Well if you want to know how the club feels I would suggest reading the article earlier today from Paul Joyce. It's as clinical a hit piece as any finish Mo has done before.

. "what he hopes to achieve from a remarkable act of betrayal. "

. "consider that in light of Salah's latest brattish behaviour and, really, who is the problem here? "

Mo may well have been speaking the truth, in part, but this has turned into a spectacular own goal for him. I would say it's almost certain he won't come back from the AFCON and we may well have seen him play his last game in a Liverpool shirt - especially if the club make an example out of him. That is a desperately sad way for one of club legends to bow out.

What is doubly disappointing is that this appears to have given Slot more support when actually he should be under more pressure than ever before given his continued shortcomings.

Salah should’ve been giving Slot more support if he gave a toss about the club. He’s a senior player and the young players will follow him so for him to come out saying this now we can only assume it’s been bubbling behind the scenes for a while.

At a time when the senior players should be pulling everyone together he has caused a gaping rift and has been a shocking role model for the new players and young players alike.

The sooner he’s gone the better.

I never thought I’d be saying that sentence about Mo Salah I’ve literally worshipped the guy for 8 years but the club always comes first and that’s obviously not the case for him.

I don't think that Mo Salah will play again for LFC,
He had scored a huge own goal.

Can’t make an example out of him he still has 18 months left.

It isn't a matter of supporting Salah over Slot or vice versa - that is mere useless perception in a situation that requires making actual decisions.
Slot needs to go because he isn't coaching the first team to the required standard, it's as simple as that.

If Liverpool were top of the league and Salah came out with his admittedly self-serving interview, he'd be unanimously dismissed as a player unable to accept his time as the main man is passing, which it is, but none of that matters when Slot is doing such an appalling job.

Sean Dundee stop patrolling these boards laying into Salah, that’s all you’ve done. He feels aggrieved with Slot, Hughes and Edwards for edging him out the door. I’d feel the same. The manager has turned a winning formula into a car crash. Players can have bad spells but this is the whole squad give or take a few players and that car crash is on Slot.

Hear hear Mr. Kippers.

08 Dec 2025 08:35:24
Frode Kippers, 100% agree he is being made the scapegoat . I agree as a senior player he has the right to air his views ( even in public) think people are overlooking how bad we are n if we was winning everything and the players were playing great, Slot in 5 .

months has turned the leagues top scorer n assists into nothing, remember Ronaldos interview n he got slaughtered but turns out he was right.

08 Dec 2025 10:05:22
Agreed, Frode. Slaah can say whatever he wants, it does not remove the fact that Slot has destroyed HIS own legacy aby abandonning everything he achieved last season. Those are two facts that can exist on the same spectrum. The players tried to resolve the tactical issues privately and Slot told them to go pound sand. Salah prolly thinks "If that's the case and Im being benched for poor perfs., why are the other ones playing poxy footie not being benched"?

People may disagree with the way Salah came out like he did BUT his is and will never be the source of our issues. Neither is Wirtz. The manager has chosen to persist with these tactics despite the abject perfs. and humiliations which make our team look terrible despite all the talent in the squad, so if Salah thinks he's being scapegoated for Slot's own incompetence.

08 Dec 2025 16:14:42
Sorry, pressed send too, soon. So if Salah thinks he's being scapegoated for Slot's own incompetence then, maybe he is right about something after all. Others can choose to do/ say (or speak at all) what they want but he has chosen to speak for himself

"Salah should’ve been giving Slot more support if he gave a toss about the club. "

@Sean, you can literally apply this logic to Slot, in some instances this season already. You think Slot gives a toss about the club with the arrogant way he has been coaching the team with the humiliations we are suffering from near any tom, Dick and Harry except WH?

If Slot cared about the club/ players and the fans, he would have changed the tactics, like the players asked him to do. Instead, he told them all to go pound sand by sticking with such horrific tactics. Is that not Slot being "all about Slot", the same thing we accuse Salah for?

Also, Salah and the whole squad supported Slot when he arrived and when people were mocking him for being a Ten Haag regen, only for him to go and dog-walk the league with the help of this same player he is now at war with.

Make it make sense.
