Looking on the clubs official website at the men's team and Wirtz is in the forwards section. Personally thought he was an attacking midfielder. Perhaps we will be playing with two inverted wingers allowing Frimpong and Kerkez to bomb forward.

I doubt the web admin had a deep tactical discussion with Slot on how Wirtz will be used before deciding whether to classify him as a forward or midfielder.
I wouldn't read anything into it.

I would class him as an attacking midfielder but he's comfortable in numerous positions (10, Winger, False 9) and I suspect we will see him in different roles in different games.
I hope he will mainly play at 10 but he will be far more of an attacking 10 playing in and around and supporting the 9 (like Palmer at Chelsea) rather than the more reserved 10 like Szobo so I'm not surprised he's listed as a forward rather than a midfielder.
I wouldn't read too much into how he's listed on the website.

All about opinions, but I think Dom will be used in the 8 with Wirtz in the 10, Vango. Based on Slot's comments after the last game (IIRC) .
I think, with all players available, Wirtz will play 10, Dom or Macca will play 8, Macca, Grav or Bajcetic will play 6.
Just my view though. Great to have flexibility.

@Vango We are trying to sign a top class striker and I don't think it is to sit on the bench whilst Wirtz plays as a false 9. Like @Zed says I think we will see Szobo far more in the 8 role next season.

Why won’t dom be dropped? Slot has said before he needs more output and he’s arguably the weakest link in the side, the Hungarian Henderson.

Queen, Slot said that in context of Dom playing as a 10 - he's played there most of this season and his stats are well down on Wirtz. Obviously at the time Slot made those comments, Wirtz wasn't even on the radar publicly.
However, Slot also alluded to Dom being a very good 8, which was ultimately what he was bought for (basing this off his shirt number! )

Midfield picks itself for the first 3 games.
If we win our first 3 it’ll be Gravenberch that will struggle to get back in because he won’t change it if its winning.

Gravy is missing only one game. I expect Mac to play 6 as Bajcetic is unlikely to play preseason, maybe longer.
