Nice want to sign Simon Mignolet in January. Any truth to this? And if it happens, are there any ideas about what we'd do in regards to a no. 2?

Great question, who's even available as a number 2? Reina moved to Milan in the summer, but he might have been a shout.
Anyone know how Grabara is progressing?

Surely Tom Heaton should be worth a shout. It depends if he's searching for first team football though. Surely you'd be more proud being backup for Alisson, than backup to Joe Hart, haha.

I like Heaton but I don't think he'd suit our style. A fantastic shotstopper a couple of seasons ago, but can he come in for when Alisson's out and play a high line and sweep up?

I don't agree with signing a new number 2 in January, nor handing the No. 2 slot to one of two 19 year olds (Kelleher and Grabara) . Best option is to stay with Mignolet until the summer, and find a serious No. 2. He may want out now, the coaching staff may want him out, and a lot of of the fans want him out also, but the potential downside is huge if Alisson is unable to play due to injury or illness.

Ra is correct, people don't take number 2's as serious as they should until we're in sh*t street then suddenly it matters. God forbid Alisson got injured then we have to pile all the pressure on one of the youngsters who clearly aren't ready? nah that's not good for them nor is it good for the club. I agree, keep Migs until summer and then look at getting somebody who is capable to come in when needed.
If Kelleher and Grabara make it with us which let's be honest, it's a big if then we're looking at a few years down the line imo (they have plenty of time to impress) . Alisson is here long term, what chance do they have really?
