Ed1, if Diaz is sold to either Saudi club or Barca, do you think the club should bring in a proper replacement? Or do you think Chiesa, if he stays and Gakpo is enough to cover that position for next season?

Keeping Chiesa to replace Jota makes a lot of sense.
If Lucho moves on, I would be looking to replace him with some speed else we'll be left with a very one-paced forward line.

I'd consider it to be a risk to rely on Chiesa, if Diaz were to go. We'd need to buy, in my opinion, and just hope we don't go back in for Gordon.

Have to agree with you Rome1977 mate I don't rate Gordon at all I'd hate to waste good money on an average player who will cost a packet because he is young and English.

Longthing, Chiesa hasn't been given a long enough run at it, for one reason or another. He can't be accused of not having done enough.
You never know, put him in his preferred position, give him a big hug, and he may do the business.
Anyway, it's WC year and he wants to regain his place in the Italian team. He may well need to agitate his way out of Liverpool, regardless of how much he loves the place.

Delvecs, Chiesa hasn’t been given a chance because he not done enough in training. Do you really think that if Chiesa was performing better than Gakpo or Diaz in training that slot wouldn’t have started him more. I’ve seen him live and he look lightweight and a headless chicken. Looked no where near good enough to me, but hay am no expert so I could be wrong mate.

It’s a shame we couldn’t get Kvaratshkelia I think we’d have won the Champions League had we signed him. Rodrygo and Barcola would probably the the 2 best replacements we could get. I don’t think Leao is all that and I Bilbao fan I know says Nico Williams isn’t much good at all.
