Morning Eds, Its been a tough morning thinking about the games recently.
With it looking like Alonso is gone, would your next pick be Hoeness or Iraola? (if both were possible)

I'm Iraola over Alonso so if we end up there, happy days for me.
Clear choice for Edwards if he wants what he wants.
Clear choice for fans in terms of style of play, humility, and personality.
He does not have a Klopp personality, but he is extremely humble and also extremely passionate in his far less animated way.
And he is a free agent.
How can he not be at the top of the list for Edwards given how he wants to operate?
I hold out my slim hopes that he is the guy and it's all being kept quiet.

If they were planning to sack him, who better to keep it a secret than someone who Hughes already has a relationship with.
Would have rather XA personally just hope Slot goes.

I'd bring Hodgson back over Slot. I'd bring Moores back over Edwards/Hughes.

I can't think of one manager who has successfully stepped up from a mid table Premier League club to a top Premier League club and won trophies. Not Potter, not Pochetino, not Moyes, not Howe, not Rodgers. The right candidate was Alonso and we've contrived to screw that up. I don't think Iraola is the manager that some think him to be, and given that his family hate living in England it would just be more of the same issues we have with Slot.
As for Alonso, well if he has agreed to join that lot (notwithstanding the fact that we have also dropped a bollock), then he's absolutely soiled any legacy he has here and I hope he gets dogs abuse whenever he shows his face.
