Ed001 I think we will get Isak mate and he will be a great addition to the team. Without sounding like a kid and greedy ? do you think we will have enough options in the front 3? We will have lost Jota tragically ?, Nunez, Diaz and possibly Cheisa, and bought in Entikie and Isak. It's like 4 out and 2 in mate. Rio is just a kid as you have said and can't be seen properly as a first team player, even rumours of Elliot leaving.
Just looking at it really it seems we will have reduced options up there? Unless we are looking to bring in another along with Isak.

I think we will get 1 more if Chiesa and Nunez both go, possibly Fofana (with the Morton deal helping, no doubt) .
So we will have Gakpo/ Ekitike/ Rio/ Fofana/ Wirtz as left options, Isak/ Ekitike/ Gakpo/ Wirtz as CF options, Salah/ Fofana/ Frimpong as RW options.
Don’t forget that Wirtz and Frimpong can both cover 1 or more of the front 3 roles even though they have joined for other positions.

Was Chiesa really an option last season.
Darwin only featured in 32% of league minutes so it’s not a lot of minutes that actually need replacing.
Diaz is the biggest loss but Ekitike and Isak (if signed) will easily cover those and Jota’s whilst probably reducing Mo’s.

The most seismic transfer window we’ve ever had and people still not happy! Whether it all knits to begin with I’m not sure but it’s so exciting to be a red please all just trust the process and enjoy the ride!

The big thing is cover for mo as he will be away at Afcon.

Don't forget Ben Doak. Really wouldn't be surprised to see him retained if a significant offer isn't received. Slot et al may challenge him to step in for Salah during AFCON.

Núñez, Diaz, Chiesa and (sadly) Jota, no longer at the club.
Front line hopefully looks like….
Salah, Isak and Gakpo
Frimpong, Ekitike and Rio as back ups. (Think Ekitike will push Gakpo and Isak hard, so will get plenty of minutes) .
Add to this Wirtz, Szoboszlai and a few others who can help out, we are looking pretty good up top.
We definitely need another CB and I can’t see a world in which we don’t get one.

It’s not that people aren’t happy, it’s just showing some tentative concerns about squad depth. Going from 6 attackers to four across a potential season of 60 odd games takes its toll.
