It might be a last day job, both clubs hanging tough on their valuation but Palace ultimately know they got to get a fee or keep him and get nothing. A deal will be done I would guess.

If our stance is not to spend £40m then total admiration! I find that a lot even if he has 3 years left on his contract. I don’t think he is poor he is an able CB IMO (a replacement for an unfortunately injury prone Gomez) and offers some flexibility but he’s not a regular Liverpool starter for me and £40m on a replacement is high.
