Must be a slow news week as it is being reported that Barcelona want Moreno in January!
Can't see that happening myself.
{Ed002's Note - Barcelona have four LBs they have an interest in - prhaps they would be interest in a pre-contract for Moreno but I think it unlikely.}

Well he wouldn't have to do any defending at Barca, so he might actually do quite well.

I was having a conversation with a few friends a couple weeks ago about Moreno, and after a bit of debate we came to a conclusion that not many teams have a backup LB of his level. Additionally, we struggled to name more than 5/ 6 from the Premier League we would have ahead of him in general (I can't recall the exact list, but it's probably obvious) - I even had a United fan in agreement on this point!
In my opinion, he is a great option to have in back up to Robbo, if we can keep ahold of him.
That being said, I could see him doing well in Spain if he went back.

I think the good thing and problem with Moreno is that he's so different to Robbo in so many ways. If we want to change up what we're doing because its not working he's a great option to have around as backup. But if we need to replace Robbo involuntarily (injury, suspension etc) then we really have to change how we defend to avoid the big gaping hole he leaves.
That being said, I am curious as to how he'd do next to VVD. Not curious enough to drop Robbo but definitely curious.

Honestly the kid showed his willing to knuckle down and do the hardwork pity his best isn't really consistent.1st milly now Robbo wouldn't really blame him if he moved on.1 thing for sure is that he always gave his all.
{Ed002's Note - Although this is not the Barcelona page perhaps I should explain. Barcelona has a #1 pick left back in Jordi Alba but when they first approached him about a new contract he was unsure, so they came up with a list of four players they could potentially look to as they did not see Digne as the ideal replacement. Since then, the player and the club have come to an agreement to discuss a new contract this coming winter, so the priority has switched to a replacement for Digne who has departed to Everton. This is where the problem comes, the club have a reserve player in Juan Miranda who they have great hopes for but he is not seen as ready to step up just yet - but they hope he will be. They have their eyes on a young left back who is seen to be ideal as an initial back up and then as an eventual replacement for Alba who will be one of a growing number of players who will be 30+ by the end of the season, but he will not be interested in being a back up. This puts them in the position of looking for cover in January with no budget assigned (as that budget is being taken up by significant purchses they are looking at elsewhere) - and Valverde wants a specific player but others want to utilise B team players if they can and save money for starters. They will look to add a LB in January but have shown no interest in Moreno at all - he doesn't feature in any of this.}

You can only think of 5/ 6 better? I’d like monreal specifically, Asa think he’s underrated as, but him, Shaw, Chilwell, Mendy, Robbo, rose, Davies, baines to name a few! I know some there can’t defend, but neither can Moreno and is an accident waiting to happen.
