Morning all. Quick question for anyone that knows. Mamarshdavili (I'm just going to call him marmalade from now on) is being reported as a signing for this summer on Sly Sports etc, but does anyone know how the signing was done?
Was he signed last year and loaned back for a year? Was it arranged last year but only done now like what we did with Keita?
I know it doesn't really matter, just curious.

{Ed078's Note - He was signed 10 months ago but the move was deferred until July of this year. That's not the same as signing and loaning back. If he was signed and then loaned back, wages etc would need to reflect his contract. He remained at Valencia until the transfer became "official".
That's my understanding, others may wish to correct me.

I always thought that an agreement was in place but he was not officially a Liverpool player, hence he was not loaned to Valencia, he was still their player.
The fee for him should be included in this financial year.
I could be wrong on that, but sure that's what I remembered hearing at the time of the event.

I thought he was signed and then loaned out BUT I got no evidence.
