Everyone including me is convinced that Kelleher, Tsimikas, Nunez, Jota and possibly Diaz will go in the summer.
Realistically only Nunez seems to have a definite suitor in Saudi, Diaz to Barcelona is doubtful with them having no money to spend so where do you all think the rest will go?
Hopefully Hughes can negotiate sales out!
07 Apr 2025 20:45:02
The idea that Barcelona would buy Diaz is fanciful.
07 Apr 2025 20:46:20
Diaz is on low wages so a lot of clubs abroad would be interested. Kelleher maybe within the Prem. Jota linked back with Wolves and I've seen links to Newcastle. Tsmikas back to Greece perhaps. We should be trying for 150m for those players.
07 Apr 2025 21:07:42
There is also interest in Saudi for Diaz, hopefully he goes there as they pay ridiculous money for players, see what we got for Hendo and Fab.
07 Apr 2025 21:19:43
We would be lucky to get anywhere near £80 mill combined for all 4. Why would wolves buy Jota? Tsmiskas is a free hit. No takers. Diaz wants Spain and I doubt he gets the move. More like signing an extension.
07 Apr 2025 22:32:46
Sell em all to Saudi. lol.
07 Apr 2025 23:58:43
I’m not convinced they’ll all go. I think Jota might well be here next season and possibly even Tsimi.

The Saudi league is starting to do a U-turn on buying loads of players for inflated prices, you can see that over the last few windows they haven't been splashing the cash like they used to. Every upstart league- Russia, china, etc. - starts to dry up in short order, having secured the world cup they have less motivation to pump cash into the league it would appear. I think hitc sevens did a video on exactly this subject.
{Ed025's Note - maybe Liverpool should have took the money for Mo 18 months ago PB, i think it was around £150m being touted and i dont think anything like that will be offered now mate, lets be honest he has been a great player for the reds but he is definitely on the wane, things move on in football and that could have got you an Isac while in reality he can walk for free at the end of the season..
08 Apr 2025 11:15:28
Edwards is doing the selling, Ward is doing the contracts.
Dickie is collecting polo necks and boat shoes.
08 Apr 2025 11:25:55
Definitely on the wane? He's top of the league goals and assists charts.
08 Apr 2025 12:57:31
Diaz to Barcelona seems highly unlikely now Raphinia has turned things round, and he certainly doesn't start ahead of Yamal. Saudi seems the most likely destination again I'd suggest, Napoli as a Kvara replacement also possible?
08 Apr 2025 07:42:33
You might be right Ed about Mo however I for one are absolutely delighted we didn't cash in and regardless of what his future holds he is the very reason we could get our hands on number 20.
{Ed025's Note - thats a fair point Reds..
08 Apr 2025 08:31:47
I don't disagree with your valuation points Ed but despite the poor form of other teams in the Prem there is absolutely no doubt that keeping Mo Salah has put us on the brink of another league title. His goals and performances this season have been worth the £150m "loss".
We could have got that money and bought a dud so I for one am glad he stayed.
{Ed025's Note - im not saying it was an easy call Tosh, a lot of win No20 is down to him mate but i does irk me when players are allowed to run their contracts down and leave for nothing..
08 Apr 2025 09:02:45
Mo just had one of the all time great seasons in prem history and was instrumental to us being on the cusp of a title though ed, surely that's worth keeping him around for another year (and imo hopefully another one or two), a prem title ib the present or strengthening to challenge for the title in the future, I'd pick the former every time.
{Ed025's Note - i dont doubt you would PB, the guy has been a great asset for a good few seasons now mate and one of the main reasons why you are where you are, its a tough call but i feel with a better management strategy you could have had the best of both worlds..
08 Apr 2025 09:53:22
To be fair though Ed, if we sold Salah 18 months ago, we might not be on the cusp of winning the league this season. I wouldn’t swap getting in £150m for Salah instead personally.
If we wanted Isak when Newcastle bought him I think we could have bought him and still kept Salah, we wouldn’t have needed to buy Nunez if we had bought Isak, so the money was there. We, just like a lot of clubs, missed that one. It happens.
{Ed025's Note - it does FF, nobody is saying its black and white mate its a balancing act for sure..
08 Apr 2025 10:43:49
On the wane> He's top scorer in the league, 3 goals short of 30 again. How is that 'on the wane'?
{Ed025's Note - let me put it this way CTTF, the guy has been superb and yes he is still as fit as a fiddle...but age creeps up on us all mate and even over the last month or so he seems for me to have lost his edge a bit, harsh you might say but i can only say things as i see them, i have been wrong before...but its usually as often as a Preston Guild.. :)
08 Apr 2025 10:48:58
Would we have won this (hopefully) league title if we had sold him tho ed025? I reckon not.
{Ed025's Note - maybe not Liver that would depend on who would have come in for him i suppose mate, its all ifs and buts and there is no doubt that he has been instrumental in this title chase, but like it or not you have to look to the future as well i believe..
08 Apr 2025 12:29:53
Ed25 salah is main reason we will win league this year. Right to keep him though he needs to be rotated more if stays and would have to accept that.
Not sure if he would and not sure we want £400k per week player being rotated!
All fun and games when you try and improve from being champions though isn’t it….
{Ed025's Note - it really is 1jj, but things move on and player come and go mate its just the way it is...the king is dead...long live the king and all that..
08 Apr 2025 16:00:43
Are you serious about that. If Mo had gone would we be in such a good position to win the title this season? Would FSG have reinvested the £150m back into the team?
Unlikely on both counts so it's a good job he satyed.
{Ed025's Note - its a poser Bobby, his goals and assists have been pivotal to your title win but will that carry on next season?, its also about the future and whats best for the club long term, im not saying its easy mate its a massive call...im just putting an alternative view on things..
08 Apr 2025 17:25:33
In fairness Ed, a lot of Mo's seasons has seen a drop off at the end. Even in his first year with us i seem to remember the goals drying up a little towards the end and that was 7 years ago. Not surprised really seen as he starts and plays the 90 in nearly every game from August onwards.
{Ed025's Note - yeah i can see that FM, but sadly all good things come to an end mate and that will apply to Mo im sure..
08 Apr 2025 19:24:29
Yeh it will, that's inevitable but not many players look after themselves like Mo. The days of being finished by 30 are gone. Mo's numbers might drop over time but even if they do he'll probably STILL have the best output of any player in his position in the league.
