I personally can't see us replacing Chiesa with Gordon or Gomez with Guehi. If those players were to come in I would expect them to replace Diaz and Konate. The others I think are pretty realistic and really quite exciting!

I agree with Shipley, i can't see Guehi going anywhere where he isn't a guaranteed starter leading up to the world cup, Gordon is just noise from last season but a possibility if Diaz does go. Bajetic has all the tools if he finds the application he could be just what's needed to rotate with Gravenburch.

Honestly, I think the Lautaro Martinez rumour is too good to be true. Not going to torture myself with blind hopes. Everytime I watch him at Inter, I always wish he's a RED. Absolute World class!

Looks good to me but 1 big issue. 2 cf and 1 is made of crisp, jota needs to go mate. Big fan of jota when he signed but his time is up. More time injured than playing, as bad as thiago and keita playing time.

I hope Chiesa stays. Also would not want us to get either Gordon or Guehi. Both are overrated English players that would be a drop down in quality to what we already have.
I’d rather Jones for Wirtz instead of Elliot, Elliot is younger and has a higher ceiling.
Anyone know if there is any interest from anyone in Jones?

That would do me nicely, although I disagree with some of you midfield positioning. I think we could see more of Szoboszlai in the central midfield position and Mac Allister could play the DM role.

Konate has had his best season at Liverpool, I don’t rate the lad as highly as some, but he’s miles more talented than Guehi.

I can't see us spending 60 million, or whatever it would be, to buy Guehi to act as back-up to VVD and Ibou. And I hope to God we don't sign Gordon, full stop. So basically, I agree with Shipley.

I was a fan of Gordon coming, but with all of the other changes, and with Gakpo being first choice LW, I'd rather bring in an understudy - someone like Fofana - who can develop and improve. Or indeed replace Chiesa with Doak.

Chiesa got paid as our 5th highest paid player 7.8 mill last season for 1 league start and 1 CL start and 466 mins (5 games) of football in total
At least the injury prone waste of space players were actually worth a little bit more contribution money wise.

Gordon is not fully developed, and would be a long-term squad option, unlikely to agitate for a move down the line. He can play anywhere across the front 3, is rapid and LOVES LFC.
For those reasons, id take him over Diaz, even if there is a slight drop in quality for a season or so whilst he improves and beds in.

Love your posts mk but there isn’t a day that goes by without you mentioning guehi, not only have we showed no interest but he isn’t very good, maybe bajcetic can slot in there as he was a centre back throughout his youth and seems to have knuckled down.
