Ed002 could explain the mangla signing at city its being said they have only bought 56% of his image rights I though in England u had to own the full amount cheers

Believable7 Unbelievable4

{Ed002's Note - Firstly ownership rights and not image rights are the issue that needs to be considered. You cannot have third party ownership of players playing in England. It means that if they have what is called third party owner, which might be a group of investors, might be another club, that has to be resolved before they play in England. A number of countries do not allow third party ownership, like England, and it can make transfers complicated. The registration of the player stays with the club - so, for example, the owners cannot force Benfica to sell Rodrigo, but they can control the asking price.

Markovic is a good example where the club only owned half of the player - Liverpool needed to pay for that half and the other half owned by a third party - plus some pretty steep agent and representative fees.}

Hi eds what's the latest regarding Borini? Are Sunderland looking at different options?

Believable9 Unbelievable1

{Ed002's Note - Sunderland want Borini still but are, I am told, looking elsewhere.}

More a question than a rumour, If Moreno plays for Sevilla in the Super Cup and then signs for us is he still eligible to play for us in the Champions league?

Steady1971

Believable23 Unbelievable4

{Ed002's Note - Sure.}

Eds you seem to be the only people we can believe can you please plz please tell us what the hell is happening with moreno have we agreed a fee or not don't no what to believe so many conflicting reports

Believable9 Unbelievable9

{Ed002's Note - It is as I explained. Liverpool made an offer including a player maybe 10 days or so back. I am sure that a deal can be done but the player has previously played up (you will recall the Chelsea discussion) and clubs do not generally respond well to being screwed around during negotiations. Something can still be done. Or maybe try what an ex-player suggested to me, play Can at left back?}

Sorry ed what do you mean by 'play up'? Do you mean with regards to wages or something similar?

Agree1 Disagree0

{Ed002's Note - RTP.}

If anyone watched the Dortmund game on TV the two commentators mentioned Can playing once at LB for BL in the CL, he was rubbish, they lost 5-0 and he never played LB again.

Agree3 Disagree1

{Ed002's Note - You are probably right - time to force him out of Liverpool - you fancy the standard hate campaign? Or should we do more to make the mother know he simply "ain't Liverpool quality"."

Is true Liverpool are in talks with Eto's agent over a 1 year contract? I'm guessing he would need to take a huge wage cut to join us? But wouldn't be bad signing I think he would play good back up to Sturridge and Origi Will be ready next season

thought I was quite alone in thinking this is a good signing.

Agree0 Disagree0

He's on £350k/week is he not? So even if he took 20% of that, which he wont, he'd still be making more than Sturridge. Thanks but no thanks.

Sevilla' president has warned Liverpool AGAIN that Moreno will not be leaving unless we meet there valuation.

He said there has been talks with Liverpool 8 to 10 days ago but right now he will be staying with savilla.

Believable20 Unbelievable56

Really have no idea why we are pursuing this guy if his club are being like this over his sale. I would much rather put that money towards a striker. We have plenty of cover in that position now so why bother.

Agree1 Disagree2

I know what you're saying SGS. However, we're not buying the club or the president (who may be a bit of an person!). As long as the player is still keen to come, then we should just work through this.

Dave Whelan is a bit like this guy sounds, always shooting his mouth off to the press, so we just need to suck it up, trust the negotiators and hope for the best outcome.

Agree5 Disagree0

I think the Sevilla president is telling porkies. If they are unwilling to budge at all, what have they been discussing for 10 days? Surely that's a half day type conversation at most

Agree2 Disagree0

Plenty of cover, we don't even have an adequate 1st choice LB!

Agree2 Disagree1

That's exactly what Ed002 said a week back.
I still expect us to sign this player before the window.

Suaresgum

We need a LB more than any other player. We actually don't have a quality player on the left side.

Agree2 Disagree0

Sick of this on off transfer. Think we should move on to another target.

Hearing rumours that Sulley Muntari is about to sign for us

Believable13 Unbelievable144

I think everyone's with you on this one mate.

Agree7 Disagree0

Never said I wanted it to happen but it's just what I've heard

Agree1 Disagree11

Did the same person tell you barrack obama is signing as rodgers assistant manager?

Agree5 Disagree1

Would be Bizarre. We have signed 2 players to play CM and are now top heavy in the area. Could do with 1 sale to be honest. As much as I like him I would think Lucas should be the one. Allen should stay because he's versatile and can be used post Gerrard. Lucas is brilliant but I see Can taking over his duties.

Agree1 Disagree1

It would be pointless to the extreme, It will not happen.

Agree2 Disagree0

Yep to replace Gerrard! I can't stand those agents fishing for interest for their rubbish!

I heard a deal has been broken with swansea. 12m for bony and allen going the other way? Have anyone else heard of this?

Believable39 Unbelievable133

I would take that myself. Allen is not good enough to play for Liverpool. And while I'm at it neither is Lambert. Why the club bought him is beyond belief.

Agree1 Disagree18

Glad i'm not the only one that thinks this. I would of kept borini instead of lambert but mind you. geting 14m for him is not half bad isit? I just hope we sign a class striker . I think we deserve it tbh not bony. but with the whole wages that players crave for these days, and Liverpool as tight as * when it comes to wages . we will probably buy someone like bony which is not bad but we could do better.

Agree0 Disagree3

Lambert was bought prior to Suarez departure, due to Aspas and potentially Borini leaving. I was watching the warm up prior to the ManU game in Miami, Rickie was the 1 fwd that scored with everyone of his shots, Gerrard, Sterling etc were poor in comparison. I think he is probably heaping a lot of pressure on himself and so the weight of expectation is proving tough, as soon as he scores his 1st. I think we will see a different Rickie

Agree7 Disagree0

Broken? or brokered?

Agree4 Disagree0

Lambert has played a few bits for LFC so far.

Aspas, Borini or Lambert. Check the goal scoring charts chaps!

*disclaimer* I'm not having a go at the other players, just stating the obvious.

Agree1 Disagree0

Lambert has won two golden boots and just last season was joint 13th top scorer (with Gerrard) and only two players had more assists than him. Not bad at all for ~£4M, in my opinion.

Agree3 Disagree0

Joe Allen is a very important part of the Liverpool squad

Also allen is valued by Liverpool at exactly what they paid for him!
Why on earth would we go offering close to £ 30 million for Bony? Its nonsense!

Agree0 Disagree0
