Ed’s.

Any interest in Bernardo Silva of city.

Seen a few reports but would rather you just nip it in the bud. I like Silva think he could add something.

Believable2 Unbelievable0

{Ed0666's Note - I have no idea but it’s illogical at best. Isn’t this the guy that didn’t give us a round of applause during our guard of honour? Also sang disparaging songs about our fans? And apart from the fact hed cost a tonne of money in wages and transfer fee I’d say don’t expect him wearing a red shirt anytime soon

12 Jun 2021 17:31:51
I would rather play 10 men than play him for us.

The thought of him in a Liverpool kit made me throw up.

Is there any chances that sterling or maybe coutinho will return to play for liverpool fc Ed? Appreciate for your comments. Have a good day.

Coutinho might return to play for the old boys when he's retired, Sterling well and truly burned his bridges with the assault on our Joe. He's an arrogant tw@t and doesn't belong here.

Ed0666, yep that’s him. Sang the song celebrating one of our supporters being assaulted and put into a coma. Vile cretin of a man.

Agree9 Disagree0

{Ed0666's Note - vile vile man. When supporters sing racist chants on the terraces the club gets rightly punished so when players sing despicable songs of innocent fans getting maimed on video surely there should be retrospective action being taken? If Liverpool players had done this I’d be horrified and lose respect for them.

12 Jun 2021 23:47:07
I think they used the ‘oh he’s not English, he doesn’t understand the context defence’, Ed.

Agree1 Disagree0

13 Jun 2021 00:26:07
And the chant also mocked Hillsborough. So any thought of Silva joining or Sterling (who was ring leading it) should be binned straight away.

Agree2 Disagree0

{Ed0666's Note - didn’t know sterling was ring-leading it if that is the case what a cretin especially as he was an ex player!

13 Jun 2021 00:38:47
That’s why I’m an absolute no on Sterling rejoining of playing ever again in a red shirt.

One of my biggest regrets in recent football is that when sterling attacked gomez gomez didn't take the opportunity and put him in the dirt. No more England duty for Joe, the snake gets what's coming to him and we all get a good laugh.

Makes me sick that Sterling has got an MBE. Amazing how so many lemmings buy these PR campaigns no matter how blatant they are.

In fairness Rufus, they gave Jimmy Savile a gong when the knew he was a Charlie Chester so nothing surprises me.

Minamino has withdrawn from Japan's next World Cup qualifier to attend to "club matters". Something's afoot. Probably sooner than later.

@ArAy1969, Minamino's withdrawal is not due to him having to square away a transfer. However, due to a pre-agreed arrangement regarding the number of minutes he would play while on international duty. Japan have already qualified for the WC.

I remember when the club bought him, at the 7.25m price range he was considered a steal as there was claims he was worth 30m. I don't believe we would get anywhere near 30m for him now, I hope the club don't price him out of a move as we need funds and we're able to loan him out last season.

I, for one, actually want to keep him. But I have my doubts that will happen. If Elliott and Daka are brought in (assuming Origi and Shaqiri are moved on), he'd be the odd man out.

Klopp has already said that the problem with Minamino is when defending cause of his height . Minamino, along with The defender were bought in order to turn a profit.

Agree0 Disagree0

16 Jun 2021 19:42:55
Spaceman, not sure that makes sense. If that was the case then, why was Mino signed to begin with if height was a problem? Klopp may have said so but I don’t buy it. Why? Cos after Mino left on loan, Klopp said it was his fault he did not get any minutes esp during the injury crisis which was baffling cos he ripped it vs Palace and poof, was never seen again almost. Wait and see.

Ed2 is Miniamino on his way to Southampton?

Believable0 Unbelievable0

{Ed002's Note - Takumi Minamino (AM) Sevilla are keen to take Minamino to replace Vazquez but would want a loan to buy. Southanpton are keen to keep him but again it may well be a loan to buy they are looking for. Liverpool are looking for sales not loans but may well price him out of a sale to Southampton.}

12 Jun 2021 10:06:26
Ed2 thanks once again for your information, last year you said that Klopp held interest in Insigne, could that be revisited if one of the front three moves on?

Agree0 Disagree0

{Ed002's Note - He did indeed have an interest but Jota was added so I would think that interest has gone completely.}

12 Jun 2021 11:43:33
guessing if these clubs want these players then they can simply pay the fee. I recall that is along the lines of what we have needed to do to buy players. seems fair.

No we price players out of moves and ruin careers Faith.

12 Jun 2021 12:34:33
Jadon why is it every time we price a player it’s to high buy when we go in for a player they can set the fee at any price and people on here are we know what the price is just pay it.

Agree2 Disagree0

12 Jun 2021 12:47:34
If Liverpool see the price as too high then, they too can walk away. I would be pretty sure this has happened on several occasions. Remember the deals that go thru are the ones the club are happy to pay.
It seems that other clubs aren't happy to pay the prices for Liverpool "fringe" players but we also have sold players and got good and sometimes great money for them such as Brewster and Coutinho.

There’s two sides to this in my opinion;

The players we are after don’t want to be sold by clubs, so we either pay want they want, try and negotiate or move on.

For us, we have players we want to sell that our surplus to requirements. There will be a finite amount of interest and there will be a market rate to some extent for them. If we price over the market rate the buying club will just move on. Just like Salah was 4th choice from memory, If we push enough interest away we will be left with someone that won’t play, we pay their wages and their value will depreciate moving forward.

Everyone wants to sell at the highest price, but there is a balance that is the same across all business. For instance you have a car you value at £5k but others similar go for £4.5k. You either hope someone wants your car at your price or bring it down in line with others because you want it sold.

Yeh but these players we wanted to sell are WANTED by these other teams because they would improve their 1st eleven.

Agree2 Disagree0

12 Jun 2021 17:40:30
But there's probably plenty of others that'll do the same to strengthen their 11.

I'll use origi as an example.

There's a team interested and needs a focal point as a striker and has 2 options, origi being their first choice. They approach Liverpool and ask the cost and we say £20m (purely hypothetical) and their second choice, who according to their stats and scouting department is very similar at £10m, which one do you buy? This also takes a way a prospective buyer and limits our options to sell further.

It's not fifa where you list them for sale and you have 15 buyers willing to buy them for the price you want.

As I say we all want the most money for our players, so do Liverpool. But usually it'll be the buyer in this instance that holds the cards. As they know we want to sell and as soon as you know that, you have a strong negotiating hand.

Maybe the club looking for £10m should sack their technical director.
