Just watched some highlights of Leoni the centre back were rumoured to be interested in.
Highlights were a series of hoofed clearances and a lot of hands behind the back defending moments (pet hate of mine) .
Still hopeful we'll get Guehi. More I watch of him his style reminds me of konate in terms of aggression but he also looks good on the ball.

Guehi is nothing like Konate. Konate is a big dominant centre back and as strong as an Ox, Guehi is a short, small weakling who’d struggle to fight his way out of a wet paper bag. Notice that neither Real Madrid or PSG are interested in Guehi but both are interested in Konate. Guehi is a very average premier league defender, good enough for the bench, but not a starter.

VV sticking to his one note narrative. Guehi was the only bright spark for England at the last major tournament. He was very dominant, alert to danger, quick and very good on the ball. He’d be a great signing.

Leoni is just 18 and six foot five and would be a Quansah replacement imo.
Ed025 sure has some "interesting" player takes. Guehi is captain of his club and very good passer of the ball under pressure, something Slot appreciates and a one reason Q is gone. He will start in his 2nd World Cup next summer for his country (but his country is not Scouseland) . His play in the air is not the best. He would be a fine rotational CB with Virg and Konate.

{Ed025's Note - for me KCD Guehi is a weak as a kitten mate, poor in the air, and tankers in the Mersey turn quicker...but besides that he is brilliant.. :), the reason he is anywhere near the England Squad is that the manager has not got a jar of glue..

VV I made an observation about playing style and you refer to the player’s physical characteristics.
I stick to my view that I’ve had for ages.
Liverpool scouting team rate him as do
Newcastle’s and he’s been England’s best centre back in recent times.
I think he’ll be a good signing if we get him.
