Ed001 any chance of getting Adam Wharton home grown and his passing through the lines from the 6 position is something you don't see from English players like that very often.
{Ed001's Note - yes, unless you watch Harvey Elliott play, then you will see the same stuff. I do like Wharton and I am sure there will plenty of interest but I don't think that is what we will be looking to do in the market. We brought Hughes in to unearth hidden gems.}

It's amazing we have won the league this year and blatantly can improve in almost all areas of the pitch, whilst we are top of the tree it would be nice to improve from a position of strength and sign the cream of the crop, I am fascinated to see the work of Richards this summer.

Hailstones - when have we ever recruited the cream of the crop?

Call me cautious but we haven’t won the league yet.

Happens today though SJ high scoring game I think too.

Alisson, Van Dijk, Mane, Torres, Suarez, Dalglish to name a few.

@Faith, when we signed Ali and VVD and Mo, for starters, if the daily discussions for the past 12 months is anything to go by.

Even if we lose every game- I still KNOW that arsenal are incapable of winning every game. We won it mate. Enjoy the next while.

Wharton offers more than Elliott, in my opinion. Don't think we'll get him though, as much as I'd like us to.

About 50% of Elliot’s minutes under Slot have come on the wings who’s season.
Him and Wharton might have similar passing skill sets but they do play different positions as Wharton seems to be used as a deeper lying CM.
{Ed001's Note - but that changed as Slot got to know Elliott, and he has reverted to using him in midfield when he brings him on. Even bringing Jones on to play on the wing in the last game despite Elliott being on the pitch.}

Ed001 that’s true about Elliot mate. I should have elaborated in my message as in Elliot seems to play the more advanced centre mid role.
He’s still finding minutes hard to come by (90 min game time in last 11 league games) but if we wrap it up today I’m hoping to see Slot give him, Endo and Chiesa maximum opportunity to impress in last 4 games.
{Ed001's Note - fingers crossed, though I would understand if he decided not to try Endo due to his age. I absolutely love him, but he is not the future of the club sadly.}

The problem with that ed Elliot is 5 foot nothing with the physical attributes of a feather, tidy player but I don’t think he’s suited to a central role in the prem.
{Ed001's Note - Wharton has a very similar physique and Elliott is far from weak, I don't know where this fallacy comes from. If you think height is relevant, then you are stuck in the 1980s.}

I love Elliot ed001 and think he should be starting ahead of Sobs at the minute as the same as the end of last season his form has fallen way off. And I think Elliott in the 10 offers a lot more than Jones there so Wharton would be more to bulk up the competition with Gravenberch and Mac what I think has shown from January onwards Endo is definitely not trusted to start games in the big games by Slot but I hope he stays next season even for cup games and to see games out.
