With Liverpool getting Lallana and Lonergan signed to short term deals, does anyone know if there is going to be a similar deal for Clyne? Or is he likely to just be released at the end of the month?

Think I read he won't get one but he may train with the squad to increase his chances of getting another club.

What would be the point? Has he played for us in the last 2 years?

What has happened with Clyne? All seems rather odd. There were rumours of drug use etc. Any insight eds?

{Ed001's Note - apart from not being very good and lacking in any kind of football intelligence you mean? His lifestyle is the kind of one that Ronaldinho would say was a bit too wild. If he perhaps stopped partying he would have a career.}

11 Jun 2020 10:42:06
No, no deal extension for Clyne, in fact he's currently training apart from the squad.

Ye like Ed1 said he's a notorious party boy loves the lifestyle more than the game itself.

{Ed001's Note - he is as committed to partying as Cristiano Ronaldo is to training.}

Clyne has money than sense. Mind you if he had a fiver he’d have more money than sense.

Seen him in the post office by ours in Formby the other day. He looks physically fit. Most of the time I see him with his mates messing around. Couldn’t really comment on his private life.

Heard Dembele is open to the possible option of a 12 month loan to Liverpool for next season with the option of a permanent position should both parties agree. Would make sense if Liverpool aren't looking to spend this window, without departures.

Dicock origi has been told he should stay a other season and asses his options thereafter.

Lallana will most likely be switching to Leicester next season, apparently that's his preferred destination, and talks between the two will take place after this year's campaign.

Liverpool are looking to add a CB if Lovren and matip are to move on and they receive the appropriate fees.

Curtis Jones has been informed he will have a big part to play in next year season, and his long term future is wanted at Liverpool

Harvey Elliott is going to be given a new contract.

Is Dembele taking Shaqiri’s position on the treatment table?

not a fan of dembele's attitude but a loan deal under the current climate could be possible.

Attitude, sick record, inflated ego, output. Are there any actual reasons to sign him?

Highlight reel footballer at best (when he’s fit, which isn’t often as he’s made out of crisps by the looks of it) . Nothing more nothing less.

He can stay at Barcelona and collect £250’000 a week to lay on their treatment table rather than clog up ours.

its not what we think that matters but rather what Klop thinks.
a loan won't be bad because if he accepts it and bombs, we have no obligation to buy especially if we not have funds to improve our squad.
next season, i any of the front 3 get a long lay off, will Eliott, Origi and Takumi be enough?

Let's not be hasty about Dembele. Klopp has long been an admirer and he could unlock the real player who lurks under the (current) sick note exterior.

Let's not forget that Gerrard had a lot of injury issues when he was a similar age too. I would personally be more worried about a player in their mid-late 20s having perpetual injury issues (any remember 'Sick Note' Andderton?! ) than one in their late teens/ early 20s.

Certainly a loan with an option (not an obligation) to buy would make a lot of sense. If the £100m+ player still lurks there, then it would be a good deal all round if the purchase price is agreed upon up front (which I presume it would be, Eds, in such a deal? )

Decelticon, even if we signed Dembele it would still be Eliott, Origi and Takumi as the probability suggests he’s more likely to be injured than available.

Hi Eds,

A youth coach at FC Nordsjælland has said that Mohammed Kudus should pick Liverpool, if that option should present itself. I know a lot of clubs have looked at him, including Premier League clubs.

Since the coach name dropped Liverpool specifically, do you know if Liverpool have looked at him?

Believable0 Unbelievable0

{Ed002's Note - I really have no idea if Liverpool have looked to the kid but Mohammed Kudus (S) Galatasaray, Red Bull Salzburg and Sampdoria have spoken in general terms with his club about a transfer and have been asked for €6M. Marseille and Everton were represented at a game against Brondby but I have not made any approach at this time.}

Thanks for the replay Ed.

{Ed002's Note - I should add that RBS are not convinced he is up to standard - described as "raw".}
