Ed2 I know that Klopp was a huge fan of Mario Gotze, do you see him maybe as a replacement for Shaqiri?

Believable1 Unbelievable0

{Ed002's Note - Mario Goetze (S/AM) is out of contract in the summer but he has spent a reasonable time playing this season as a CF - even though he is at loggerheads with the club and being a bit of a bitch about a new contract. I would be surprised if Liverpool see him as the way forward. There was a general enquiry from Hertha Berlin which might provide one option for him - else he may want to look at the MLS but his desired location is Italy - but takers are thin on the ground although Roma have spoken directly with the player and Milan see him has an option to others as they look to resolving their FFP issues.}

Takers are thin on the ground because his career has bombed.
basically he scored the winner in the world cup final and then got injured, a lot.
Add to that his reputation for being a troublemaker and I can confidently predict that Mario Goetze will not be joining Liverpool fc now or at any time in the future.
I hope your keeping safe and well Mighty reds.

Does Goetze really have a reputation as a troublemaker? First time I’ve heard that.

{Ed002's Note - He has been a nuisance.}

He still scored the winner in the world cup final. The guy's a legend.

A "legend" is somebody who excelled in there chosen profession over a long period of time.
Who raised the bar and set standards that others became inspired to achieve, who became trailblazers.
German football legends are Gerd Muller, der Kaiser franz beckenbauer, and of course lothar matthaus.
Mario Goetze just happened to score the winner in the world cup final, since then he has failed at Bayern, returned to Dortmund and done diddly squat.
What exactly would he bring to this Liverpool team, apart from his world cup winners medal?

{Ed001's Note - KloppBoom who said Gerrard was not a legend, despite scoring in Champions League final and FA Cup final, but Goetze is for scoring in a World Cup final. Odd how sometimes people make comments that are utterly ridiculous. Goetze is nowhere near a legend unless he happens to be in the room with Beckenbauer etc.}

Ed001: I think the problem is the word legend has been so overused its lost its true meaning.
Just because your lucky enough to score the winning goal in the world cup final does not make you a legend.
On another note great news about King Kenny a true legend.
I also want to thank you and the other Eds for keeping this site going during this most difficult time.
Stay safe, keep well and from all of us posters Thank you.
Take care mate.

{Ed001's Note - you make a good point there. Especially about Dalglish, who is the epitome of a living legend.

And you are very welcome, what else would we do right now? It is saving most of them from later divorce proceedings as they would otherwise have to talk to their other half!}
