If Slot does leave (and it's certainly looking like the walls are crumbling around him and the club may be left with no choice but to sack him) - do the Ed's or ITK posters on here like Carra, Robbo, VG, TheFields, think Simone Inzaghi may be looked at as a long term replacement? I understand Alonso is looking the preferred option but surely they will have other options too.
He looks like a guy whose preferred system and tactics together with the ability to get the best out of players, would be suited for our squad of players.

Who would be your top preferences Ed001?
{Ed001's Note - Iraola. I loved Xabi the player and he looks to have the makings of a top coach, but he would need a break after Madrid and some time to assess what went wrong before taking another job. I have to say the options are very limited. The only other punt really worth looking at that I can think of, would be Hoeness.}

Ed, would it be worth it to put an interim manager for the rest of the season? Let everything stabilise for a bit, and take a look at either Enrique or Flick at the end of the season? Whether either would be interested in the job. I think Enrique is, as of right now the best manager in football.
