Ed question if you could please mate and hopefully this isn’t seen as me just asking about when will Isak signs etc.

But what is the difference if you could provide me with an insight mate on the situation with Isak and Kane a couple of years back when Spurs kept hold off him?

I seen a video before off someone saying Kane had to basically get on with it and was a pain in the backside as he wanted to go to city. What are the differences between Kane when he wanted to go to City which that move didn’t materialise to Isaks situation now. Is there any at all I wasn’t aware Kane was abit of a pain in the backside a few years back when he wanted the City move if you could provide me with an insight as to how it may be different i would thoroughly appreciate it mate or any of Eds if use could please chaps.

Appreciate use always having the time to respond to me even if sometimes it may seem repetitive and around the same situation.

What makes you think the Eds will know, KK1809?

I don't to be honest Rigsby, they may not know but thought it may be worth an ask. I completely forgot about the whole Kane to City saga. I obviously now i seen a video around it remember them being interested but had a brief read online then about it and seen city bid but it got rejected an so on. I forgot too about that dodgey interview Neville done with Kane, meanwhile he’s saying that Newcastle remain firm. Im sure at the time as to why i said it was dodgey United were linked to Kane to, but again you do tend to forget.

So just a question really tbh i know that move didn’t materialise but wondering if any of the Eds have an insight on why this may be different. It may not and that could be that mate.

I would say Kane was more concerned with is spurs legacy than Isak is with his Newcastle one also by the sound of it this Isak thing started at the end of the season before when they tracked back on giving him a new contract so he informed them he was leaving at the end of the season.

Dude you need to relax on the whole Isak thing, no offense but it feels like you're constantly thinking about him and post a variation on 'is he coming or isn't he' every single day.

Ha ha! This one is for King Kenny! Ed1, when is Isak signing?! lol KK I would advise taking a long nap and set your alarm for the 1st of September. Wake up and all will be revealed ?.

Every player is different I'd suggest.

A lot depends on what they've done whilst they've been there, have they achieved all they think they can achieve, what age they are when a potential move could happen (and would it be an opportunity missed if not moving when the interest is there)? It could be financial and they may feel they are worth more and their current club can't afford to pay what they now feel that they're worth. Their family might not like the area/ kids schools etc.

These are just little things I'm thinking of off of the top of my head but every play has their own reasons for wanting to move on if another club has shown interest.

Ultimately, if they're under contract they should honour it as best they can and train as normal but there's nothing wrong with them also approaching their manager and saying "I know I'm under contract etc but I'd like to leave if a sensible offer comes in"

It's at that time I feel when the club should think, ok, we need to get maximum value and put a price on their head. Advise the player that if the asking fee is met then they'll let them go.

Thing is, this is in an ideal world, and it doesn't often happen like this hence why I go back to the original line of every situation is different. Unless someone actually knows the reason behind Kane's failed move it's all just guess work and there could be lots of reasons it didn't happen.

Spurs is Kane’s boyhood club. His dream since he was 6 was to play for Spurs so it was much harder for him to leave and he had to be tactful so as not to upset the fans or the club.

Isak grew up not even knowing that Newcastle United exist. He went there to use them as a stepping stone to bigger and better things and now that’s here he doesn’t want to miss out.
