that for years so again, ain't trying to hear that.

As much as we have the league nearly in the bag at a global level and that we have been very good this season overall and the nos. bear that out, it is also fair to point out that we simply cannot keep playing this way. Or should I say, picking the same players for every single game. That has to stop.

Is Slot trying to tell me that starting Elliott and giving Szobo a blow for the first 60 mins would have been a prob? Or that suddenly, he who thrived under Klopp suddenly, can't pass a ball in his system? Sorry, I ain't buying that. Oh, and the fact that each of our back 4 made a ridiculous individual error that either led/ nearly led to a goal is absolutely insane. Slot has to do better and so do the players, overall.

{Ed025's Note - i think lockdown was a one off Oli, no crowds or atmosphere made that a very unusual season mate, i agree that you have been good but for me nobody has really pushed you and thats why i say its been a below average season with only one team having the ability to win it, on Slot i think he has done well but he did inherit a very good set of players and im sure we will learn more about his skill set next season when he brings in his own players because i can see a good few leaving for one reason or another, a few of your players look out of sorts at the moment or maybe its fatigue but if there were better candidates to push you i think it would be worrying, the fact is the opposition at the top are not good enough and its been a stroll but i take nothing away from Liverpool who are well deserved champions elect..
