Konates head is gone. I think he's hankering for a move. The best way for that would be to play well.

IMO slot hooked Quansah off first game for missing a couple of headers last season.
Konate needs to be dropped . we are at home so i would even chuck in Gomez at this point.
Konate has been awful for a large time period.

He’s never comfortable with changes in defence. Once rb is settled he will steady himself.

Slot is a lot less loyal to his first team than Klopp and is prepared to bench players eg Nunez.

Never overly rated Konate and definitely the contract situation is in my opinion making things worse for him. I say get Leoni in now. Sink or swim.

He will play Konate against Arsenal. Now, if he Konate has a bad game again, probably Slot will bench him for Gomez or a new signing. I think Leoni is going to be brought slowly into the team so won't play much at first.

How can anyone sure konate’s head is gone? Give this guy a chance. He was great last season and may only just need a couple of games to get up to speed.

I was a bit perturbed last night to read Slot getting abuse on the Chat after everything he’s achieved and everything the club has been through in his short tenure.
He has my total support.
I think we all need to chill, we’re 2 games in, Wirtz getting judged, Kerkez getting judged Slot getting abused, Salah getting slated.

I would drop him like a hot very heavy stone. He's miles of it. Good job VVD won every header as he was the only one. The LB what was he doing for the goal? Turned his back. Offered no challenge and didn't get his feet off the deck.
I'll take the 3 points but I feel like we robbed them. I'm glad it's out the way, but we won't be that lucky again this year. Shambles! Look like a disjointed mess players in each others space, not knowing what to do. Our team sounds great on paper. Shame we play on grass.
Slot has a lot to sort out imo. I feel like we have gone from one extreme to another. No real changes last year to many this year. Thank god gravenberg was back. Overall 4-10.

Ed001 going to sound like a dig but it’s not.
How often have you seen Leoni play? Only asking as I’ve not seen him at all and you must be pretty confident in his ability to have the opinion to throw him in against our closest title rivals mate.
{Ed001's Note - not as often as I have seen Konate to know he couldn't be any worse. You can't keep picking someone who is costing us goals just because you are scared the alternative is not ready.}

Ed1,has you had any chances of watching clips or past matches involving Leoni? Just curious how good he actually is. I remembered you said someone mentioned to you that he is one of the best CB prospects in the world right now. And that someone happen to watch a lots of Italian football.
{Ed001's Note - I have watched a few games as I am going to do a player profile of him when I can. I try and find games with more than one player I have on the list to speed the process of getting them done. He is not perfect, but with Virgil alongside him, I think he could cope. I would certainly be more confident with him than Konate. He gives me the fear at the best of times, but when he is playing like this I have to hide behind a cushion.}
