Mo Salah’s Instagram post underlines how far the club has drifted from the identity that has brought us to the top over the past decade. Every season another player or coach leaves and that identity drifts more and more and the club is being overran by people who seem intent on dragging us as far away from it as possible.

I love Mo Salah, I love Andy Robertson, I love the whole Klopp era and it’s honestly heartbreaking to see the direction the directors of the club seem intent on heading in.

We have so quickly lost the mentality that was our defining characteristic for a decade.

In my opinion it’s not just slot that needs to go, it’s the directors who put their own egos over the needs of the club, and also any players that are happy sitting in mediocrity and taking their easy training sessions and extended holidays. That is not our club, that is not the culture we have built and the sooner anyone with that mentality gets kicked out the door the better.

Salah is more of a captain than Virgil.

He's been banging this drum on his own for a while. Speaking up for us fans whilst some of them players have been blaming us.

I've mentioned for months the disconnect between Club and Supporters, but that post today tells me at least the great Mo Salah still has us Liverpool fans at the front of his heart.

I wish he could stay in place of Slot, Hughes and Edwards. Long Live the King. ? ??

A captain doesn't make this kind of statement at this point. A disgruntled foot soldier does tho.
