E.D.

Any further development on the transfer front??

In or out

apparently with have a LFC representative talking With Athletico and Valencia, And before people start saying Aguero that is close to impossible at this moment of time due to Aguero's insane wage demands

Looking forward to your input

LFC'S MANGO {Ed001's Note - I know we are in on and off talks with Valencia but they are stalled until the U21s finish or at least until Spain go out. I don't know of any talks with Atletico though, I will see what I can dig up.}

Was going to post earlier but was watching Blood Diamond. Not a great film but watchable.

Anyway, have already put this in response to a post regarding Aguero on banter. Citytalk had a rumour mill this morning and I think it may have been Tony Barrett discussing potential signings. Flicked through posts today and if mentioned already I apologise,

Clichy bid is a cast iron one. Arsenal only looking for 5-6 million, but other clubs know that too. Personally have major question marks over his defending and ability to deliver a ball.

Downing is also in melting pot. Young was bid for in Jan but now the preferred option is Downing.

I quote "Wickhams next club will be Liverpool".

Adam is still of interest. It is what Blackpool will be willing to deal.

Like I said not my rumours but what was on city talk.

Liverpool are struggling to reach a compromise pay-off agreement with Milan Jovanovic in order to move the Serbian international on. Anderlecht and FC Brugge have offered Jovanovic, 29, a return to Belgian football but the former Standard Liege striker is not prepared to take a considerable cut on his £60,000-a-week wages.

I should check my contacts mate. Real have been told they can have Aguero for 45 Million euros. As ambitious as our owners are I do not think they would match that and then there is the problem of him wanting a salary about 50% more than our current highest.
I don't have any contacts but that is reliably reported in Spain.

----------------------------------------------------------

I heard that Atletico are charging Real Madrid more for tax reasons so that A.Madrid get how much Aguero is worth after tax is taken away. Aguero wanted a move so asked them to take this away and they said they would not charge any other club the tax because they do not want to deal with Real Madrid. that is why they said that Aguero would not be sold to Real Madrid.

Silvestre: Linked with a summer move and Catania say Liverpool are interested

Catania have claimed that Liverpool are interested in their Argentine defender Matias Silvestre.

The versatile 26-year-old has been playing for the Serie A club for the past three-and-a-half seasons, having arrived in Italy from Boca Juniors in January 2008.

His performances over the past 12 months have been particularly impressive and Catania general manager Pietro Lo Monaco admitted in April it was probably time for him to move on to a bigger stage.

Lo Monaco has now declared that Liverpool are among the clubs chasing Silvestre's signature, along with Villarrealand a couple of Italian rivals.

"Top of the list of those moving on is Silvestre, " Lo Monaco told Itasportpress.

"I'd struggle to keep him here, considering what a great player he is. There are two Italian clubs tracking him, but Liverpool and Villarreal are also interested in Silvestre.

"Silvestre is worth as much as Thiago Silva and scores more goals."

Staying put

There is expected to be a lot of transfer activity in and out of Catania following Vincenzo Montella's appointment as head coach this week, but Lo Monaco would like to keep as many of the club's key players as possible.

"As for Maxi Lopez, he will leave if there is a decent offer, otherwise he'll stay with us, " explained the official.

"Cristian Llama and Marco Biagianti are 100 per cent staying at Catania.

'Aguero - Although there have been many people doubting this transfer. I can tell you that Liverpool are definitely interested and have already spoken to Aguero and Athletico. We have met their valuation but the structure of payments and possible player swaps (Dani Pacheco has been muted) is yet to be agreed. This transfer Liverpool have been desperately trying to keep under wraps in order to stop a bidding war.'

Liverpool have a wage budget of 120K per player (maximum) and Sergio wants at least 180k

FSV are prepared to offer the £39M required but if Sergio does not budge on his wages we have no chance.

I have very reliable sources.

Thanks, James.

If you want to work out who LFC might be interested in all you need to do is think about the Henderson signing. The owners swear by statistical analysis. It will not have gone unnoticed that Henderson has superb stats for one so young. Check out opta stats and disregard players 26 or older. Reality Red

everyone is rubbishing these Nasri rumours but Dalglish is the type of manager to pull off these deals :)
- He would fit in as we need wide players
- Fairly cheap at around 12million
- If he dosnt sign a new contract, Arsenall will want to sell him.
- A falling club for oneon the rise dosnt seem like a bad move for Nasri either

Damien Comolli in talks with Arsenal over the possible transfer of Gael Clichy to Liverpool. We had put in a bid of £5M late last night but it was rejected. Arsenal have demanded £10M for him and the two clubs are haggling over the price as we speak. Wenger is reluctant to sell to a premier league team who pose a significant threat but wants the money to spend and will let him go. Clichy himself is keen on the move but will command high wages and signing on fee if the two clubs agree a fee.

I hope people realise that KK will not be conducting any of these transfers and will only be giving them his blessing if he wants the player. Comolli is director of football for a reason, and that is conduct transfers. Just common sense really.

Newcastle are demanding a higher fee for Enrique than Arsenal are for Clichy and he is seen by everyone enquiring about him as a waste of their time.

We did put in an £18.5M bid for Phil Jones but United have effectivly signed him after he completed his medical after they also met his £18.5M release clause.

We have not put in a bid for Conor Wickham as of now but my source expects there to be ones coming in for him soon from lots of clubs.

Aguero will not be signing. Ever (probably).

I have an important fact to share with you all... nobody knows anything! Every other post on here is just jumping on the band wagon of whatever name is mentioned in the media, everyone seems to have info/sources which they list, occasionally with the added benefit of next years line up and reserve team! Get a grip, even if you had info about transfers you still wouldn't have a clue what next seasons starting 11 would be! Please post in the rumour section ed, as these idiots are getting in the way of a good rumour website! The way i see it nothing is 'nailed' on or 100% done as there are so many variables such as interest from other clubs, jones was a 100% done deal according to so many people on here! Alex ferguson proved you all wrong, young was a done deal, once again proved wrong, lets face it some clubs can offer more and bigger insentives then we can in our current position! Which is why dealings are being kept quiet. Macca has proven to supply some good info. Amoung some others which the ed's can probably name! Maybe the ed's can find a way of highlighting which post come from creditable posters and which come from school children? Thanks ed, rant over, can't stop checking the sight by the way, driving my wife mad as i'm always on the mobile reading it in hope of finding good info! i.e. Macca and the likes! P.s i have no inside knowledge! But reckon we'll all be pleased come the start off the season, although i'll admit i'm abit sceptacle about the henderson deal, but i trust the judgement of kk!

Sorry i missed where the important fact was, but i will give you a fact, if you check your address bar at the top it will say rumour not nailed on, concrete info etc it is a site where fans share opinions wether they are right or wrong old or young but if we were all like you it would be a sad site, oh yeah i have it on good authority that we are going to sign Aguero, Neymar and Sanchez watch this space.

Rumours that ManU illegally approached Jones & did medical without permission. Blackburn not happy and prefer LFC's £19m bid. Anyone else heard this? Assume it's just a move by Blackburn to extract more money. Even if it was true I don't want him to sign for us after what he's reported to have said.

Aaron Ramsey's name has been mentioned during current telks with Arsenal. I don't think his was the only name mentioned, but as far as I know the response to Liverpool's enquiry was decidedly lukewarm.

I heard from a mate today that Arsenal would trade Clichy and Nasri for Reina. My mate says that Liverpool would agree on 2 conditions:

1) We get Bendtner or Chamakh as well
2) We sign another 'keeper first

He claims we're looking at David De Gea as keeper! I think it would be hilarious if we nabbed him from under Fergie's nose. I don't really trust this friend so I'm posting this in banter but what do people think? Would they want this to happen? I know Reina's a great keeper but that deal would solve 3 problem positions for us (left back, wing, back up striker). Personally I'd rather we just pay the money for those 3 if we want them, but it sounds like an interesting deal.

Not a rumour but just a thougt. Liverpool & Arsenal could be discussing the transfer of an LFC player to them rather than the other way round, could it be Raul?

I have information from an extremely reliable source that Liverpool are involved in a number of transfers - all at various stages of completion.

LB
Clichy - bid tabled approx £5m - has not been accepted yet but Clichy would be interested in the move
Enrique - player wishes to move to us but we are having difficulties in agreeing a fee (Newcastle are wanting at least £9m)
We have made enquiries about the availability and cost of others including Aly Cissohko (back-up option)

LW/RW
Juan Mata - bid made to Valencia in region of £22m (some haggling to be done but good chance will be concluded in late July). Player has agreed terms with the club.
Stewart Downing - enquiries have been made but no
bid tabled(AV looking for £10m+). Player is very interested in move. Seen as more of a backup option to Mata.
Slyvain Marveaux - will be completed on July 1st.

CM
Adam - player still very keen on the move and Liverpool are still haggling with Blackpool (they are being stubborn and trying to promote interest from Man U) They want £8m (more if they can get Utd involved)

CF
Connor Wickham - a fee will be agreed next week in the region of £10m (the inital fee will be closer to £6m).
Aguero - Although there have been many people doubting this transfer. I can tell you that Liverpool are definitely interested and have already spoken to Aguero and Athletico. We have met their valuation but the structure of payments and possible player swaps (Dani Pacheco has been muted) is yet to be agreed. This transfer Liverpool have been desperately trying to keep under wraps in order to stop a bidding war.

We need to start upping our game in the transfer market and speculating a little. The talent is there in the lower divisions Scott Dann 2009 £3.5M Coventry to Birmingham, Ashley Young 2007 £9M Watford to Villa, Adam Johnson 2010 £8M Middlesboro to Man City. If you followed football you already knew about their talent. Lets buy them early!

Nasri will not sign for Liverpool, if he leaves Arsenal it will be for Man Utd he wants to play champions league and he's not gonna drop to the Europa league for the few years while Liverpool sort themselves out. This makes sense as Liverpool is a step down from arsenal just use ur head and stop posting nonsense.

Liverpool's hopes of securing the signature of Arsenal's Gael Clichy have been dealt a blow after Gunners boss Arsene Wenger stated he would not sell the Frenchman to another Premier League club.

The Reds have lodged a £5m offer for the 25-year-old left-back who has entered the final year of his contract at the Emirates and has refused to sign a five-year deal worth £80,000 per week.

Tonight's Evening Standard states that Clichy, who has played for Wenger for eight years after being discovered by Damien Comolli playing for Lique 1 side Cannes, is keen to ply his trade elsewhere next season and is believed to fancy joining the Liverpool revolution.

Clichy has been linked with a host of European clubs since the breakdown of his contract extension and been touted as a possible makeweight in several deals being pursued by Wenger.

But it is believed that Wenger is reluctant to sell to one of Arsenal's rivals and is set to sanction a move abroad, with Inter Milan, Juventus, Bayern Munich and Roma among the interested clubs.

I dont thnk anyone is overly slating meireles, he has been known to shirk challenges, he is a decent footballer but aged 27 and if an 18 million bid came in for him we should consider it, he won t be getting any younger, he will lose transfer value. i believe we should consider everything, for 18 million i think we could easily replace him with someone younger and better

All these rumours are floating about Liverpool wanting Clichy or Nasri from Arsenal, when in fact they are looking at neither. In actual fact, their real target is a young, english winger/forward who goes under the name of Theo Walcott.

Walcott has openly said in the past week, that Arsenal need to spend, and win silverware as well as crucially keeping on to their top players. However, Nasri has recently said his head has been turned by Man Utd and he is unsure about his future.

Dalglish and Comolli are cleverly capitalising on this and they are going to test Walcott's loyality to the Gunners by putting a bid in within the next few days.

Hi Ed(s), hope all's well. On to rumours...

Saw previous post were you mentioned we're in talks with Arsenal, either over selling or buying a player(s). I hope we are after Gael Clichy, good player, but my main point is...what do you think the likelihood is that we're after Theo Walcott? We all know he's a boyhood LFC fan, not to mention he's English obviously, do you see it likely we're in for Walcott and Clichy? Rather than the rumoured high-jacking of Nasri or Arshavin? Personally, I'd defo take Clichy+Walcott; as I bet under KK, DC, and FSG we'd see the best out of Theo; he's got TOO MUCH pace for any defender to handle and he could solve our Right Sided problem...given his age too, and with the right players and staff behind him he could be the answer for many seasons to come...Your thoughts?

LojR {Ed001's Note - I really couldn't tell you for sure who it is, but Clichy and/or Nasri are just the obvious players for it to be. Both are refusing new contracts and looking to leave.}

10 Jun 2011 17:47:18
Liverpool are in talks with Arsenal, not over Clichy though, they are discussing a possible move for Nasri, also Arsenal are interested in Dani Pacheco. Talks are ongoing.

10 Jun 2011 17:44:31
Kjaer to sign for around £10m around late July/ early August time.

10 Jun 2011 17:34:54
{Ed001's Note - we are definitely talking to Arsenal, that is why the Clichy rumours revived, but your guess is as good as mine as to who is the subject of the talks.}

Could it be that they want one of our players and we havent enquired on any of theirs? {Ed001's Note - that is always a possibility, as is both teams wanting players from the other.}

10 Jun 2011 17:28:07
RT @ChristianMcr: Nacho Monreal from Osasuna will join Malaga for 6m Euro (5 year deal). The Spain intl left back was also #Liverpool target

10 Jun 2011 17:09:23
Ed have we actually put a bid in for clichy or nasri?
I85 {Ed001's Note - we are definitely talking to Arsenal, that is why the Clichy rumours revived, but your guess is as good as mine as to who is the subject of the talks.}

Hi Eds, Just returned this pm after feeling like I'd lost my right arm this morning! Was the site down for the server move? if so great job and brilliant timing as nothing happened whilst you did it, cheers guys.

Now then rumour I have from a club source is that we will sign 4 more players, one of whom (I'm told a left sided player) will be a major, major outlay.

Now then the source is being very secretive when pressed so I really believe that they do have information and are genuinely worried about saying any more.

I have no timescales I'm afraid but they were excited that the signings will be what we all want.

Cheers - ALB. {Ed001's Note - we moved it in the early hours, just waiting on the internet itself to catch up and realise that it now has to get the url from a different server.}

10 Jun 2011 15:55:19
Jose Enrique will sign for Barcelona, Eric Abidal will join Liverpool. Kenny knows hes 31 but sees him as a good mentor for young Jack Robinson. Please post this Ive been told from a good source.

10 Jun 2011 15:27:32
Liverpool are set to bid 10 millon for wolves and england winger Matt Jarvis. What you think of this player ed. are we interested in him. {Ed001's Note - we have looked at him, but Wolves refused to consider even beginning talks for under less than 15m at the very least.}

10 Jun 2011 14:27:31
Gael Clichy, Charlie Adam and Connor Wickham will all sign for Liverpool in the next week. They also want to sign Scott Dann, Juan Mata, Sylvian Marvuex and Stewart Downing this month in addition to the signing of Jordan Henderson which was confirmed yesterday. Ngog, Poulsen, Konchesky, Insua, Aquilani and Cole will leave, Shelvey will join Fulham on loan.

I havent heard anything about Mierles being sold however it would make sense. Despite comments on here, he was NOT our best player this season. As a season ticket holder i can tell you the anfield crowd are far from convinced. He pulls out of tackles gives the ball away and lacks something when it comes to English football. I would expect him to be moved on if a big offer came in £15m+ however he will not be part of a 3 player plus cash offer.

As for selling Aqualani for £10m, Why would we do that? Jueventus would of paid £10m Liverpool want more or will keep him.

I have it on good authority that the second Arsenal player Liverpool have enquired about is Nasri. Arsenal seem more willing to do business with Liverpool however it is a case of convicing the player himself, hence the move for teammate and fellow countryman Cleche.

Expect the quality of signings to increase player by player with easier targets being brought in first to convince the more difficult targets like Mata and Nasri (not Augreo) of the clubs intentions.

Why are people so desperate to think the Jones to Manu deal will not go through? Let it go, its fine...
I heard we may switch our attention to Eziquiel Garay, he has gotten fed up of not playing at
madrid, after his move from Racing Santander.
Ed, do you rate this boy? I saw him play for Santander, and he was a beast. 24 now I think. But I suspect Kenny may go british before anything else.
Any new rumours you've heard about wingers? WE NEED WINGERS! more than ANY other position. Also, if the crazy loony toons are right, and Mr Aguero is on his way (hmmmm), where pray tell will he play, and more importantly, who will NOT play!?

The Insane {Ed001's Note - Garay I haven't seen a lot of sorry. Winger rumours are mostly Downing and N'Zogbia.}

10 Jun 2011 12:39:03
Poulson, Ngog and possibly Konchesky to Stoke City for a combined £11m.

Hello guys, Hi again eds,

Anyone who posts about Aguero joining for any kind of fee or player swap knows nothing. Liverpool have 'tapped' up Aguero since before the Winter window and Aguero told LFC and Maxi Rodriguez that he would be keen on a move to LFC, no fees agreed, no player swaps, but a meeting will be held at the end of the month as the first talks with player reps. Nothing will be signed until July 24th at least.
Liverpool have already got permision from Atletico but as I said no fees agreed.

Real are the only issue with this deal happening, Agueros wife Giannina would prefer to stay in Madrid but is happy with England, Juve and Italy in general have been blown out of the water and Man C and Chelsea have other priorities. Ngog to leave, wickham in, Jova to leave Aguero in. This transfer should happen!! 99%!!

Have you heard anything about us making bids for both Andr s Guardado and Giovani dos Santos?

10 Jun 2011 10:22:20
Not sure if this will actually have any affect on our transfer plans but took this article straight from Reuters website..........................

Japan midfielder Keisuke Honda fears the brakes have been slammed on his career by CSKA Moscow and has called on the Russian side to let him move to a bigger club.

The 24-year-old shot to prominence at last year's World Cup in South Africa by helping Japan reach the last 16 but admitted his career had reached a crossroads.

"It's agonising, " Honda, who has been linked with English Premier League clubs Liverpool and Arsenal, told Japan's Nikkan Sports newspaper.

"I can't stay like this. I said I wanted Japan to win the World Cup. I was MVP at the Asian Cup in January but I'm still not happy with things."

The bleached-blond Honda played a key role Japan's record fourth Asian Cup triumph in Qatar, but CSKA have repeatedly issued a "hands off" warning to prospective European suitors.

As his star continues to rise on the international stage, Honda has made no attempt to hide his frustration at being stuck in a rut.

"I'm happy people give me credit after Japan win games. It's a great feeling, " said Honda, who had a spell at Dutch club Venlo before moving to Russia.

"I don't mind getting a hammering when we lose either, although it can sting sometimes. I put that pressure on myself.

"But right now I'm in a rut still being at CSKA. This wasn't what I planned. If I don't accept it I can't live my life. But if I get too used to my circumstances I'll come to a halt.

"That scares me."

Unfortunately the rumours on here about Wickham are false. He is leaving but will be going to Man Utd and then loaned out to Rangers.

10 Jun 2011 01:50:59
Been laughing at these Aguero rumours as much as anyone, until hearing today the exact same rumour from 2 different (I believe to be) reliable sources.
A bid of around £24-7m plus Pacheco, Meireles and another (believed to be Jovanovic) is to be tabled in the very near future.
--------------------------------------------------
Utter tosh. Aguero will cost in the region of $80m over the next 5 years and who is to say his performances and/or sell-on value will exceed that. It's a major financial risk that our owners will not take especially when we have Suarez doing a similar job to perfection.
It takes a lot of negotiation, medicals, contract issues, re-negotiation, personal terms to sign one player let alone three in one transfer. And after raising his profile for LFC this year, why would Meireles go to Athleti when they have debts and are losing their star players? None of it makes sense or adds up. If this deal goes through I will eat my cat and my hat.

is it true liverpool have put another bid in for jones? :S

10 Jun 2011 01:25:17
We have apparently had a 5m bid accepted for Clichy
Not saying it's certain, just saw it on facebook

10 Jun 2011 01:06:15
So the Hendersom deals sorted
Sylvain Marveaux will sign on a free as soon as the full transfer window opens
We wanted Charlie Adam on deadline day in January, if he was coming to us we would have signed him by now. Hes going to be Paul Scholes long term replacement for the mancs.
We will sign:
Doni
Gael Clichy (Seeks silverware and sees anfield as ideal)
Scott Dann
Xabi Alonso (Relishes playing for Kenny)
Charles N'Zogbia
Jeffren
Sergio Aguero *Marquee Signing*

We will sell:
Brad Jones
Insua
Agger (If an offer comes in, which is expected)
Aquilani
Merieles (part of aguero deal)
Jovanovic (part of aguero deal)
Pacheco (part of aguero deal)
Ngog

From numerous sources, whether or not reliable I can promise but ive heard nothing to suggest they arent!
LFC1802 {Ed001's Note - Adam hasn't come because he was playing for Scotland, then he went straight on holiday, he was not going to deal with his future until afterwards. Otherwise he would have gone somewhere by now, even if we didn't want him!}

By ESPN's Harry Harris (!), Football Correspondent

Phil Jones' move to Manchester United from Blackburn Rovers has been put on hold by a dispute about the player's valuation - and ESPNsoccernet can reveal a growing row between the two Premier League clubs.

ESPNsoccernet has learned that Blackburn value Jones far in excess of the £16 million offered by Manchester United to trigger what the champions believe is a release clause.

A Rovers insider told ESPNsoccernet that the player is "the nearest thing to a Tony Adams or John Terry" and that, in the view of Rovers, and their advisers put him in the £25 million category.

Unusually, the player has already passed his medical and agreed personal terms with United, which normally means the clubs have agreed the fee but ESPNsoccernet has discovered that a clause in Jones' contract only triggers the player's ability to discuss a potential move with a club who offers £16 million rather than fully complete the deal.

So Jones has been able to agree terms with Manchester United and go through the medical - even though the two clubs have failed to reach agreement."

LMAO, whether it's true or no...! Gotta love the rumour mill!

Thanks for the great site, Eds: totally hooked.

Dr S.Atire.

On a different note I'm thinking even chamak is wishing he came to us now last year lol.

Of course, there is always the possibility that Clichy is writing his tweets in English and then using Google translate to convert them to bad french grammar :D
