Just seen on crunchsports.com that fabio coentrau (spelling) has said he loves liverpool fc, but benfica would be looking for £25million, which at 22 years old would be in line with what nesv want to be paying for top players.

One player I think Kenny will go for in the summer if he's still in the job is Stuart Holden of Bolton. In an article he did before he became manager, he praised Holden.
Also, I would quite like Jack Rodwell to join us, however I can't see him wanting to join or Everton wanting to sell

Evening ed , been a while but just read the bulls**t about Carroll and suarez squaring up to each other.BRILLIANT not true but proves the thought of them together up front in a couple of weeks is frightening the s**t out of every team in the league .can't wait psv {ed's note - I think it was a joke ready for the pic posted in the player sightings page mate.}

Obviously the reports of Carrol and Suarez squaring up to each other are total nonsense considering they havent even trained together, plus its being reported on Caughtoffside but you've gotta love the picture they used for the story!

Why would we want to spend so much on a player who is 31 this year? 6 years ago, maybe! Even on a bad day Cole has to be worth around £6m

Just a thought. . .WBA were very interested in David Ngog, with RH going there maybe they will rekindle there intrest in the summer. .Creating room for a new young striker. .
ED we all know our need for defensive and wide men. but if you were looking to add to our attackers how many do you think we need and would you count Kuyt as a striker and put him back in the position he made his name in??
{Editor Note: I would always play Kuyt up front, he is ineffective on the wings in my opinion. In terms of attacking players I'm not quite sure. Two wingers, like you said. Maybe a striker who can act as cover for Carroll and Suarez.}

Another busy window in the summer with lots of transfer activity in and big earners out.
Kenny will be announced as fullt ime manager on a 2 year deal.
Outs could include Jovanovic, Konchesky and Cole.
Cole is likely to go to West Ham with James Tomkins arriving.
Also expect to see Ashely Young, A LB, A RB, Christian Eriksen and a yound cheap-ish striker.
N'gog may also leave on loan.

It's not a rumour as such but with AC back in light training I've been told he will be in contention for the Manc game on the 6th of March fingers crossed. Source Phil Coles neighbour.

Ed do you think it is possible to see antoine griezmann and the likes in liverpool coulours in the summer? . and do you rate valencias pablo hernandez?. he would be cheaper than ashley young and im my opinion much much better. .cheers. L7S.
{Editor Note: Apparantly we had Griezmann watched in the Summer and he fits the bill. I wouldn't be surprised to see him here. Pablo Hernandez is a top winger and I hear Emery prefers Joaquin over him. He's not the only Valencia player Emery doesn't favour - Ever Banega is another.}

I heard from a very reliable source that in Jan, Commoli was looking closely at Ghanaian Sadick Adams from A.Madrid, but Kenny was unsure.
The talent from Japan was Takashi Usami and Yuji Ono.
Usami is still very much on our radar and i'm expecting to see him sign during the summer, but we need to beat off reported interest from Bayern.
A friendly against Gamba Osaka, or a tournament involving Gamba Osaka is also in the pipeline

Watched Liverpool train today from my mates bedroom (he lives on Melwood Drive) and were practicing a formation with main players on one side against the rest. From the team it looked like this is how they will line up on saturday:

NOTE: Gerrard and Kelly didn't take part in training. Aurelio took Gerrard's place and John Flanagan took Kelly's place.

oxlade chamberlain
romelu lukaku ( slim chance , too expensive )

fabio coentrao
arda turan
charlie adam
marvauex ( dunno if hes still a target , but hes on a free)
i have no doubt that these players are on our shortlist and have been looked at , what you think ed? who out of these do you think we could sign?
i think arda turan and whickham are players who will both love to join us. i think eden hazard should be top target and we need a cm and i would love charlie adam or javi martinez {ed's note - it is far too early to know who is likely to sign, it is months away and injuries, loss of form etc can make significant changes over the coming months.}

Liverpool boss Kenny Dalglish insists Pepe Reina is going nowhere.
Reina has been linked with Manchester United and Arsenal this week.
"We have a fantastic goalkeeper and he will be here for a long, long time, " said Dalglish.
"The Champions League is what everyone here wants to get to. For us it's only been a year where we've not had it and that's what we want to get back.
"It should be the same for every player, we should all be aiming for that."

also canales - hes going to be a massive player for the future but hes already said he won't leave madrid unfortunately.
if we can't get canales what you think about fernando gago of madrid he could be available and i think hes just 24.
as for the current liverpool squad, i can see lots of players leaving in the summer because lets face it theres alot of dead wood there still.

A guy I work with, graphic installer, did some work around Ashley Young's house in January and told me that Ashley would favour a move to ManU(re) over Liverpool, but that may change now that Liverpool are on the way up, with Kenny in charge. .

West Brom have appointed Roy Hodgson as their new manager following last week's sacking of Roberto di Matteo, according to a statement on the club's official website.
The former Liverpool, Fulham and Inter Milan boss has signed a short term deal at the Hawthorns, taking over until June 2012.
Hodgson had been the favourite to land the job in recent days, despite a turbulent spell in charge at Liverpool, with former Newcastle United boss Chris Hughton also believed to be considered for the job.
Michael Appleton, who was appointed Caretaker Head Coach following the sacking of Roberto Di Matteo on Sunday, will remain in charge for tomorrows home clash against West Ham.hope he does the head rubbing for motd lol

Editor we should target Ever Banega to fill alonso's boots not Charlie Adam, would you agree with me on this. A 3 man-midfield of Banega, Meireles, Lucas would have much more depth defensively together with meireles and banega also spraying passes around the park and have a front 3 of Gerrard, Carrol, Suarez. Would very much appreciate your feedback editor, thankyou. {ed's note - Banega or Martinez would be my choice, rather than Adam, I would edge towards Javi Martinez though, he looks ideal for the Prem.}

I think everyones over reacting regarding pepe reina and forgetting while arteta's still at everton pepe's still got probs his closest friend in football Still living in the city!
But if he does decide to go yea it will be disappointing but we'll trust Kenny and his team to get the best replacement possible!
