Liverpool and Man City are both interested in Borussia Mönchengladbach midfielder Florian Neuhaus, according to kicker.

Eds is this true and any idea if he is a good target?

Thanks.

{Ed002's Note - Florian Neuhaus (CM) There remains significant interest in the Borussia Muenchengladbach player with Bayern Munich and Borussia Dortmund seeing him as a player who will continue to improve. Real Madrid see him as an option in midfield and his representative has made no secret that there has been interest from elsewhere including Manchester City, Spurs, Juventus and the Milanese clubs, but Milan seems a less likely destination. Borussia Dortmund will push hard for him but they have growing money issues. I am not aware of any approach by Liverpool at this time.

Ismalia Sarr's agent claims he agreed a contract with Liverpool last month but that the clubs couldn't agree a transfer fee.

Might be one to watch in the summer. Would definitely be the end for Origi. Hopefully Taki has a great few months on the South Coast and Elliott comes back firing too. Along with Jota that'd be our attack sorted for years.

{Ed002's Note - He would be a Shaqiri replacement not Origi.}

That's interesting Ed002. I kind of saw Elliott as more of a Shaqiri replacement. I'm not 100% sure on Sarr as a player but i am 100% sure i trust Klopp, Hunter and Edwards. I guess it would all hinge on sales we make or Watford agreeing to a payment plan though. Can't imagine their prized asset would come cheap. I'd expect a similar fee to Jota. Either a big cost up front, or smaller payments that cost more in the long run!

{Ed002's Note - If Sarr or Adama are signed it might prove the end of HE. Sarr would be off to AFCON as well. Watford have previously rejected Liverpool's offer to buy him on instalments.}

Quite honestly I wouldn’t want either, I’m all for developing players etc but I don’t see enough in either of those two to warrant ridiculous fees and the loss of a better player.

{Ed002's Note - It is what led to the late deal for Jota.}

I see Elliot more as a CAM than an option for the front 3. If we can find buyers for Shaq, Origi and Minamino, maybe we can afford to add Sarr as another option to our forward line.

They signed Jota, only way Sarr would happen is if one of the front three left. The likes of sarr and trader are not going to want to sit on the bench all season.

Given the financial situation I don’t see a forward player a priority this summer unless one of the front three go.

Salah, Mane, Firmino, Jota, Elliot and Minamino should be more than enough.

I think Taki needs a lot of gametime in the PL before he comes back. He's got so much energy for the game that I'd hate to see it wasted sitting on the bench.

{Ed002's Note - What are you talking about? They play in different positions.}
