Evening all hope everyone is okay,
Question for any of the Eds if use could chaps? Ed1 i believe you have said Newcastle may target Watkins. I know this isn’t a villa rumours page but if i could can i ask about him?
Howcome Villa are willing to sell him? I understand could be mainly for PSR but do they have anyone else who can even play up front. I always thought they may cash in on someone like Rodgers or potentially Onana with them getting a higher fee.
I think with Watkins and Martinez they are both good players and for the fees they are likely to get would it be really worth it? Could be wrong maybe some of yourselves don't rate them. Are they in the same position as Newcastle essentially where they are having to sell to buy?

{Ed001's Note - Watkins is one of the least clinical finishers in football - when all the memes were going round about Darwin's finishing, one of the things that stood out for me statistically is that he had a better percentage chance of scoring a goal when he shot than Watkins. He is very much an English Nunez, but also just about at his peak, so little chance he will ever rise in value or improve as a player.}

Watkins is English. That puts a tax on him. And he’s international so again read the room.
