Good evening ed's and reds. Is there anything in Liverpool scouting Dortmunds young 17 year old AM Giovanni Reyes at all? Maybe not a move now but I was wondering what the opinion on the lad from Liverpool was as I have seen potential links.

not surprising they would scout him based on his skill set and progression over the last year. before anybody jumps down my throat I will also say that the fact that he's American has to be an attractive option to Liverpool just like Christian pulisic. Liverpool's not going to sign somebody based on where they're from clearly but if they have talent and also have marketing capabilities that seems to be like a win-win. as an American I'm just glad we finally have some Young bucks, who actually have skills and who are not playing in the toilet league that is MLS.

Absolutely agree on the nationality not deciding but definitely influencing a decision. Take Minamino for example. Great player and in pre season has looked a step above what he was when signed. However, add on to that there really isn't many Japanese players at the top top clubs. His marketing for the club will push us in a direction not achievable before in japan.

Ed002 I wonder is there still a possibility of Liverpool moving for Filip Stevanovic? You said there's an offer on the table for him from another club but no transfer can go through until he turns 18 on September 25th? So is it conceivable that Liverpool could bid for him closer to then (with money they get for Wilson maybe) and we won't actually miss out on this terrific signing you've lauded?

Having him and Elliot as Mane and Salah's deputies and eventual successors does seem the perfect formula for our wide-forward positions. You think it's unlikely because you expect Partizan to keep him and auction him for big big money next year, is it?

Maybe Musialowski or Balagizi are earmarked for that role with Elliott. We already have a lot of fantastic kids at the club. Stefanavic does look the real deal though.

ed002 I thought he had signed for Utd weeks ago. If he has not I have not seen him play but would take your word that his a very good prospect but with us not seeming to sell to may players I don't think we will be signing anybody let alone 17 year olds for £10m+. I do think there will be few more players move around before the close of the window though I just think its a game of nerves teams holding out for there prices to be met.

According to journalist, Constantin Eckner Liverpool have finally offered £22.7m (25m euros) for Thiago.

I hope after all hype surrounding Thiago, he is good as people seem to think.

If true, i suppose that could mean Wijnsldum is on his way.

I think if something was going to happen with Thiago then it would of done by now, the fact we Still haven’t approached Bayern speaks volumes imo and if Gini does leave we will look to bring in Grujic.

The level of drop off when you replace Wijnaldum with Keita/ Ox is massive. I don’t think people realise how important Wij is. He’s the one who’s never injured in that midfield. Henderson, Ox, Keita even Fabinho all love a good injury. So does Thiago. We should think carefully before we go discarding any of our first team 11 that brought the Prem and the UCL.
