I mentioned certain potential managers being able (or not) to manage certain big personalities in our dressing room.
Mohammed salahs interview is exactly what I think most of the fans knew what was there. That interview is nothing short of disgraceful. Unfortunately for slot with the results and performances being dire, salahs comments will gain more sympathy than criticism.

This club is struggling atm and this guys ego knows no bounds. Salah and konate should be both sold in January.
Salah does the odd interview when he's motm or looking a contract.
This club needs a reset.

06 Dec 2025 21:55:59
He’s also not really wrong is he?

Macca and Konate have both been worse than Mo this season overall and yet only one of those three has been dropped for three in a row.

He never said he hasn’t played poorly but that he’s being made the scapegoat and he has a bit of a point.

Whether he should say it at all as a senior player is entirely another matter.

Agree5

06 Dec 2025 22:16:16
Telling what many believe is the truth is now disgraceful?

Agree1

06 Dec 2025 21:43:55
That Salah interview stinks. For me it’s simple. He has been as poor as anybody this season. Actually goes back to the last six weeks of last season.

His status protected him, probably fairly, from being dropped sooner. He’s no longer in possession of the position and that is fair based on performances. Whilst the team continues to struggle, the player who has taken his position on the right has been one of the few highlights.

Earn it back. Wait for your chance off the bench (he didn’t take the one he got in midweek) to prove that you’re still the man.

That interview had Ronaldo vibes, all about the individual. Disappointing if it’s all going to end sourly for Mo.

06 Dec 2025 21:48:04
He’s been poor cos slot tactics are obviously stifling him
How come all of a sudden he ain’t scoring but also not assisting

And ow suddenly he is supposed to protect. Bradley more? U guys are a joke.

Agree3

06 Dec 2025 20:49:57
You know nothing. Mo is speaking as the figurehead, the person even Virgil looks up to. It’s not for his own sake he’s speaking.

Agree6

06 Dec 2025 21:52:43
Player power. He, virg and konate can't be playing here next season. They have to be at new clubs. Konate tried to do the club over off the field and did the club and himself over on the field. Virg is not a proper leader and is on vast decline now. Get money for salah and virg in the summer.

Agree1

06 Dec 2025 22:01:23
I don’t agree he’s speaking out for the team. This is all about Mo Salah, make no mistake about that. Recall the time he picked a very visible row with Klopp on the touchline because he’d been put on the bench.

He’s one of those players who wants the individual accolades and that’s what drives him above all else. Obviously that also comes with huge benefit for the team he’s playing for.

Agree2

06 Dec 2025 21:42:17
My God. That surely is the absolute end of it!

06 Dec 2025 20:46:34
Mo is the guy everyone comes to. He sits in the same spot at the coffee station and listens to everyone, hands out the drinks. His words are on behalf of the whole team. Slot has lost the dressing room. That’s the message.

Agree6

06 Dec 2025 21:58:49
No, salahs ego has been bruised. Trent used to be very confident around the place too because these players are only ever told how "special" they are. Trents like a mouse at the new club. When you've nothing to prove anymore and it's not going well, suddenly it's someonelses fault. Salah is not the same player and can be benched by any manager that sees fit.

Agree1

06 Dec 2025 22:16:45
Slot hasn't lost the dressing room, the dressing room was cleaved when "someone from the club wants me out" made it known to Slot that Salah is to be sold ("I already told my mom and dad, Brighton might be the last game" ) . I know it looks like I'm making many assumptions but if you think Salah didn't prepare to say all these and it can't just be because Slot hasn't played him for 3 games ("What happens in the dressing room should stay in the dressing room" ) .

This is much deeper that we all think, I believe Salah is ranting at the owners / Richard and Edwards as he's learnt they now consider him surplus 👍.

Agree1

07 Dec 2025 01:04:41
Of course he's referring to them all Tobi! They're all involved in this total FU!

Mo Salah.

"I had a good relationship with the manager. All of a sudden we don't have any relationship. I don't know why. It seems to me that someone doesn't want me in the club
"I can't believe it, I'm very disappointed. I've done so much for this club, everyone can see that over the years, especially last season. To be on the bench, I don't know why. I feel like the club is throwing me under the bus. That's how I feel, says Salah.
If that doesn't say the dressing rooms gone then nothing does.

06 Dec 2025 20:25:07
Bye Slot, you selfsatisfied rubbishbird. Some guys are far more honorable than you are. Team Mo.

Agree7

06 Dec 2025 21:29:01
Disappointed in salah doing that but not unexpected. He too fond of doing interviews to get out what he wants, putting himself above the club.

Agree2

{Ed001's Note - he has barely given any interviews in his entire time with Liverpool. That is a disgraceful thing to say. He tries to avoid doing interviews most of the time.}

06 Dec 2025 20:32:03
The club needs to put out a statement. Klopp isn’t here anymore as that glue, LFC to the Fans

Someone needs to send a message from the top because this silence isn’t acceptable.

Agree10

06 Dec 2025 21:35:19
I have a feeling they'll have to make a statement now, that can't be left as it is, there is clearly huge issues with other players too.

Agree2

06 Dec 2025 21:36:55
He done several interviews on tv last season after games talking about his contract or lack of one at the time. To me u do that behind closed doors and same as that interview, club is at low point and doesn't need the circus that it will bring.

Agree0

{Ed001's Note - yes, the only ones he has really done. As for your thoughts, irrelevant, you have no idea what is going on, or what was going on back then either. He has every right to complain about his treatment. He deserves better.}

06 Dec 2025 21:37:32
Mo has basically just told the club it's me or slot. Pick him and I'm out in January. I'd pick Salah all day but I don't think Hughes and co have the bottle to sack slot.

Agree2

06 Dec 2025 21:38:06
I'd say if they do LFC8, it'd be a goodbye.

Agree1

06 Dec 2025 21:45:14
Not been in form all season and yet throws a wobbler when benched . Not a fan of Slot, but I think this is poor from Mo.

Agree1

06 Dec 2025 21:45:15
Something has to give here. Club legend, all time XI. I think even Slot loyalists will find this hard to ignore.

Agree2

06 Dec 2025 21:45:25
Hellohello, what makes you think they don't have the bottle? I'm curious to know.

Agree0

06 Dec 2025 21:45:26
Feel for the dressing room when you have senior players making that type of interview.

The difference between how Virg and even Trent handled the media when contracts was coming to an end is night and day.

It is a real shame. For me feels like it is the end of both Slot and Salah.

It doesn't sit right with me having players make such comments after three games of being benched.

But on the other side if the club was going to change the system in a way that wouldn't suit Mo they should of let him go for free in the summer after winning a premier league.

Agree2

06 Dec 2025 21:45:28
It's just unbelievable. I'm actually shocked.

Agree0

06 Dec 2025 21:49:01
As a supporter of club for 40years I would like to think my thoughts are relevant. But maybe not.

Agree1

06 Dec 2025 22:12:54
Digger if we all just agreed all of the time it wouldn't be near so much fun on here. Plus Frode wouldn't be telling us all that our posts are rubbish which I'd miss too. And imagine Vik agreeing all the time? It's our differing opinions that make the site. And the Eds of course! Keep it coming brother.

Agree0

07 Dec 2025 01:16:54
They are Digger.

Agree0

06 Dec 2025 21:16:36
Well that Mo interview is explosive.

If Brighton is the end I hope Anfield sings for the Egyptian King from whistle to whistle. Give him the send off he deserves.

06 Dec 2025 21:22:40
For those fans that still support Slot, his treatment of Mo might change a few opinions.

Agree4

06 Dec 2025 21:31:08
😆love it, slate Salah the whole season saying he has to be dropped. Then when the manager drops the bloke the same people will use it as a stick to beat Slot with. Got a real turn off the fans of my own club this season. Seems were only the best fans in the world when everything is going well.

Agree5

06 Dec 2025 20:37:18
I don’t know who you are but you sound like Slots wife. You know the square root of eff all. Your username is enough to show your loyalties are elsewhere. GYAC Musiala has never played for us.

Agree3

06 Dec 2025 21:46:24
That’s not it Flo. There’s a difference between benching and ostracising someone. That’s man management, if that’s not been there we have the wrong people running the club.

Maybe it’s a self-centred takedown by Mo, who knows. But if this is what things have come to with an icon changes are needed perhaps more than all of us thought.

It’s been a bit of a shambles this season, no matter how much hope we may have before each game. Perhaps it needed something nuclear as a catalyst for change.

Agree1

06 Dec 2025 21:47:02
It's soo distasteful how people's unhappiness with slot gives salah a jail free card. I'd be delighted if both were moved on. Salah and virg should have never been handed massive contracts. The squad needed reset 2 seasons ago and fortunately for them they got 2 massive contracts because of the circumstances.

Agree1

06 Dec 2025 21:50:18
There is a way to drop a player and clearly Slot has failed to do that. Yep Mo has been poor this season but almost every player in the squad has too. We don't need Barratt Holmes sniffing around to figure out the guilty common denominator.

Slot's tactics and team selection is like watching an adult variation of musical chairs. Nobody knows where they'll be in 30 seconds or if they'll be playing at all.

Agree1

06 Dec 2025 22:48:36
Good old Arnie. Wrecks the team with utter cack footie then turns on a legend. Great manager that Slot is. Do yourself a favour Arnie move to Liverpool permanently as a start or clear off now.

Agree1

06 Dec 2025 21:15:47
So, another disappointment in a run of disappointments. I get that we play slow to save legs for the long season but right now, if we continue as we are, we will have nothing to fight for. It’s time to release the handbrake and get some good feeling back. Play isak up top, Wirtz behind, eki left and maybe Chiesa right (hopefully semenyo come Jan) Szobo and grav in the middle.

Absolute pointless saving ourselves when we need to get back on track. Get our best players on the pitch and start out running teams. Fight for the badge/ club.

It’s been dire all season but it’s time to show some passion. I know it won’t happen and we will just plod on but we need to try something different.

06 Dec 2025 21:21:48
Check out the Mo interview Wy bud.

Salah… I’m benching you as your form has dropped… konate and gapko first on the team shert.

Team shert what is that?

Looks like Salah has had a few words with the media after the game, who survives this battle?

06 Dec 2025 21:18:41
Bit miffed for him chirping, he hasn’t said a word when we’ve been poor. Now he decides to add more bad feeling to the mix.

We are building for life without Salah, rightly. He’s getting paid handsomely so just get on with it. He will eventually leave a legend but right now the last thing we needed was more fuel especially when he goes to afcon in days.

Agree3

06 Dec 2025 21:52:12
I'm sure Salah is hurting at the performances and the position the team finds itself in. Not sure what Slot is building I don't even see the foundations yet.

Agree0

06 Dec 2025 20:56:35
I can’t believe what I have just watched, when we were two up I knew we would mess this up.

What frustrated me the most, we ended up with only one attacker on the pitch at the end of the game. The manager has to take them blame for us dropping two points today with his dreadful tactics.

06 Dec 2025 20:32:58
Don't agree with a lot of slots decisions and think he prob has to go.

But I don't think new manager is the only thing needed. There will be a little new manager boost but the type and scale of individual mistakes is crazy this season.

Tonights game reminds me of early klopp days they'd score two or three than Migs would make a clanger or Karius etc.

Don't know what's happened with Konate, thought he had the ability but maybe he thought he had choice of Europe in summer and let's his eye of the ball that his confidence has gone.

Been happening since beginning of the season I remember people wanted Leoni to get a chance. If he wasn't inured think he'd of pushed Konate for minutes.

Going into the season with VVD, Konate and Leoni I think has bit hard.

06 Dec 2025 20:39:42
Konate can’t make individual mistakes (like the two first goals) if he isn’t on the pitch.

Bradley started and Gomez was fit.

There was no reason to start him when he’s in such poor form and no excuses for his individual mistakes.

Agree1

06 Dec 2025 20:42:46
Who starts instead of Konate? Gomez has only been fit last two games.

Agree0

06 Dec 2025 19:51:39
Endo? We could even play Gomez at centre back and Bradley at right back. Weird, I know, right?

Agree4

06 Dec 2025 19:52:26
He’s obviously not going to be sacked, because he’d already have been given the boot by now. This performance was no different to many many before it

But It’s time to at least hear from those running the club

I want to hear the plan, back this failing manager if you must, but I seriously think the fans deserve a statement from those in charge, it’s a disgrace this.

Agree7

06 Dec 2025 20:56:25
It’s not like we’ve got loads of depth in defence. Even then, whoever lines up in defence still has to deal with a weak, non existent midfield which also let us down tonight and will be equally as exposed.

Agree1

06 Dec 2025 21:03:27
Dont let common sense get in the way of a Slot moan jordz.

Agree0

06 Dec 2025 21:03:50
Wassa, in fairness, Jones was equally if not more so at fault for their second goal, he let the Leeds player just go past him as if he wasn’t there, which allowed him time and space to shoot.

Agree3

06 Dec 2025 21:14:47
Exactly, Slot isn’t fully to blame for this:-
- Leoni and Gomez were injured so Konate had to play and who knew he would totally fall off a cliff after a half decent season last year. Gomez had to cover right back when back from injury as Bradley and frimpong injured.
- VVD has made a load of errors - what can Slot do, drop him too?
- Salah’s form has dropped off a cliff, slot gave him a chance to rediscover his form, he couldn’t so he’s now been dropped. The guy won us the league last year so he could hardly have been dropped much earlier.
- Isak who everyone wanted us to sign needs to get matches under his belt so Slot needs to play him as he was bought to be the future of this team.
- Diaz wanted to leave, leaving us with Gakpo who did well last season but again his form has dropped off a cliff.

Not much Slot can do but hope by playing him that he gets back into form.
- The defence is set up to defend corners exactly the same as last year with the key men the same and we conceded 9 goals from corners all season so no way Slot could have believed this would happen. Where’s the defensive set piece coach. He should be answering these questions.
- we have more open play xG than all other teams we’ve played except City and maybe Chelsea so although some of the football is slow, we are still creating enough chances to win games from open play.
- our fortune has fallen off a cliff after we had a load of it last season and beginning of this season. We are now definitely in a run of very very bad fortune.

Personally LFC8, I don't think I deserve a statement. I don't think my mates travelling back from Yorkshire will be discussing it either. But, each to their own. Put it in writing and see if you get one. What's your back up plan if one's not forthcoming?

Agree2

06 Dec 2025 20:40:53
I’ll find him in an Ibiza nightclub toilet and give him a piece of my mind Rome.

And I’ll tell him how his Subs ruined the game tonight.
