Am sure we are all annoyed about us not getting Guehi in the end.
What i will say though is, i think it’s pathetic the stuff coming regarding glasner walking if Guehi did leave.
I understand Guehi is club captain, Palace had little time to replace and if we don’t sign him in January could ultimately lead them to European success and a high table finish so the money is irrelevant per say.
So i understand all that, but for glasner to say he will walk when he probably will in 12 months? It’s a kick in the teeth from the manager i think towards Guehi. Lad has acted like a top pro and been denied a move in cruel circumstances, goes to show you do have to agitate for a move nowdays unfortunately.
I have no doubt Guehi will be fine as seems he has a good crop of lads around him at palace. However just can't help but think Glasner has acted like a brat, especially when the lad has gave you his all. You would like to think that would play a part in a relationship unfortunately for Guehi it hasn’t.
Really feel for him in this situation, liverpool aside as he seems a well grounded lad.

Wait until Glasner hears that Guehi will leave for free in 12 months!

We thought we would suffer for Zubimendi not coming. Slot found a way, and Gravyboat dominated Zubimendi on Sunday.
I would leave Guehi to palace and focus on the future, which is Leoni developing under VVD, Ibou and Gomez. Faith and strength in what remains, as The Bible says. The window is closed, the opportunity has gone, and it’s time to support our squad, not wistfully wonder on what hasn’t happened.

I mean, i personally think this was the best case scenario as it means we're in running to sign him for free for 2026-27 season. We're due a good free signing lol.

Palace have had all summer to replace him, they’ve known he won’t sign a new contract for months and we made our interest known in June.

He may not get this opportunity ever again which is sad, imagine if Utd or leverkusen came calling for glasner do we think he’d hang around? No he’d be out of there like a shot.

KK that's why Glasner's doing it. He himself will be looking for an upgrade in 12 months so he doesn't really care about the £35 million Palace are losing out on. He wants the best squad possible to max out this season to make himself look as good as possible to his potential suitors. Palace's financial situation will be the next guy's problem.
Didn't he throw his toys out at Frankfurt as well?

I couldn't agree more with EndoThePier. Unless the guys who are very close come here to tell us otherwise, I don't know that it's certain that we'll go back in for Marc Guehi in January or even at all. Gravenberg has shown that there's also light at the end of the tunnel, and we never know how Leoni will develop, or if Konate knuckles down and sign a new deal. Either way, we just have to wait and see, and cope with whatever happens as the season progresses.
Thanks to all the Eds and the guys in the know here you stuck out their necks to provide blow by blow accounts. Even the telenovella that developed here was epic, The Real Scousewives!
It was all good fun, and I'm grateful to be a part of this group.

I think we will go back for guehi. We thought he was a bargain at 35m, at 20m in January or free next year that would be even better value. Clearly he is a player we have wanted for a while.
