We need a CB so I want us to pay whatever Palace want to sign Guehi and forget about Isak . Crossed fingers.
06 Aug 2025 14:04:55
Thank god you're not in charge Yorkie.
06 Aug 2025 14:13:14
Wow, just wow.

So Gomez can’t stay fit, Konate may leave, Virgil is 34, and we have a chance of a current English CB to drastically improve our defence. Wirtz looks incredible and maybe not a typical no9 but with support from Gakpo, Ekitike and the young 16 year old plus another young winger why spend 150 million, just saying.

I’ll be crossing mine the other way then!
Guehi is an average centre back that doesn’t start ahead of VVD or Konate.
Isak is the best striker in the league and walks into the first 11.

Even if they are asking for £100m?
06 Aug 2025 14:54:11
Carragher is of the same opinion about Isak, we spent 80 million on Ekitike so is he now a reserve if Isak comes to us .
06 Aug 2025 15:06:48
Steve, we aren't going to pay you whatever you want for a Spurs / Newcastle-level defender to forgo a world-class striker.
Now hurry and sign some players yourself because Olly's on the verge of quitting.
06 Aug 2025 15:21:16
I wouldn't base your argument on Carragher's view, Yorkie.
06 Aug 2025 15:21:54
Why do you care so much what Jamie Carragher thinks?
06 Aug 2025 15:37:24
Yorkiered nah, we're not going to do that. Sorry, man.
06 Aug 2025 16:32:08
Ekitike is a reserve? He will get loads of game time at both cf and lw. I think slot has learnt his lesson that rotation is key, plus we all know Isaac needs to have his minutes managed. Having two quality cf is only ever a good problem to have.
The signing of a cf does not preclude our signing of a cb, the club has money to spend and will/ is doing so.
Also, just because Jamie Carragher says something doesn’t mean it is gospel ?.

I spent three years working with Carragher. He makes West Derby Wanderer look like Albert Einstein. Thick as a whale omelette.
