Decided to have a look at Jackson Martinez a player mentioned as target for LFC at about 8 mill.
Bent or Martinez?, Martinez for me!

Get in there, he scores with both feet and good in the air and looks physically capable to handle the EPL

How r u embedding video?

Looks like a mix of babel,cisse,and ngog in one ,lol im messin ,dunno bout him the clip wouldnt really tell u much
jeff

Get this lad in RIGHT now !! {Ed005's Note - If you seen Heskey or Voronin on Youtube you'd say the same.}

He looks slow and with a poor touch. Don't understand the hype myself

Red Ollie

Poor first touch and gets too much time on the ball, and thats just from the youtube video
Vik

The second goal was a poor attempt by Martinez - he missed

As i have said before i don't think he is good enough, ill say it again we are Liverpool FC we should be going for the best players not mediocre players. why pay £8m for him when if you double it to £16m you can get Podolski, Sow, De Jong all better players.

BigD

The defending was pretty awful so its hard to judge him. Looks a bit of a poacher 2bh but extremely unsure

He looks like Carroll good in the air,
the only difference I can see is that
this guy can do cartwheels after scoring,
not sure if Andy can do that.

Every goal has come from a mistake from the opposition???
Where is he playing?

Hi Eds,
just a quick question, do you know if we've enquired about anyone over the past week?
Thanks
Dale Boffin {Ed005's Note - There may have been one or two.}

Could you say who?

Ladies and Gentleman! Yet another ambigious reply from the Ed's right there... {Ed005's Note - Not ambigious in the slightest. I'm simply repeating what has been muted by Ed001 and Ed002 for a few days on the boards. Perhaps if people took more time to scroll down and read, or indeed use the search function they would get answers to their questions rather than the same question coming in over and over again.}

Ive heard glen johnson has been in talks with real madrid over a move there and is that confident the move is done he is taking spanish lessons now {Ed005's Note - Hope its true.}

I doubt this as Mourinho sold Glen Johnson when he was at Chelsea {Ed005's Note - True however the Mourinho of Chelsea is a different Mourinho to now in certain ways. Who knows!}

We shoupd swap him and money for higuain what ya think ed {Ed005's Note - As much as I would love for that to happen I can't see it personally.}

He's been taking Spanish lessons for over a year.

Ed why do you hope its true?
Johnson is the best RB in the league! {Ed005's Note - Because he's poor at defending and nowhere near the best RB in the League. His primary aim is to defend and he can't do that. Positionally he is awful. Going forward he is good but he's not a winger, he's a defender. Someone like Enrique on the other hand........}

If only...Kelly much better

Tbh he aint good enough 2 go real madrid...and dnt think madrid will pay so much 4 him as he would be a bench warmer !

Tbh the thing that Glen Johnson gives us is balance he has a good few tricks decent speed and a good cross, Kelly is obviously the better defender bit tbh all he does is run forward delivers an ok cross no skills and he is predominately a Centre Back. Johnsons learning Spanish to communicate with our Spanish contingent {Ed005's Note - At right-back Kelly would also give us balance. You are correct, Kelly is the better defender which is why he should be in there - the primary objective of a defender/right-back is to defend and unfortunatly Johnson doesn't do that. So what if Kelly doesn't have skills? Who gives a damn? What is footie coming to if people maon that a player has no skills. Does Carra, Skrtel have skills? Did Hyypia have skills? Did Finnan even have skills? Johson has a good cross but instead of crossing much of the time he tries to cut in or do something silly whereas Kelly, who can deliver a good ball, just takes the no nonsense approach and whips the ball into the middle. Plus, the fact that Kelly is a centre-back and is puts 110% into playing at right-back shows he will play anywhere for us. Johnson had a clause into his contract to ensure he plays RB only.}

They can have him for £15m or as someone posted above Johnson and £10m for Higuain or Ozil.

Johnson has a clause in his contract to ensure he he playes RB only, is that why he played at left back this season? {Ed001's Note - that was last season.}

If this is about football, Johnson any day of the week for me over Kelly. Johnson is a much better defender than most people think. Our recent good performance in defence have been due to Johnson, Skrtel, Agger and Enrique. Kelly's young has pace and will most likely become a very good CENTRE BACK in the future. But for me, for the modern right back position and ability to play left back as well, Johnson over Kelly any day. England and LFC managers seem to think the same!

But they've got Arbeloa and Ramos who can both play in that position andLass Diarra and Raul Albiol as a cover? Why would they need johnson?

Johnson is class, cant believe some people want rid of a player of his ability! On his day the best rb in the league by far! Kelly is nowhere near his quality yet!

Ed005; how did we get him to play at LB for so many games last season? Is he really that stubborn that he won't play at right wing?

Ryan 'O {Ed001's Note - the difference was that we were desperate, he had a first team right back berth for England tied down (now there is Kyle Walker challenging), and the Euros weren't right around the corner.}

Ed, you think Johnson is poor at defending, so why do managers at the level of Capello, Benitez, Dalglish and (apparently) Mourinho seem happy with playing him at RB? {Ed001's Note - because they like his attacking prowess and play defensive midfielders to cover him.}

I agree with ed001 mourinho prefers attacking back likes ramos marcello and coentrao that can play on the wing too and he plays alonso and khedira as cover fr when the player attacks. Having said that real madrid dont need johnson they have plenty of left and right backs none of which i see leaving

I hadn't thought of it that way Ed001, thanks for the reply mate. Is there any truth that he has to be played in a certain amount of games as well per season (fitness pending..) according to his contract? Would be a real shame if that is part of what's been keeping Kelly from regular playing time this season...

Ryan 'O

The times reporting Newcastle are gonna offer 15mil for Carroll but Liverpool want 25mil, cant see this happening what ye think Eds? {Ed016's Note - I think its a bit of a joke to be honest with you, Kenny has faith in him and I very much doubt he will be moving}

10 Jan 2012 22:37:52
Hi Ed's, do you know anything of the Carroll back to Newcastle story? It's in the times tommorow, who are usually quite reliable. {Ed016's Note - The company's chairman and chief executive is Rupert Murdoch.}

He's tapped into the Donkey's voicemail

Excellent response Ed16.
Red Sox Red Shirts

Lmfao on ED's reply ... Rupert Murdoch ...name is enough :D :D

10 Jan 2012 22:36:04
Tomorow's Times Headline Newcastle to bid £15 mil for Carrol? may this happen ED? {Ed016's Note - NO!}

Carroll is going nowhere, he is a good player who will start to score soon. Everyone who wants him to leave clearly has no idea of talent and the club bought him for 5 years not 1, all he needs is confidence and as soon as he gets it he will be unplayable.

10 Jan 2012 22:15:22
iv heard a whisper that the club are trying to sign a marquee player to promote some positive news for the club, wouldnt give me any names though, but it has still got me buzzin on who it might be!
eds or macca any news on this please?
gaz the red

What wouldn't give you any names?

Rob

Mesut Ozil I have heard from a few separate people that this is on! {Ed016's Note - Anyone who truly knows?}

Who might it be then?

The fella who told me said he didnt have any idea as to who it would be and would not say where it came from but i know he has good friends at the club.
gazthered

Who truly Knows the end outcome ! Negotiations are exactly what they are so sometimes the t's get crossed other times they don't !

Galatasary website is selling shirts with dirk kuyt on rumoured that it is to build up a relationship for arda turan summer transfer also according to an insider at rangers says jelavic is being targeted by valencia possibly a replacement for soldado? We can always hope {Ed016's Note - Not selling Dirk Kuyt shirts}

Did turan not move to Altehico last summer?

JJ

Arda Turan not longer plays for Gala. He was sold to Athletico Madrid in the summer.

LSM

Arda Turan plays for Athletico Madrid

Arda turan transferred to atletico madrid in the summer so i dont know how selling dirk to galatasary would really help us get turan but hey you never know if thats what you think ill leave you with it lol

Just In.....

Hoilett has been offered a new contract by Blackburn Rovers he is likely to decline the offer as he knows the interest from Liverpool is very real. He wants to come to Liverpool and not Spurs.. Liverpools first offer to Blackburn was £5 million which was declined, Blackburn want £8 million for Hoilett and then they will sell.

Slider

Think its spurs he actually fancys mate?

I think you will find it is Liverpool not, Spurs. He is settled in the North West and does not fancy a move to London.
Slider

10 Jan 2012 20:49:53
ed..if dirk is sold this month do you think we will get 2 strikers.who ever kenny wants plus a youngster for the future eg.markovic? i think it could be smart move as he will probs. be alot more expensive in a year or 2. {Ed016's Note - Carroll is for the future. I doubt there will be more than one striker signed}

A bit like jordan ibe

10 Jan 2012 20:35:22
Eds - supposedly an English club is going to offer 42 million for di Maria. If that is man city then do you think a. Johnson will be sold and for how much? {Ed016's Note - I will hop into my delorean and go to the end of the window and let you know, But seriously, if City were to buy another winger, unless Johnson is willing to battle for his spot he will move on, no idea for how much.}

Why would anybody pay that amount for that extremely average cheating player ? then again, cheats thrive in the modern game {Ed016's Note - City seem firmly interested in the player}

Madrid should bite their hands off then , although he is a mourinho type player (win at all costs, no matter by what means) hugely over rated but he is another city target who will become fed up and want to leave , just like tevez

Would love johnson, but he signed a new contract a few months back

How many of these kids even know what a delorean is......well done ed {Ed016's Note - Where I am or should I say When...everyone does}

10 Jan 2012 20:34:04
Any more info on soldado eds? Would love that signing eds?and as for podolski not one for me does not score enough goals , we need an out an out finisher , if we want to step up to the next level {Ed016's Note - No new info, I believe Liverpool have interest in Podolski but nothing other than that, heard nothing new on Soldado}

Podolski is in top 5 in Bundesliga goal scoring.

Yeah. 43 goals in 95 international appearances by the age of 26 is a crap record. So who is the out and out striker you want with vastly better stats?

10 Jan 2012 21:39:27
liverpool looking to loan luc castaignos of inter milan as cover for suarez. {Ed016's Note - Rumours on twitter for the past few days, the poster is seems reliable, but it is twitter. pinch of salt}

Not twitter

Duncan castles reporting it.. Fairly good rep as a source

10 Jan 2012 21:33:33
Nathan Eccleston will go to Huddersfield if the expected transfer merry-go-round of Rhodes to Celtic and Hooper to Liverpool goes ahead.

10 Jan 2012 20:45:54
Hello eds!
Since we have no chance of getting Hazard, do you think Cole will be used as makeweight to strike a deal for Moussa Sow or Payet? Thank you and keep up the good work! {Ed001's Note - it is always possible, they are both targets, certainly Sow seems a very real striker target.}

10 Jan 2012 20:42:59
Guillem Balague latest (it's off the evil twitter)

Soldado is not leaving Valencia this season! Higuain is not leaving Madrid this season either

So...Suarez to Madrid, rubbish! Chelsea offer for Di Maria, same, no way!

Kaka talked to PSG, not Chelsea. But he wants to stay. Madrid would accept 20m euros

10 Jan 2012 20:42:10
According to Guillem Balague...

Suarez is not leaving for Real Madrid.

Soldado will be staying at Valenica for this season.

Finally, Higuain will be staying at Real Madrid for this season, too.

He is really reliable so forget about Higuain/Soldado coming to LFC in this window. Who knows about summer.

SLURed

He has no connections at real Madrid. Has at barca but not madrid. Look at ed's comment a few posts down {Ed001's Note - he has some, his main source for years was Rafa.}

When have we ever heard anything brilliant from balague like seriously or maybe who's to blame him when we can't even buy a 'big name' !!

10 Jan 2012 21:03:31
Bid for Di Maria is from Liverpool FACT

You talk garbage , FACT

Di marias injurec hes a diver and has a nin-existent pain threshold this coming from an lfc and real madrid fan .... {Ed016's Note - work on spelling, I'm not correcting anymore}

U talk donkeys arse FACT

Jus because you spell FACT in capitals, doesnt make it fact.

Carb

10 Jan 2012 21:16:55
Cahill to Chelsea done (via Chelsea TV) believed to be in the region of £7m, another one for you lot to stop pestering the ed/s about lol

Pestering? with a central defence of cahill and Luiz I would be seriously worried if I were you, one can't defend and the other doesn't know how to...........

10 Jan 2012 21:07:07
I don't think Suarez is going to Real Madrid, he has stated previously that he would like to play for Barcelona. Also heard that his agent is Pep Guardiola's brother, not happy with that.
Finisher

10 Jan 2012 20:26:06
Guilleme Ballague, not the nicest bloke going from what I've heard but usually reliable eds?? Well he has just said Suarez to Madrid is 'rubbish'

CH {Ed001's Note - reliable? He can be. I wouldn't trust him on Madrid though, being as he is from Barcelona and is not likely to be very trusted there. He does have some close ties with people like Rafa, but a lot of his stuff is opinion, as with most stories. He is certainly not in with the Madrid hierachy.}

If i remember correct, he was known for breaking out first Ronaldo's move to Madrid
miccmak {Ed001's Note - he was known for being Rafa's mouthpiece mostly I thought.}

He is from Barca but I remember him stating that it is RCD Espanyol de Barcelona or just Espanyol that he supports {Ed001's Note - yes it is, but that makes little difference, there is a big divide between areas there. Catalans, Andalucians see themselves as independent of Madrid.}

10 Jan 2012 19:26:27
hi guys, just got a bit of info to catch you up on, demba ba has got a contract realease clause but its more than we all think and would beleive, podolski is a second choice striker if we dont get our first we will go for him, rumours on the first have been flying about but no ones knows right now, king kenny and comoli will know their targets. Their has been debating around anfield over Huddersfield wounderkid Rhodes could be a option but not guarenteed. The usual rumours about nico krankjar and free kick master honda from cska. talks are continuing with aston villa, but about 2 players, theirs are 3 in contention but no bodys got any ideas who, its either darren bent, mark albrighton or stylian petrov whos been a target for a long time for a replacement. just some info ive been given. cheers

"king kenny and comoli will know their targets"

your word mate

Demba release clause in contract is £5million. The problem is the players knee, at newcastle the player has to play in order to get paid. Most of his bonus payment make up his wages.

He is happy being at Newcastle, but would be willing to move if he got the right contract. But i dont think any club would be willing to give him the type of contract he is looking for. eg £100,000 a week for 5 years basic.

He is 27 with a bad knee. This may be his best year in football he isn't going to get any better.

Bad has a realease clause of 5-7 mill

Albrighton & bent won't leave villa. petrov is their captain too.. probably heskey ;)

Stilian petrov WTF

10 Jan 2012 19:21:37
Liverpool have reportedly moved to allay their goal scoring woes with a loan move for Inter Milan striker Luc Castaignos - a transfer target for Everton.

10 Jan 2012 19:04:29
Hi eds ihave been reading on the internet that suarez could possibly be leaving to real madrid is this true??
Thnx george
YNWA {Ed001's Note - they are interested, but right now nothing has progressed with any deal.}

Guileme Ballague has stated on revista de la liga tonight that there is no chance of Suarez to Real Madrid.

There will be all kinds of rumours about Suarez leaving. I can't see Liverpool letting him go, or Suarez wanting to leave. If he does leave it will be for a lot more than 30 million being touted on the net.

4 years left on his contract i would tell Madrid to pay a s**tload more then that!!

10 Jan 2012 19:26:30
There have been some rumors about possible moves from Ozil or Kaka. I know it sounds very far fetched but Mourinho told Ozil that he has to be better if he wants to stay in the team, causing LFC to monitor the situation. I read about the Kaka rumor on another website and, as far fetched as it sounds, i believe that we would have a chance. He rarely gets a game for Real now and i can imagine him maybe wanting to play in the UK. A 30million pound offer would be the starting price though so i am not sure if he is really worth it anymore.
Other interests include:
Podolski
Kalou
Alonso
Torres
Higuain
Eden Hazard (although Man City will probably out bid us for about 50 million or something stupid)

I'm bloody sure that £30 mill for a guy who never starts for his own tean would be INSANE!

Iker casillas posted a picture of him and kaka n his facebook saying Kaka told him himself that he is staying it was only last week check it yourself if you dont believe me. On the subject ozil its true Mourinho told him to turn things around and to an extent he has. He was one of the "supersubs" against Malaga and turned the game around for madrid and had the 3 assists for their match on sunday. Mourinho hailed his performance in the copa del rey against malaga so id say hes back in to be honest
Sophie

You forgot about our other targets

Hulk
Messi
Ronaldo
Neymar
and the rest of them

LFCHero :)!

I would pick ozil because I think ozil is better suited to play in the premier league than kaka but can't see either happening

10 Jan 2012 18:08:19
LFC

Liverpool looking at bringing Kalou in for 3m.

Only 6 months left on current contract.

Good addition eds? {Ed001's Note - nope.}

Talksport is rubbish dont believe anything on there

Kalou is not worth 3 million

Dont think Liverpool should buy Kalou. not good enough.

Why would we get some one that is going to be in africa cup and not be abble to play when saurez is out as well dont make sence to me

Think about his wages

He was brought for £21m and now is worth just a seventh lol

Not good enough!!

I believe he would be a great signing,3 million a bargain.kuyt will be off soon and so will maxi and kalou is a far better player than both and i think he would surprise a lot of people.

10 Jan 2012 17:48:12
Ed do you think there is any truth in the Corgnet stories? Never seen him play, fp you know if he is any good?

{Ed001's Note - there is an element of truth, we have had him scouted, we have made some discreet enquiries, but I believe that is as far as it has gone so far. As for his ability, I don't know, I haven't seen him play.}

10 Jan 2012 17:42:33
Ed is the rumour of Gala offering £10 mill for Kuyt true?, I think we should sell him as Kuyt is struggling to hold down a place in the starting XI and at times seems like he doesn't quite fit in with the quick, fluid brand of football Dalglish has been trying to introduce this season. It's either Kuyt or Bellamy for !st team in my opinion and Bellamy is winning hands down

MJ {Ed001's Note - they are certainly interested, but I have no idea if they have bid or if it is just speculation because they are interested.}

10 million - snap their hands off I say!!!

Do u think kuyt looks on the internet to see whats going on. lol

Kuyt is great for us he should be in the starting 11 every week!

10 Jan 2012 17:07:07
Ed any news on interest in Lazar Marcovic who plays for Partisan Belgrade?. The Dail Mail says a deal may be close for arround £8m. This guy has searing pace, a very good touch and picks a great pass. Reality Red {Ed001's Note - I haven't heard anything regarding him, sorry.}

I would hope so looks very good from the little i seen

A lot of talk flying around about this lad. He looks like he's got the potential to be quality. Very quick, good finisher and looks to have a good 'footballing brain.' However, he's only 17 and whilst he's experienced in the Serbian league, he's perhaps a few years away from being ready. It's a lot to pay for a lad his age. Having said that, you pay for potential and if we were to sign him I'd be pleased, given what I've seen of the lad. Maybe a few years on loan would benefit him, if we're to get him.

10 Jan 2012 17:29:52
Hi Eds is podolski a serious interest and if so how much would he cost thanks ryang9898 {Ed001's Note - yes, no idea sorry, not sure why it matters to be honest, he would not be ridiculous money and that is all that really matters.}

How serious is our interest Ed mate. Have we put in a bid for him, are we talking to his club and reps etc...

Thanks

Blair Mayne YNWA JFT96 {Ed001's Note - we have checked on his interest in joining, he would be interested in a move to England, he would consider Liverpool. That, as far as I am aware, is how far it has got, for now anyway.}

He would cost no more than £16m(buyout clause apparently), if the interest is serious than hopefully we will make an acceptable offer and get him on board asap.

Well, isn't he staying put now? The other day you said he looked likely to stay where he is. Would we be able to tempt him away? Sorry I know you can't really answer that question but just wondering.
cheers,
KiwiRed

Sounds hopeful.. seems to be a player who more or less all Liverpool fans would like to see.. Keep us updated eds!

Would love to see Podolski at Liverpool - would be a great signing!

Can you see us making an offer for him Ed, Im getting a bit excited with the prospect of him coming.

Thanks
Burnsy {Ed001's Note - hard to say, we enquire about loads of players, very few bids go in though. I hope we go for him, but I am not getting my hopes up.}

Ed001 has our interest increased recently in podolski as before you were saying we were just watching him and now it is serious interest? {Ed001's Note - just been a bit of sounding out going on, hence the paper talk and the quotes etc.}

He would defo add somethin to our team and for 8-10mil for a player with his ability and experience would be a crackin deal!!

10 Jan 2012 17:17:11
Sources in Southern Germany have claimed that Liverpool are looking to start possible talks with Germany international and current FC Cologne forward Lukas Podolski regarding a £15m move.

It is believed the player is ready to have talks with the Merseyside club despite it being recently suggested that he was looking to sign an extension at the Bundesliga club over Christmas. Podolski only rejoined Cologne in 2009 after what could be argued were unsuccessful years at Bayern Munich between 2006 and 2009.

The player had been linked with a move to the Premiership last summer after he yet again made some very impressive performances at the World cup in South Africa the previous year however at the time it was the likes of Chelsea and Manchester United that were heavily linked and not the Merseyside giants.

Should Podolski really be considering a move to the Premier League it would certainly be interesting to discover which of the sides he would be looking to join. Have played without Champions League football for the last two seasons it would seem natural that he may not be fussed whether to be in the competition for the remainder of this year meaning Liverpool could be the main side to snap him up, meanwhile Podolski would fit into most top four side's with ease, able to play as a striker or winger.

HE WOULD BE A GOOD ADDITION!!

Every german whose played for us has been excellent . this lads top draw . would certainly welcome him

Karl heinze riedler , babbel , ziege , hamann . every german weve had has been world class as above shows . podolski fits this catergory .

alan waddle

Please buy him!!

-=ynwa=-

14 goals in 16 apps in the german league this season isnt a bad stat

How many goals has he in the last 5 years NOT GOOD ENOUGH

Sorry Alan waddle but i wouldn't have called karl heinze or Ziege world clas when they played for us, they barely made average for us

Apparently, the advert for our new strip is being filmed now, and features Vinnie Jones (Warrior, obviously).

Friend of a friend involved says the strip is amazing.

Noooo! what's the opposite of the midas touch? Cos that's what Vinny Jones has these days. Everything he touches turns to s**t.

Any pics of videos ?

As long as its not blue and white like that horrible away jersey we have this season

Why Vinnie Jones!?

Vinnie jones? As in vinnie who played against us in that FA cup final? Get a grip, how far have we fallen since then.

And Vinnie Jones' connection with Liverpool is......?

Not sure how true this is, but he has had a few cameos in some big films so maybe from an American point of view it would be good to use as some sort of marketing tool.

What connection has Lebron James got to lfc? {Ed016's Note - minor share holder}

10 Jan 2012 16:56:15
I have just heard today that it is highly likely that LFC will not sign anybody in this january transfer window. Dalglish and the coaching staff believe we may need a striker but there is no value in January and they believe that if they give Carroll a run in the team and show faith in him he will score goals. However expect a busy summer with a few ins and more outs.
DCG

It amazes me how many people are saying there is no value in January. Last January we signed Suarez, was he not good value?

A striker will be signed to replace Suarez who realistically wont be able to play football in England for much longer. Real Madrid his most likely destination and Lukas Podolski his likely replacement.

I think this is true. The only problem is the current squad will not take us into Champions League. I have a strong feeling that the club does not see this as a priority

I have to agree, i'm not sure if we will make a purchase in Jan, maybe a loan is more likely.

They said Cantona couldnt stay after flying kicking a fan, but he did, Suarez will stay as long as he wants it'll all be forgot the next big scandal that comes along.

Also we bought, Agger, Suarez, Skrtel, Maxi in January so there is value to be had.

I personally dont believe Suarez is going anywhere. Yes it was wrong and at the moment the press are having a field day, however John Terry will surely go to prison if he is found guilty by the CPS and if that happens all the Saurez stories will be old news. He has and will remain in my opinion the best premiership import of the last 12 months and he will come good again. Have faith people !!

the person who didn't find any news about jakson martinez can see it today's fox sports too. and he is not maxican he is Colombian. City Arsenal have scout him from last year. porto and sporting have enquary too. and Liverpool have talk with his agent. see some highlight in youtube he look good finisher. I know many will say you tube not trusted. but if he is a hero in europian club then sure any team will pay £30m to have him. there is always a bit risk in new talent. asking price is £8.5m.

What I was saying was that there is nothing in either newspapers, South American or Mexican. Mexico is the Country he plays in so i looked there too. So when you said South American papers are reporting this story i checked and there is nothing. Foxsportasia is not south america it is Asia. Hence the name.

Your spelling is woeful.

Suarez is ready to sign a contract extention.

Suarez is a top class player. He is our best signing yet!

Dont see him signing an extension as hes still got 4 years left of his current1. wud love him to extend it tho dont get me wrong

The timing would be horrendous.

H.M

Rubbish...why would he or the club agree to a new contract at this delicate and testing time...his liverpool future, or lack thereof, will be determined by how well he can deal with matters facing him on the pitch and from the stands once he returns from suspension. He is in for a hostile reception everywhere he goes

All I know is that he is very close to signing a deal. I could be he wants to stay, which I am lead to believe or for all parties to get a better deal if he is sold

Why would he do that when he still has 4 and a half years on the one he has got!

Complete and utter rubbish. Maybe in two years time but not now.

I remember when Torres signed a contract extension when he still had four years left on his contract.

Eds,

Do you think this Luc Castaignos would be a good addition to the squad if he did come? And also any truth in us being in for Podolski and Hoilett?

Matt from SA {Ed001's Note - yes I do think he looks a good player. We are defo interested in Podolski, not sure about Hoilett.}

GHANA Under-20 International Mumuni Abubakar is set to arrive in Liverpool this week for a two-week trial with the Reds.

The 18-year-old midfielder was spotted by Liverpool scouts in Italy while playing for New Edubiase United in a friendly against Parma last November.

It has now been confirmed that Abubakar, who was voted the Sport Writers Association's Ghana Premier League Player of the Year for 2011, will be on trial from this week.

Fifa agent Oliver Arthur said: "Liverpool will assess him for 10 days and then take a decision, but I'm confident he's not coming back to Ghana." just seen this said id post it

I don't know, but I must say I read this story long time ago. Can't stand, how truth is that. But this is certainly a story that was released much ago, than today. :)

Youve just pulled this off LFC transfer speculations {Ed001's Note - it was on Ghanaweb prior to that.}

10 Jan 2012 15:58:53
these true eds?

1) Liverpool have joined the race for Dijon midfielder Benjamin Corgnet, according to French sports daily L'Equipe.

2) Liverpool have reportedly moved to allay their goal scoring woes with a loan move for Inter Milan striker Luc Castaignos - a transfer target for Everton.

{Ed001's Note - there is interest in Corgnet, but I have no idea regarding Castaignos sorry.}

Its a rumour about the inter forward its on all the rumour sites

Bugger if he's a target for the Bitters we better move fast because they've SO much cash to splash on quality players!

10 Jan 2012 15:31:54
Ed is it true that El.Shaarawy has went to köln on loan and if he hasn't do we have any interest in him. I used the search function but nothing came up.

Cheers, Zincho {Ed001's Note - he certainly hasn't joined them yet, his agent didn't even know they were interested, just goal making up their usual nonsense. As far as I am aware we have no interest in him.}

He would be a wise buy as he fits in with nesv policy and is a tricky player

10 Jan 2012 15:29:52
Paul Kelso of the Telegraph has just said that he believes Suraez, Evra and Dalglish could all be approached to appear before the Culture, Media and Sport select committee.

Red Heart

For what now

Would not surprise me. Overkill on race relations prior to hosting the Olympics seems like a politically driven process to better the Governments image

hi eds do u think torres would cum back or be welcome back would he be a good partner for suarez up front and have you heard anything about luc castaignos thanks nigel from ireland {Ed001's Note - please stop asking about Torres! He is not coming back, he burnt his bridges on his way out the door. I have not heard anything about Castaignos, sorry.}

Torres left a year ago, do you really think chelsea fans spend this much time speaking about ex players. Get over it and move on !

I think Torres will probably have an element of regret leaving Liverpool but it is what it is and there's no coming back
KK will be bring in at least 2 but possibly 3 new faces this window but who they will be is anyone's guess
I look forward to reading the comments on this site but hate the bulls**t posts
I'm sure there will be some news towards the end of this week and look forward to seeing who's coming in
Fernado Torres will not be coming back, and even if he wanted to, you think they would pay a fee and take him back after what he said when he left ? Me thinks not

Forget Fernando Torres. Traitor.

Kompany's red card upheld banned for 4 games with immediate affect
James

Does that mean not Kolo, Yaya, Vincent for tmrws game??

Good for us playing against them but yet another truly shocking 'independent' decision
Milamber

Glad to hear it, he should have seen red against us, these things usually catch up !

Defo gone for 4matches there is no way that they could have overturned this red card there is enough double standards going on liverpool can now look foward to facing a nan city team with there back bone gone ie toure kompany cum on the reds

It can not be an independent panel when straight after the game old red nose is saying that Kompany "has done this before" The man rules the FA, it`s beyond the pale.

I was the first the other nite when suarez wasnt playing to say we were going to lose but now il be the first to say we will win at city no kompany ,yaya .bolateli,kolo etc great chance to win not draw win

Kompany will miss two league games, and that's all that matters to Fergie and his accomplices in the F.A. Man Utd will win the league. They have so much influence over officialdom they don't even to need to have a good team.

Kav

I'm made up. He blocked everything that came into their box on the deck or in the air when we played them last week. Man of the match by a mile and probably the most consistent defender in the league. Big Andy will have a field day tomorrow night with Kompany and Toure missing.

Im not surprised after all FA does stand for "Fergie's Administration".

Kompany now misses both legs,with no toure brothers, ballotelli and djecko this must be our chance to win the first bit silverware and if we get 4th then it will be a sucessful season for us reds YNWA

mr brown

Im not surprised after all FA does stand for "Fergie's Administration".

Pure genius

The fact of the matter remains that their team is still stronger than ours. We were not so long ago as branded as a 'cup team', if that still applies and we treat this like one of our famous European nights and get a draw at The Etihad then follow that up with a magical night at Anfield we should go through. Fingers crossed.

Its a shame, some people might think we're being jokey with these comments. But its clear that this is all a form of corruption. Look how Ferguson and his players bully refs and authorities. Look how Luis was fitted up by the "panel" and press. Look at the lies. Look at Rooney abusing a ref 67! times in one match( So much for the respect campaign). BTW this was what a ref said in a large article in the Daily Mail, I wasnt exaggerating.

The FA talks about FIFA corruption. What about their own house? Time there was a disbanding of the FA and charges brought against the perpetrators.

alright eds any news on colocinni and kalou?

p.s would also like to say the spear report is 100% telling the truth. hes the one to follow in terms of finding out the correct info given. {Ed001's Note - how do you know he is correct? Has anything he typed come true yet? No news on either and no interest in either.}

Don`t worry eds I can answer this one Colocinni plays for Newcastle and Kalou plays for Chelsea I hope that clears that one up. Anything more you need to know please do not be afraid to ask. {Ed001's Note - thanks for that mate.}

Ed is this the same guy who brings us the invaluable 'spear report'? suppose it could be an equally sad friend of his. or is it Jay himself i wonder lol

Alright ed, have you even read what the spear report has said? he clearly states that liverpool only have an interest and doesnt go on to say that liverpool have put a bid in for x y and z. the sarcasm on this site is a disgrace. its funny ed how you only sit on the fence with transfers and dont say whats really going on. {Ed001's Note - so what you are saying is that no, nothing he has said has come true yet? Yes, I just sit on the fence, just like I did in the summer when I was the only one saying Adam was going for his medical that day while everyone else was saying no, just because he posted on Twitter he was sat at home watching TV. I was proven right. Just like I was on Bellamy and his massive pay cut etc, and Nasri's City move. No one is always right and I have got some wrong, but Spear Report has got nothing right at all yet, so anyone saying he is bang on the money is wrong, until such time as he gets something right.}

Its blatantly the same lad posting without his daft title. Pathetic.

Yeah i do remember that about adam and yes ill give you that you where right. maybe i judged you abit to quick but its only quick judgements that happen on this site.

the spear report has said,

INTEREST in holitett which is a fact and he said reports of liverpool putting a 6 mill bid in where a load of crap, so surely that one statement he got right?

he said theres interest in luuk de jong as YOU have claimed and he said luuk de jong will only move in the summer. so obv said more things but we will just have to watch and sit back. {Ed001's Note - so what you are saying is that he has repeated what has already been said? Is that really counting as being right? You need more than that, only time will tell on that, but until the window shuts we won't know any more.}

This is the same guy who writes that stupid report. Get a life mate seriously or more importantly some counseling

Its not the same lad

Oh yes it is. The same pathetic lad.

Ed I wouldnt of even entertained this chaps comments with a reply he sounds a bit like he doesn't understand how rumours work. Or as the last guy put it it may very well be jay himself ha.

the javelin report(see what I did there I'm so funny)

No its not. this has been liked by 2 people. oh well maybe he has 2 computers to click on the like button also. to the lad above you are a freak.

10 Jan 2012 13:30:59
afternoon ED`S.

any truth in Kuyt bid from Galatasary?

personally, i can imagine 1 out 1 in only this window.

Keep up the work ED`S soon be feb ;0)
PIDDY. {Ed001's Note - he is of interest to them yes, they would like him and have enquired.}

Ed can u see us letting him go ? {Ed001's Note - yes, if the right offer comes in he will be allowed to leave.}

Hope this is the right offer. Dirk has been great for the club but is past his best and I think needs a new challenge.

Dirk is a good honest player who gives 100% but in fairness, he was always fairly limited even at his peak under Benitez. I agree its time for him to move on now

Great. Turan goes and we sell them Kuyt a year late...

10 Jan 2012 13:27:11
Just a few pointers from Arsenal (annoying the only place I ever get any decent news from!) that come via an ex agent.

Walcott - He's not moving BUT his agent is trying to wangle an improved deal...therefore a few rumours have 'slipped' out in order to push things on.

Arshavin - He is on the way out, but not to LFC. Russia is his most likely destination at the moment.

Thats all I have - pretty weak I know, but hey!

LeTrench

Arshavin will most probably go to anzhi makhachkala.

Then put them on the Arsenal rumour page not Liverpool's

They have both been linked to liverpool from and by various posters on this site hence the reason there on here.....some people need to relax before they post

10 Jan 2012 13:11:55
hi eds,

not a rumour just wondering if there are ANY transfers in or out that are anywhere near completion?

cheers richy p {Ed001's Note - only really Cahill to Chelsea, that I know of.}

10 Jan 2012 12:14:00
It was reported this morning that comoli is planning to bid for chelsea outcast kalou. The 26yrs ivorian international was reported to be in talk with arsenal yesterday. But comoli is eager to hijack the £3mln bid from arsenal. Can this ivorian be a good idea?

I know most people on here aren't fans but I'd bite Chelsea's hand off for Kalou at 3million. He's certainly got ability, hes scored some great goals before, he's fast, direct and has a goal threat. At 3m he definitely represents value, and I know who I'd rather have as an impact sub out of him and Kuyt

Red Ollie

Hope this is true. while alot of people dislike Kalou, he has bags of premiership ability and would improve our squad while at the same time being able to do a good job for us. I honestlt think with kenny as his manager and instilling confidence in him he can improve once more. Not only that but his age and price fit in with what we are trying to do.

Taffytel

Ivorian? Is that the correct term?

Just interested

Yes, Ivorian is the correct term.

Please god no !

Just for arguments sake, let's say the original poster is completely correct. I doubt it as we have had no confirmation from the ED's but just for the sake of it... At 3m he'd be worth it, not starting XI quality but hey, better back up than what we have as the first two posters have said.

10 Jan 2012 12:10:25
Any interest from Liverpool in Salomon Kalou read that we were interested with Arsenal {Ed002's Note - None that Chelsea are aware of. There have been discussions with Arsenal and Hoffenheim.}

10 Jan 2012 11:42:12
Suarez is being tracked by Arsenal and Real... they intend to bid 25 mil, some sort of clause in his contract.... you heard it here first.

Its Suarez from anderlect...

Did you just have an early lunch in the pub
red-raj

And he's been replaced by messi.

Its matias ( spelling ) suarez not our suarez

Hear Leeds are after him also

Oh yeah the mystery clause that everyone knows all about.Our negotiators are so stupid we included a clause in his contract that said he could be bought for the same amount we paid for him!

I hear it first here and hope thats the last. Suarez will never join another English club. and Arsenal don't have £50m to Bid. Real may yah but £25m they can have a Jersey of Suarez with signed by him .

Real yes

Santa clause maybe? ha

He'd go to Real.

As a non Liverpool fan, I was drawn to this rumour - however if a bid came in from Madrid, I'm affraid he would leave. 30mil would see him go and Bent replacing him. Sorry, but it is fact. Same goes for Manc, if they want a player, they get said player.

Guy above has no idea what he's talking about. There's more to a transfer than just the original bid for a start. Also, there is no interest in Bent. If there was, the ED's would know about it. Original poster is also wrong in mentioning a release clause at £25m, no team would set one at that close to what they paid. Unless I am missing something, but it seems like common sense to me.

10 Jan 2012 11:12:33
Ed's with a change of manager at FC Twente do you see this possibly hampering any likely transfers at the club? Although De Jong appeared to be our main target there, I personally would like us to get his team mate Leroy Fer, allowing Henderson to play higher up the pitch and Gerrard on the right.
Kuyt can always play up front, people forget his goal scoring record as a striker in Holland is at least as good as and probably better than the players we are getting linked with.
RNred
{Ed002's Note - I don't see any real change just yet. The interest in De Jong remains as we understand matters.}

I read that it was agreed with Mclaren that if he took the Twente job they would not sell de Jong. Bad news for us. With regard to Dirk Kuyt, surely you can see that he is on the wane, been poor this season. He has been a credit to the club but I think those days are over and it is time for him to move on.

Kuyt has been a great player for us but he is sadly on the decline now, it has been a long time since his days in Holland, we need a quality striker to play alongside Suarez and Carroll so that they can be alternated up front

10 Jan 2012 11:05:27
Hi ed, I just used the search function regarding Podolski and you mentioned he is injured, is that a long term injury?

Corkpoolred {Ed002's Note - No, he is expected to be back towards the end of the month.}

Cool, thanks ED!

Corkpoolred

Podolski's goal scoring record is rubbish. Look him up on Wikipedia. He's average at best. We need a striker who is prolific in front of goal not some big name who's overrated. Cavani would be a good choice. We should be trying to buy him.

Yes, but in a realistic world Cavani is affordable right now.

Corkpoolred

Poldi will be back soon - he's got an ankle injury but is back in training (but only bicycle and running).
I would love to see Poldolski in our team, he would be a good addition and i think he would be first choice.
He had his best games always for Germany and not in Club football, since he moved to Bayern.
Don't forget that he can play also as a winger...

10 Jan 2012 10:57:47
Is podolski coming, getting mixed messages!

Heard that Liverpool are after Arsenal's Morrocan international Chamakh. KK thinks he would get the best out of him and likes the fact that he is good in the air, and best of all he would be a bargain. After failing on a bid for Arshavin, KK is determined to get his man.

Hell no.. His work rate is very bad..
"Good in the air"? What about Carroll, isn't he better than Chamakh?

Chamakh chose Arsenal over us a couple of years ago...thank God!

dmedly

Asharvin would be a good addition. He needs a change/new challenge and is a quality footballer. Can play either side of or just behind striker. Shamak is average at best

What planet are u from

Shut up. The last thing LFC need is another flop.

No I think thats a good shout they would improve you lot immensely

Pardoe

Carol is also good in the air, and it counts for nothing if we cant cross a ball and beat the first defender,

WB

I'd rather have herbies

Remember that summer/spring we were all screaming for Chamakh and Jovanovic haha!

Lol. troublemaker.

BJH YNWA

After Arsenal's last league game I listened to 606 on radio5 and heard loads of gunners moaning about how bad this guy is and you want us to buy him?

We don't want the collapsable deck chair!

LOL Chamakh...
1) Liverpool were interested on him when rafa was in charge but he moved to Arsenal
2) thank god he did, do you see how lazy this guy is?? after his 1 st game he just doesnt put any effort in and is exactly like carrol (while carrol cost us 35 mill...) he some decent link up's but apart from that he is cr@p, just a oily headed player.

10 Jan 2012 10:51:04
Have Liverpool got any interest at all in podolski or tiote both would be great additions to the team :) and are we likely to make a bid in January :)

10 Jan 2012 10:25:33
Liverpool have 2 Regular striker. Suarez and Carroll. now you can say Bellamy and Kuyt also there but with respect they are more used in winger rather then striker. so Podolsky will not lost his place in the team.

Roman-Red {Ed002's Note - Seemingly Podolski agrees with me on this as he has also stated the same now.}

Podolski would not lose his place in the team. If he signs and is on the bench while Carroll starts then that would be incompetence on the part of our management. Podolski would walk right into the first XI. We would hopefully play a front 3 with Bellamy/Suarez/Podolski. {Ed002's Note - So all you need now is Liverpool to show an interest, make a bid that is acceptable, persuade Podolski that he will be first choice, have him pass a medical and sign him.}

What do you mean Ed?! that podolski has said he wants to join us?!?!? {Ed002's Note - No, he has said he will not compromise his chances of playing in the EUROs by moving to a club where he is not first choice.}

Easy peasy then

Suarez still have to finish 6 match ban. and Carroll not in Form so why a striker like PODOLOSKY who is in Form will lost his place ?

10 Jan 2012 09:57:04
Any interest in Markovic? {Ed002's Note - None that I am aware of, perhaps when he is older.}

Have Liverpool made a bid on shaqiri {Ed002's Note - No.}

Lets wait another 2 years and pay 30m for him. we really should be signing these talented young players.

10 Jan 2012 09:58:07
Steven Pienaar moving to Liverpool in January

I would doubt this story myself.
Not that Pienaar is a bad player, he would not suit "Liverpool Way" of playing..

Hope not, he's sh*te

Silly rumour, why would we care if Pienaar buys a house in Merseyside.

Not good enough and overpriced when the Bitters sold him so certainly not good enough now.I'm sure the Ginger Whinger at the Peoples Club would like him back on loan till the end of the season but we won't pay for him!

Would be more sensible to bring Joe Cole back!

10 Jan 2012 09:55:45
Liverpool are interested in loaning striker Luc Castaignos from Inter Milan. Then to buy him at the end of the season if spell is successful.

10 Jan 2012 09:15:38
Ed i have heard strong rumours that Podolski will be joining liverpool soon.. whats ur thought? are we seriousluy interested? As u have mentioned that he will not risk his career joining a club without starting place...but its obvious that liverpool needs a striker..irrelevant of suarez returning...so its gonna be a good choice for him to join us...
Ed and whats teh situation with DM..are we seriously watching someone in this window??

{Ed002's Note - My view remains unchanged. If Liverpool do buy Podolski he would be a great addition to the team.}

10 Jan 2012 09:02:06
Jackson Martinez name is in news paper all over in South america. and in UK too. £8.5m the price tag. the news paper even claim that we have hold talk with his agent and deal is almost done .

Roman -Red

Hey Eds.. Do u know if this guy "Jackson Martinez" is good enough to play for Liverpool? {Ed002's Note - I really cannot answer that, sorry. I know little of him aside from interest from Porto and Sporting as well as Liverpool.}

Hopefully not, im a mexican red and he is s**t

Thanks Ed002..
Great work on the site..

And Porto and sporting do have a good eye for talents. so maybe he got some :)

How'd you find that out? Im looking on South American newspapers and there is nothing. Not to mention there is nothing in the Mexican newspapers were he plays his club football.

Which newspaper u looking for name me some please ? I have post link but may be Ed not accept it.

Roman-Red

Jackson Martinez isn't a bad player at all I used to watch him play in the Colombian league for deportivo
Independiente medellin. Def ha the ability to get much better... You guys remember asprilla from new castle in the 90s? Well this guy Jackson is in the exact mold....

Koln have loaned Al sharawy from Ac milan until the summer, maybe he is the replacement for lukas podoski until they find the real replacement in the summer. ?? maybe he is on the way out of koln now. Staale solbak, did say too the paper that they had too find af replacement before they would let go of podolski. :)

10 Jan 2012 08:06:47
I heard that Benjamin Corgnet is now decent bet to come to Liverpool from Dijon after Newcastle had a rejected bid. Any truth in this? And also I don't really know much about him so could you fill me in? {Ed002's Note - Manchester United, Liverpool and Aston Villa have apparently had folks watch Dijon's Corgnet recently but Newcastle are the only player I know to have been interested.}

Podolski in Melwood. It seems the rumours are true. Just cant wait for Liverpool to call press confrence. It seems everything done quitely. Thats the way Commoli. YNWA

And koln have found the replacement till the summer window in al sharrawy from ac milan. so hope its true..

Eds...any comment? {Ed002's Note - He is injured and being treated in Germany.}

Al Sharawy is podolski replacement until the summer. done deal yesteday. between ac milan and koln. so maybe its true. hope so..

Is this true Eds or Macca? {Ed002's Note - I very, very much doubt it. He is out injured at the moment.}

How do you know that?

Why write this s!-t it really pi$$3$ me off. If you think people are going to buy it your as sad as the dribble of lies you have just written. And saves us the YNWA crap, your no liverpool fan. If you were you wouldnt waste everybodys time with this bs!
Ozred

Re: the post above me...It's a rumours site, calm down. Who are you to claim he's not a Liverpool fan?! Idiot.

Im sick of people who make up so called 'rumours' (lies), which they cannot back up. Podolski is not at melwood. And in the same breath when they then say YNWA, its very annoying.
Ozred

Ozred, you probably believed it to be true yourself until you the read the EDs comments, so calm your passions. As previosuly stated in bold capital letters at the top it says LIVERPOOL RUMOURS, its not like the bloke said Pele is coming out of retirement and is gonna play up top with Sean Dundee!! Its rumours thats why we all look at the site and it gives us a bit of excitement for the day thinking who King Kenny may sign!! So I can confidently say YNWA

Have they built a hotel and restaurant at Melwood? the must need one judging by the number of high profile and expensive players crammed in there waiting to sign for us!

Pele and Sean Dundee upfront - awesome.
forget Podolski, i cant wait for those two to start!

Yeah.I can imagine Sean Dundee,being marked ready for a corner,whispering into the defenders ear.''That's not a knife,this is a knife.'' I'm sure it would scare the oposition into submission!

A word of advice lads. Anytime you see rumours that has not been signed off, just take it as made up bulls**t.

I am related to Nathan Eccleston and he has been offered to Huddersfield as part of a deal to bring Jordan Rhodes to Anfield. Nathan has played there before and would be open to returning but wants a permanent rather than loan move. I'll post again if any developments. M.E.

Would make sense so it could actually be a real rumour for once

BigD

I spoke to 1 of his old coaches acouple of years ago and he said that nathan would move in a few years if he never got close to making the 1st team

What a load of tosh town don't want to sell. Plus if your related to him he would have told you when he came to town he was gash got sent off on his debut and got sent back early coz of injury and poor form.

Part of this rumour is true - Nathan Eccleston will go to Huddersfield if the expected transfer merry-go-round of Rhodes to Celtic and Hooper to Liverpool goes ahead

You'll see that none of that will happen muppet

Here's one I saw online - at least it has a quote with it. Sounds interesting - does anyone know more about this player?

Ghana youth midfielder Mumuni Abubakar is set for a two-week trial with Liverpool according to GHANAsoccernet.com.

The 18-year-old was recently voted the Sport Writers Association's Ghana Premier League Player of the Year for 2011, and is tipped for a bright future in the game.

Abubakar caught the eye of Liverpool scouts playing for Ghana's U20 side in Italy back in November, and Reds boss Kenny Dalglish is keen to take a closer look at the African ace, inviting him to spend some time at Anfield.

Despite his tender age, Abubakar already captains his current side New Edubiase United, and will be looking to earn himself a move to the Barclays Premier League before the close of the transfer window.

"Liverpool will assess him for ten days and then take a decision but I'm confident he's not coming back to Ghana," confirmed Fifa agent Oliver Arthur.

"I understand he had a good game yesterday [Saturday] against Medema in the Ghana Premier League and so his fitness level cannot be questioned.

"He is a promising player and I wish him all the best."

Hey guy's ,
Not much is happening so far in the transfer window with many other teams including us.

What will happen though is Liverpool will sign Junior Hoilett from blackburn and also a striker. I have no clue on who the striker will be because we have been linked to so many , i know we won't sign Demba Ba because he is in Africa and we need a striker now.

Not a rumour but a statement. Just my opinion. Would like your thoughts fellow readers or Ed's. 1. Don't expect any players that exceed our Salary Cap. 2. Don't expect anyone already playing in Champions League unless they are nearing contract end, fallen out with club or manager therefore not playing. 3. Expect proven English Premier League players who are within the age category set out. 4. We need a natural goalscorer? ( we won't be getting any from our competitors for Champ League). 5. Following that how many strikers have proven goalscoring talents within age category who have been consistent goalscorers over that last number of seasons. 6. We need a right winger, a replacement for Gerard, a Striker of World Class stature not any of these mediocre names we have seen on the sight. 7. To follow that forget about these World Class players until were back in Champ league. So my question is what type of World Class, fed up, salary cap perfect player could we attract?

Sorry about the lengthy statement but I'm afraid we are miles away from winning the league at the moment with the players we have and we will have to work harder to achieve Champ league qualification. {Ed002's Note - I gave up after the first one - salary cap?}

Statement? do you work for the club?
is gerrard having his wages docked?

Salery cap? There is no cap, the fact of the matter is Liverpool won't spend for the sake of it, if a player of the right calibre comes available then an attempt will generally be made to sign said player, it just so happens that it is very difficult to find high quality players that are available in jan

Like Luis Suarez?

I think what he meant was dont expect any players on massive wages to join as that would break our 'salary cap' eg. anyone who earns more than SG.

Well english premeir league proven players has worked out for us so far hasnt it? with the exception of bellamy of course

I've heard that Joe Cole will sign for QPR in the summer. Price agreed with lfc if lille don't take up their option to buy.
Maxi won't move until the summer probably back to south America, kuyt is looking to move but prefers a premier league club, believe it or not everton and villa are interested, amongst others. My personal opinion is that Suarez leaving is a very real possibility now, the racism row is negative pr for the owners and could have an impact on sponsors.
I know little about players in, all the stories I'm hearing are the usual ones being mentioned here.
Heard a little peep about Anichebe moving across the park, but I would be very surprised if that was true, not that I'd say no to having him, he's decent to be fair.

Stop talking through your backside

Rather have Voronin back than Anichebe

I'll send you the bill for the coffee stain that's now in my carpet that was spat out when reading this

What!

Nice try victor. Lol

Would be very surprised if you just didn't imagine all this.

The Peoples Club are interested in EVERYBODY until a transfer fee and wages are quoted and then they vanish from the scene.Anichebe,s crossing the park would only be to try to buy tickets for the Man Utd cup tie!
