i think suarez was more stating the fact he would like to play with lugano someday rather then PSG. he ver said he wanted to leave. basically just the option if he wanted to. and that other big clubs want him aswell. but i wouldnt mind lugano either. great player for uruguay. any chance lugano would come our way or have we ever looked at him? {Ed002's Note - I rather suspect that Lugano is irrelevant to Liverpool.}

Luis said he would be open to a move to ANY big club!!
sell him hes a diving potty mouth cheat,and has dragged our club through the mud!

I suspect Liverpool is irrelevant to Lugano

Ed's after trawling through various posts on here can I be right in predicting that:

A. KK will go back upstairs in the summer
B. Suarez will be sold
C. Johnson also sold

Who would be your choices if the above does happen?

Lee73 {Ed001's Note - all are possible. No idea on any manager, Llorente or Higuain would be my ideal choices though unlikely and Kelly to get the chances he needs to settle in.}

Personally don't see Johnson going cos if any of you follows him on Twitter, he said he did a photoshoot of the new kit. I'm not saying its impossible, just unlikely.

That was for the new England kit mate.

Benitez back and full support to build the team.

If suarez was to go I'd want carroll shipped off with him then try for lavezzi and possibly higuain doubt any top players would wana join us tho unless we made them man city wages

I hope so...come back Rafa, with the money we will have, you will win us the title...KK, we love and always love, but Rafa is the manager we need...and looks like he's waiting to come to us!!

Benitaz messed it up last time we had a title winning team and has failed every where he has been since.I definitely do not want him back.

Ed what do you make of Suarez's reported comments that he could go play at PSG and that he would like to play with his international team mate Lugano? Cheers {Ed002's Note - I don't make anything of it.}

Do you think it is fake quote ed or do you just think nothing will come of it? {Ed002's Note - It will not be a "fake quote" but without a transcript it can easily be taken out of context.}

Lads its like anything else with player's comments... its all about the context of them aint it... i mean, asked if i'd like to head to Brazil for the WC finals & maybe 'play' with a few Brazilians then sure i would, but dont mean im going, can't afford it, worse luck! hehehe

Damn Ed002 ya beat me to it hehehe... the oul 'context' is a wonderful & splendid thing aint it! Who kno's HOW or WHAT Suarez is thinkin right now.... we'll see eh! ;-) {Ed002's Note - I will see if I can get a transcript tomorrow.}

The guy gives are club a bad name get rid kenny

has anyone else heard about suarez staiting he'd join 'psg or any other big club' in a canal+ interview?

11 Mar 2012 20:57:26
suarez has said he'd like to join PSG

11 Mar 2012 20:30:48
Via @tomwfootball (Tom Williams - good French football journalist): Luis Suarez asked if he'd like to join PSG on Canal+. "Yes, but like any other big club." Said he'd enjoy playing with Diego Lugano.

-Shane.

I love how everybody brings what journalists say to this forum. Do half the people reporting these quotes know the focus of the video was an interview with Lugano. It was near the end of the video that Suarez and Cavani was asked about joining PSG. When Suarez says yes it is about entertaining the idea of playing for PSG with his friend and not if he wants to leave. Here's what French journalist, Philippe Auclair, has to say:
"By saying they'd love to play with him, Cavani and Suarez are providing support to a man they admire. IMO, of course."

i think we should sign matt phillips he is young fast and has the spark we lack I know you will all say he is championship quality but chamberlain came form the championship and he had some really gud performances for arsenal.

Were did charlie adam come from , hes only championship material

Swap for Charlie Adam, perhaps would be the best deal for us. He has been one of the major disappointments this season. :(

Chamberlain came from league 1

No chance Danny Graham

eds any interest in bas dost think his style of play would def fit in with our football simlair player to hunterlaar but would be alot cheaper.

belfast red adam {Ed002's Note - None.}

Bas dost? How easy is it to google somebody's name. How do you live without walking into things?

I have read Ed02's comments about kenny maybe not being manager in summer...... get's me to thinking,
was there more to Rafa's sacking than football? I never understood how a manager who reached 2 euro finals, fa cup winners and regular top 4 finishes was outed for 1 bad season. especially as the club was about to undergo a takeover. Why would purslow and co dismiss with rafa's services when his record may have appealed to new owners??
seems very strange to me, dont get me wrong, i too luv king kenny but i do feel that we let a very talented coach go......
can u post in rumours cos id be interested in others views on this

robkop

"was there something more to Rafa's sacking than just football"?

No she*p Sherlock.

For anyone who doesnt believe in the Easter Bunny, I very much doubt our Spanish Shankly will be back any time soon. NESV are there purely for the profit. They wont back him. They wont back anyone. Only the mugs cant see it!

Hiya mate ,i spoke to my brother earliar today about the same thing.my thought was that maybe john henry first meetings about buying the club was 12 months before they got it .if you recall rafa demands a 5 year contract about the same time,maybe j henry forced it so he didnt have to pay out the clause if rafa failed in his roll ,and there might have been a clause that he couldnt return for 18 months that why kenny came in to keep it all tight in the club .i for one would not be surpised if rafa returns in the summer and kenny moves aside as mangers staff. cheer psv

How you can bring a man to take charge well knowing that he has not been in management for the past 16-18 years is just ridiculous. Next up, Messi will play as Goal Keeper for Barca...

Kenny is a disgrace, Kenny is way down my list of Legends anyways coz he is like Torres, just looked good because he had a great team who would feed him simple tap ins...I wish someone would just assassinate KD for good!!..

Seriously mate? Did you not see the complete destruction that Benitez inflicted on a very successful Inter team. He took a treble winning team and single-handedly destroyed it inside 4 months. Unfortunately for Inter they still haven't recovered.

If Benitez came back none of our young players like Sterling would have any chance of getting near the first team squad either.

Just a reply to one of replies on this ,i must have a problem with my tv cause theres. NO sterling ,morgan,suso,robo flano play against sunderland.i will retune it for tuesday game .Cant wait now cheers mate

I'd welcome back Rafa. At least we'd have a coach that is a fan about our club and not just another mercenary. He's always in the contributing to the British press, he's staying in the country for a reason I reckon, he's waiting for the Liverpool job to become available.

I think Kenny would make a great coach for the youth players. He's obviously keen on developing young players, if he does step aside I'd like to see him stick around (I'm sure he would anyway, just sayin').

To 3rd post above there... i'll go with yer 1st comment.... been outta management a while don't help... but on yer 2nd comment... can i ask, did u ever see Kenny play IN HIS DAY (not on video/DVD) can i ask... cause we sure as hell aint thinkin of the same player.... Torres wouldnt be fit to lace Ken's trainers... tap in's my arse... boggles the mind!

F@£$ing hell man! 2 weeks ago we were lifting a piece of silverware that we hadn't felt for 6 YEARS! thanks to kk and now 2 games later your all asking for his head!?...1 great performance but wrong result and 1 bad performance and a bad result he is all of a sudden a mercenary? Seriously get a f@&*king grip and get behind the team and manager and let's see where we are at the end of the season then judge. If we don't achieve champions league then the owners might move him some where upstairs and bring someone new in, and if he does somehow achieve Champions League then all of you will look like impatient little 15 year olds who only know how to support their team like the mancs.....rant over.

I remember a joke when i was younger, "why is kenny dalglish like a match stick? because he always strike's from the edge of the box. that joke did not come about from kenny scoring tap ins.

Rafa won 2 cups with us , his style of play was counter attack , and if the team we played sat back we could not do anything , if he was that good inter would have kept him , why did they let this great manager go , if he was that good they would have kept him , every were he has gone he has fell out with the board because of money , we dont need him to buy loads of players again and waste all that money

Hey guys i really dont know the destruction he did to Inter or Liverpool. Inter was full of old players, the owners didn't invest in any players expect the young brazillian kid who was awesome when rafa was there, he had no defenders for 2 months and I remember cambissio playing in defence. he left them more than a year ago where are they now??
LFC was the best when was here he bought players whom we sold for 50mil, 30 mil 25mil. please tell me if there was any players bought by hoolier or even KK that will fetch you 50mil. NO is the answer. The media didn't like him because he stood for what he believed and more importantly he stood against fergie and his pack of other managers. There was a moment in hollier era when LFC fans in London pup use to sit with their LFC shirt hidden because they knew that we are play badly and lose and the opposition will laugh at us, and I have seen that with my own eyes.
now we think which player will come to us because we cant provide them with champions league football or any kind of assurance that we are moving forward where as when he was here everyone wanted to come to us. Please remember he was the one who bought KK, fowler, borrelio and the other coaching staff to us along with LFC future backbone like Kelly, Robinson, Flanagan, sterling, Silva....
so trust me we will be very very lucky to have him back

I too would love to see Rafa back, we had pride and passion under him. OK sometimes we won ugly but we won. Wasn't he the one who changed around our academy and said we need to invest in our youth. Don't get me wrong Kenny is a legend but i think sometimes he lacks in the tactics for matches. I would like to see him working with comoli bringing in talent and then bringing them on for the future.
What ever happens in the future though I will be behind the team 100% a red for life and proud of it

Are we going to chew the "League Cup" gum now? How pitiful have we become by giving the Mickey Mouse cup as a success? Success is to get the 4th damn place. No Mickey Mouse cup no Serious CUP. CL football is success. You are pathetic.

Inter was a treble winning team because of Mourinho and because Moratti splashed money at Mourinho's time. After the treble Moratti sat back, while AC Milan was becoming a superpower. Benitez didn't have time to build the team, didn't have the financial support(again) and he actually didn't destroy them, he was just never going to make the same success as Mourinho. They were not in that bad shape under Rafa. Now they are in a far worse shape.

You all forget how boring we played under Rafa. We won (never enough to take home the real prize in the Prem) but most of the time it was from lucky goals and brilliant Gerrard goals (which are quite rare these days).

I loved seeing Rafa go and would hate to see him return. Did you forget how he destroyed Inter after they'd won the Serie A and champs league? I laughed when I heard he might go to chelsea because that would mean the end of them.

And don't forget about his bizarre squads he put on the field every week.

Boring? Like boring when we crashed United in OT 4-1? Or boring like we crashed Real Madrid 4-0 in CL? Or boring like the final with Milan? Or boring like the 4-4 with Arsenal? Or boring like 4-4 with Chelsea in CL? I've been proud under Rafa. Now I am ashamed of my team.

I don't think Rafa single-handedly destroyed inter. He fell out with the management because they wouldn't give him the funds he felt he needed. I would MUCH prefer to win ugly than to draw 1/3 of our home games. Rafa got Torres and in his prime, was hands down then best player we've had in a long long time. I'd be happy to give KK and his new signings another year, that's only fair I think, but he has to strengthen the squad in the summer. Not asking for another overhaul but at least another 2/3 impact/ quality players. Our first 11 is fairly strong, but our bench is poor IMO.

Unbeleivable! Rafa is a step backward, I think it's great he still has a house local and loves the poeple and tradition, but so did Houlier and I wouldnt want him back either. If I ever saw them in a pub or on the street I would willingly shake thier hand and talk of the great times (McCallister freekick in the derby for GH and Istanbul with RB - and yes I ws there for both) but neither played good football or inspired me as a fan. Yes RB brought in Torres and it he should be credited with the sale not KK, and GH nurtured Stevie G at a bad time so yes loads to be thankful for but look at the string of no hope players they brought in and teh money wasted. Yes Gillit & Hicks where the devil incarnate and they are gone, whatever you say of the new owners they are forward looking, wrote off the debt, plans for new stadium, invested in the team and got rid of grandad Roy (who made that mistake?) so I for one hope they choose someone who can inspire the team and fans, and that is only if KK decides to go. Yes KK has made mistakes, so what, we should assess against progress, even if slow. Its a tough league with so many clubs investing so we have more battles to sign players who are better than those they are replacing;- which is teh way of old and hopefully soon to return. I don't think KK actually goes out to weaken the team. Have faith, but don't run out and get your kids a Suarez print on the back of his top for birthday - as sad as it is - he is gone! x

11 Mar 2012 16:47:30
are we interested in;

1) Jakub Blaszczykowski

2) Michu

3) Javi Martinez

{Ed002's Note - I would be surprised; I can't see a move happening but he may well have been looked at; No.}

I already said that about the pole.

11 Mar 2012 16:40:23
The debate about kk is ongoing! I remember before woy got the job one of the eds suggesting a certain Brendan Rodgers! Although he has now signed a deal with Swansea could we tempt him? Would love to see good football so please no mourhino!! What are the eds thoughts? Obviously all ifs and buts! Just wondering on opinion! {Ed001's Note - I doubt he would want to move just yet.}

If Brendan Rogers was to replace Kenny it would only be a matter of time before the (so-called) fans would be calling for his head if after a year in charge we weren't top of the Premiership.

11 Mar 2012 14:41:36
Eds,
Should we sign up the 8.5 million pound scoring machine, Jackson Martinez? {Ed002's Note - If Liverpool have a strong interest in Jackson Martinez January should have been the time to make a move. But I can confirm is that Villareal, Benfica, Porto and Sporting Lisbon have been interested in him.}

Well Luuk de Jong has a better record than him in a much better league this season. How come, he be a goal machine. I'd certainly prefer Luuk de jong.

Because this bloke is a nutcase and has not only pace but strength and clinical finishing in front of goal, either it by foot or head.

Reply to ED2
I have no reason to doubt the teams listed but what I did think is how often teams from portugal and spain sign this type of player and then sell them on at a profit.I am aware the culture and climate is similar and not like that in Liverpool and while I am not saying Liverpool should sell perhaps we should take a risk and sigh these players when they first become available rather then waiting and priced out when they do become available.

Cheers {Ed002's Note - Additionally there are opportunities for the third party ownership of players in Portugal (and indeed most of mainland Europe) which means transfers are financially more viable.}

11 Mar 2012 14:12:12
Eds, as a percentage what is the likelyhood of Dalglish leaving in the summer? {Ed002's Note - Give us a break - we have given out thoughts on it.}

Kenny must go. no point to waste more money by his hand.

Why dont you go with the rest of the moaners on this site. dont want people like you lot inside anfield.

Since we are now consistently losing to mid-table teams, I would be scared if fans were not moaning.

As a percentage the best anyone could give you is ?.?%

For god's sake i'm getting sick of this. It was always gonna be a transitional season and what ever we achieved was going to be a bonus. FFS get behind the team and the manager....if you cannot do that then F*** off to the Mancs message board where you belong.
Y.N.W.A.

11 Mar 2012 13:55:33
ed any interest in rodellaga of wigan i think he's a free agent in the summer.
thanks
smithy {Ed002's Note - There has been reported interest in the past but there seems to be none right now.}

And I hope, there is none. he ain't good enough.

11 Mar 2012 11:40:07
ed any interest un leduwiski the polish player that plays for bourissa dortmund {Ed002's Note - Dortmund's Lewandowski has been watched by Liverpool, Rubin Kazan, Spartak Moscow (who are concerned about losing Welliton) and Lille. I very much suspect Bayern Munich would be top of the list with a cheque in hand.}

11 Mar 2012 11:31:51
ed 2 so u would rule out a move for mourinho. i suppose guardiola would be ruled out also?u tink any of biesla klopp or deschamps would be tempted? tanx {Ed002's Note - I don't see Gardiola, Mourinho or Klopp as an option. Perhaps Didier Deschamps could be tempted - Biela I don't know.}

If a new manager comes, how will our squad changes? Will a number of in & outs happen?

Mourinho will never come, something happened between him and LFC that caused bad blood between him and the club. Im sure one of the eds would have a bit more info on it as im not sure on all the details.

RAH, YNWA {Ed002's Note - But we are not interested in gossip.}

11 Mar 2012 11:24:17
alright eds ? great site. any interest in michu (miguel Pérez cuesta). he is la ligas leading spanish goalscorer playing for rayo vallecanno and for under 10 million he could be worth a punt and is cheaper than the other strikers mentioned. i don't know what his conversion rate is but it must be good. i also dont know how injury prone he is but nonetheless i would like to see him here, if luuk de jong isnt got {Ed002's Note - I expect that Michu is a player who has been watched by scouts of a number of clubs possibly including Liverpool but I think it most unlikely a move to England is going to happen. Keep in mind he only arrived in Madrid this past summer as well.}

11 Mar 2012 11:18:11
hey eds i heard you said that matt philips is most likely to come, but do you now of anyone else who has a good chance to come. finally what do you think of matt philips and any other of the players you have stated

keep up the great work and please post

thanks {Ed002's Note - There is interest in Philips and De Jong but it is too early to say who is most likely.}

If Philips come, will he play in first team or a youngster for the future? I think we need a winger who will bring impact on first team {Ed002's Note - The interest in Phillips is for the first team.}

11 Mar 2012 10:50:27
hey eds good site i was just wondering, diame's contract runs out in the summer, was he looking to leave wigan i mean he is surely an option. he is better than adam and i think he could be like a yaya toure in our midfield {Ed002's Note - There is no interest that I know of.}

11 Mar 2012 10:47:01
Eds, what is your view on this Welliton player? Ive heard a lot of promising comparisons but he's still yet to play for his nation, Brazil (unfortunately). Is he all the hype he's said to be?

Andy {Ed002's Note - It is looking unlikely that he will be leaving Russia in the near future and if he does it will likely be to Germany. He has done well for Spartak.}

11 Mar 2012 10:39:28
i have been watching David 'Junior' Hoilett and i was thinking he is deffinatly what we need. hes fast young, skillfull, can cross and scores goals. also i watched on match of the day that run were he didnt look down at the ball once and i thought that was just special ....

thoughts eds? {Ed002's Note - I don't know of any interest from Liverpool in Hoilett at this time. Bolton, Spurs, Newcastle, Stoke, Arsenal and possibly Aston Villa and QPR have been interested - plus a couple of clubs from Germany, including Bayern Munich. I understand that Roma may press to have Hoilett sign a pre-contract agreement with them before Easter - which may spark further interest from Germany. The English sides are very much at a disadvantage in the chase for Hoilett now as he is in to the last six months of his contract and he can talk to interested parties from outside of England. Blackburn will offer him a new deal but I doubt he will be interested.}

What do you think of him as a player ed? and do you think he will fit in are side? {Ed002's Note - I cannot really comment on how a player there is no known interest in will fit.}

11 Mar 2012 10:11:57
Hi eds, do you think Pepe Reina can leave this summer? I know he's one of the best keepers we had, bur even Dudek had to leave. Seeing his recent performances, I must say, it is better if he leaves and we sign a younger, able keeper or perhaps give Gulacsi a chance.

Cheers
Soldier of the Red Army {Ed002's Note - At this time there is no indication that he will be leaving this summer.}

People like you make me laugh! you are trying to blame Reina for yesterday when nobody closed down the shot, the shot hit post and then hit Reina on the head there was nothing he could do about it! If you want to blame people for the results look at the lack of tactics and the quite simply disgraceful performances of Charlie Adam

Are you mad or blind?

Reina may well leave, because he has made it clear he wants to play in the Champions League, and more importantly, see that the club is moving forward and challenging for the title, which is not happening. SingRed

Congratulations for the most ridiculous post ever. We can't score goals and your remedy? Sell the best keeper in the world!

GK is the last position we need to worry about at the moment. But on the matter of Reina he is a good goalkeeper no doubt but not the best in the world as previous poster put it. He tends to be overrated by people. He didn't cover himself in glory last 2 games - beaten at his near post by RVP and the soft goal yesterday. Think he cost us at Fulham as well by not holding a shot to let Dempsey in - that simply wouldn't happen to Hart or Shay Given (not 3 times in one season anyway). Overall though our problems are clearly elsewhere both on and off the pitch

All this talk about Reiner being our best goalkeeper ever is carp ! He's not even the fourth best.I've seen more world class saves off Ray Clemence in one game that I've seen from Reiner,he's not fit to lace Clems boots fact !!!

You only have to watch him week in week out to realise his hearts not really in it and he wants away, he's aware of the reaction of the fans over Torres and he's just not trying anymore, he wants champs league football and i would lay you money if a champs league team came in for him he'd be gone and to be honest it'd be good riddance if he doesn't wanna stay and help the cause 'see you later' Torres found out the grass aint always greener

11 Mar 2012 08:30:23
I eds I wonder if you could clear a few things up. It seems we need something to change to be able to be a top 4 team, I personally don't want to see Kenny go and I think it would be bad for the club if he did. We have some of the best kids to come through the academy with the likes of Morgan, Silva, Suso and Sterling but why are they not pushing for a start. From what I have seen of them they are worth a gamble especially now we can't get 4th and give them a good start for next year. I think most of players we have brought in the summer will be squad players and Im hoping that for next season a few of the kids will come through and a few top signings.

Tom from Birmingham {Ed002's Note - There is an enormous step from being a good 17 year old Academy player to being ready for the first team. Folks will quote Rooney and Messi and the like, but they are the exceptions to the rule. You may see a cameo or two, but I would not expect too much just yet. Perhaps a loan for those who are old enough at some point next season - remembering the likes of Sterling will not be old enough to go on loan until next January.}

Your theory on youth progression (in reference to Toms's initial post) fails to acknowledge that you can buck the so-called perceived wisdom of when a player is ready for first team action. Who could doubt that had be bought Oxlade-Chamberline he would be a permenant fixture in the reserves and there would be absolutely no question of getting any meaningful game time in the first team because he would be too young, not ready yet etc etc. Arsenal play him and withing jig-time he is being taked about as a wild card for the Euro's. Some managers are willing to place faith in a young player if that players is too good to ignore. Ferguson has done it and clearly, Wenger has made it central to his footballing beliefs. I believe we have had some excellent players come through our system and ultimately fail because we stifiled their development and allowed them to stagnate. It doenst automatically follow that they would then be a sucess somewhere where else; I tend to see momentum as absolutley crucial to development and a player that is knocked off course might never recover, conversly, a player that is given the platform and shown some faith might progress is a way that takes him to another level. There are no guarantees but one thing is for sure, if you take a leap of faith you will never find out. To my mind the way we brought in unbelievable talent such as Daniel Pacheco and failed to allow him to break into a team that was shockingly devoid of attacking talent..that was a disgrace. Why beat the top clubs of europe to a player and then let him rot in the reserves? He did everything he could do to show what he had and you could see the belief drain out of him. We are nowhere near progressive enough with youg players. Enrique has been rubbish lately, why are they using Robinson to pit pressure on him? If they are willing to occasionally give game time to defenders why not attackers, after all, thats where we are falling down right now. The season is lost, why not give sterling a few games?

The reason we cant get top 4 is simple (i) we dont score enough goals (ii) Gerrard's form and general fitness is worrying (iii) we're lightweight in centre mid with spearing/adam (iv) new signings haven't performed Adam, Carroll and Downing in particular and (v) our once best defender and real leader on the pitch Carragher is unfortunately in a rapid state of decline - at fault for equaliser last week and dropped for the inexperienced Coates yesterday

I personally think if we get a good offer for Suarez in the summer we should accept it, and with the money nuy more effective strikers. Frankly skill on its own will not put the ball in the net.
I fully support all the team, will aloways do we lost today big deal, suck it up and move on. If we don't make 4th spot so we will try better next time in the coming season Rome was not built in a day.
hibsylfc

Look up your facts. Rome was built in exactly 23 hrs and 55 min.

Unbelievable suarez is not the problem, here its, players like adams and spearing who are one dimensional, predictable, over rated, sunderlands second string midfield made them very average. Our midfielders are way to slow, which affects our tempo to the game. Kenny has got to wrong so many times, why he continues to play henderson on the right when he is a central midfielder is beyond me!

We definitely won't be fighting for fourth place with the players we have and KK at the helm this season. KK is not the man to bring us success. He was a great player and a legend and will always be in my book but he is just not the man to bring us forward. At best we will be in the 5th-8th place for the coming seasons. Please get someone who has fresh ideas and not someone who left us a long time ago. It is not going to work. Do something fast before other mid table teams catch up with us.

Buy a proven striker to play along side suarez to take the pressure and a defender of him. If you notice when he gets the ball see how many defenders are around him,hes not the problem.
If we did replace him you would only be asked silly money for a new striker and be in the same situation next year.Keep suarez and build from him look what he does for his national side with two good strikers WATCH,THINK and LEARN.

Dalglish is playing Suarez in the wrong role. He keeps playing him upfront on his own and is getting marked out the game. He is much more effect playing just behind the front man! Kenny has got this all wrong and he just can't see it!

Being rafa back

Th problem isn't Suarez, its Penny. He is way out of his depth both tactically and mentally. How u can play 6 defenders is beyond me. Its likeep Barca playing Messi as Gatekeeper. Next is his over reliance on Adam. Henderson has shown recent signs of improvement but Adam has been appalling. I think he was a bad buy. I wish we could swap Adam with Gylfi Sigurdson now. After all they both the the same attributes but Gylfi is a solar system better than Adam. btw just spotted Adam's penalty miss ball land o earth today...
Jokes aside, Kenny has to go if he loves Liverpool otherwise Kenny will destroy what Bill Shankly started....

Your right, Rome wasn't built in a day but they used the best stone to build it. Were using a load of rubble to build ours!

I have to agree with the majority of posters. While skill alone won't put the ball in the net we would be abjectly one dimensional without the invention of Suarez. I believe that if the team was padded out with genuine quality in key areas then 4th spot would be more than possible. Unfortunately that is not going to happen this season.

The only poster that I disagreed with was the one concerning the return of Rafa. Can you imagine how quickly he would destroy Suarez as a creative force. It would be similar to the devestating effect that he had on the Champions League winning team that Inter had. They're still trying to recover from that particular disaster.

This is embarrassing. LFC fans most knowledgeable? Pffff
Yeah sell our one world class player so John Henry can buy an even bigger yacht!
Shall we get Danny Murphy as his replacement? Maybe bring back Purslow the Snake and sign Emile "Talented" Heskey...
Words fail me with some of u lot!

Moranic comment. Sell Suarez? He's our only world class player Stevie aside.

eds,
if liverpool paid the amount bilbao would sell for for Fernando Llorente, do you think he would be interested in joining us?
cheers,
josh {Ed002's Note - It is impossible to say - Liverpool have shown no recent interest in the player.}

{ed016's Note - I do not think he will move, in Bilbao it is a lot like Liverpool the players are very loyal. I do not see him moving anywhere in the summer}

Dont know if its bad he wont be joining us (not like he was going to) or great that liverpool was complimented on.

I was under the impression that we had bid for him before Carroll but that approach was swiftly rejected? {Ed002's Note - There was interest back before Carroll.}
