Hello Ed002,
not only have the Gunners won at our home turf, they also scored 15 goals in their last three home games!!LFC has scored 30 goals so far this season in all of their 27 games!! That's unbelievable!! When will Liverpool start to score goals?

Bring side, van perise will leave in the summer, so don't worry about it,

Since you love them so much, go and support them! Singred

When we promote a youngster or buy a striker who can hit the net!

We will start to score again as soon as our midfield get it into there heads that they need to start to support our attack ang get in the box were it hurts the opposition

Maybe we should keep playing and score when one of the other team players are down injured even though they have kicked the ball out of play whenever our players are down injured they we might score as much as arsenal then too

Well if you see Man utd and arsenal attacking how many players do you see in the box.. 4 at least.. we have ONE!! every time! How on earth can we score when Suarez in outnumbered 4-1 or at best 3-1???

hy eds,for the last couple of weeks we r seeing kelly in action and we r seeing although he is good in defence,he offers a very little attacking threat as johnson does.....now the question is if johnson leaves,will we be expecting areplacement of him like isla.....and before even the talk of leaving suzrez rose,the interest in luuk de jong was there now if suzrez leaves do u expect to come two strikers?.......wil there be any replacemnt of gerrard or any attacking midfielder who can open up defence??and what about our academy graduates??they r good enough i think.....plz answer all the questions,plz {Ed001's Note - we were interested in Isla before he got a season ending injury, I have no idea if we would still be interested, it's not like we can find out if he is being watched in a match the rest of the season. The only way we will know is if contact is made with his club or reps. If Suarez leaves, he will be replaced, De Jong was not being tracked to replace Suarez, so I do expect that a striker leaving would see 2 come in. I think Shelvey, Suso and Henderson might well be given a chance as the attacking midfielder, unless the right one is available, ie Moussa Sissoko. We do have a number of youth prospects who have the potential to make it, it takes time though, they need to be allowed to let their bodies develop before being put under the physical stress of regular first team football.}

Although they cannot play week in week out,but can we expect them to see at least for a couple of matches at the end of the season?i mn academy graduates... {Ed001's Note - possibly, it really depends on how desperate we are for points.}

Ed, how long do u think until we start seeing Suso and Silva in first team. I just can't wait to see those two in our team. I know Sterling and Morgan are little young and we need to wait until they are ready, but i feel those two are ready. Also I saw previous day that u feel spearing not being good enough, then my opinion is that we should give Coady chances as he is the closest of the bunch to the first team and he brings a lot of attributes. I absolutely like him as a player. Tall, elegant good in air with good vision of passing and very good tackling and also occasional bursting forward with long range shooting. He is like the hybrid of Carra and Gerra and is def a contender for future captain. If Suso is crowded out with current numbers in midfield he should at the least go to a bottom side premier league like Swansea or Norwich where they play good football and that stint would do him and us world of good. Regarding Silva we right now have one winger and Phillips will only make 2. so i feel Silva should stay and be given chances in Europa and cup matches. I strongly feel its time for next season to promote these 3. Also regarding Isla, i think when Carra retires Kelly is gonna be our long term CB with Coates and Isla with our first choice RB with Flanagan as sub makes a lot of sense. Ur opinions ed.

AJ {Ed001's Note - I do think Suso and Silva will get a chance next season, they have both grown physically recently, hopefully enough that they are ready for the first team. Suso certainly seems to have grown a lot the last few months, I wonder if that is why his form was suspect for a while.}

Thanks for reply ed, What about Coady ed, I like him a lot. I think its time we deploy him as back up for Lucas and if possible should start some games for the remainder of current season. Lastly what position do u see Suso playing in the future. LW, RW or CAM. I really appreciate ur patience. I see this site daily and i just couldn't imagine how u r able to cope up with that disgusting negative troll on the banter page these days. I mean even the people who are just supporting the club, players and managers like us are getting abused and bashed by them. It really pains me more than our results on the pitch. Anyway i strongly feel things will become normal and good sooner rather then later.

AJ {Ed001's Note - I think Coady should have got the chance to play this season already myself, but clearly he is not felt to be ready. I do think he is the best defensive midfielder we have available, he offers more than Spearing, in my opinion. Suso will, in my opinion, end up playing a floating role, similar to Silva and Mata, mostly, but with the option to play him on either side to suit the formation.}

Still a little "ify" about de Jong . At such a young age, cud he really do good in the preimer league??

In my opinion the player closest to first team football is coady simply because we need players in that position, although spearing has improved so much recently I still don't think we can rely on him. Coady will at least have more physical presence.

As for suso, he's an attacking mid with a crazy rande of passing for his age. It's best to just put him on the pitch and let him run freely. But I can't see dalglish playing a formation with such a player.

Think he'd be great even at his age. especially being a poacher. as well is compatible to be a RW

How about teixeira?

Ed, what do you know about these players any intrest from anywhere? Belhanda,Mertens,Huntelaar

Cheers
Dano
{Ed002's Note - None from Liverpool at this time.}

Hey eds havent been on in ages and was trying to type in players for responses but any who I had previously thought there was interest were mostly "no(s)" and "unlikely" can you give a brief few names that I can at least use the search function on that have more detailed or positive outlook? would be much appreciated
ShaneK Lfc {Ed002's Note - There is certainly interest in Matt Phillips and Luuk De Jong still. There was interest in Isla but he is injured right now and would need to prove his fitness. Keep in mind it is only March and there is a long way to go until the summer. I have postulated that should Suarez leave then Liverpool may go the route of replacing him with a more creative atticking midfiled player a la Gaston Ramirez.}

Just out of interest Eds are the owners short of money or something? Because the fact we are targeting championship standard players is quite worrying. Have we not learnt from last summer? Cheers GJ {Ed002's Note - We knew much would depend on qualifying for the Champions League and I fear that may not be possible.}

Hi ed, we already had interest in de jong before speculation that suarez was leaving, surely if suarez was to leave we would be looking for another striker as well as de jong ? cheers ant. {Ed001's Note - I do believe that would be the case.}

Just because they play in the Championship doesn't make them championship standard, Phillips is only young.

TSP

If suarez left, then luuk de jong would be his direct replacement. and ramirez will be considered to add creativity. makes sense too.

Ed, you say that we cannot aim too high with regards to players due to the lack of Champions League football, so does that mean one of Tottenham, Chelsea and Arsenal will be targetting the likes of Matt Phillips as well? {Ed001's Note - they have looked at him, Spurs are extremely interested.}

To the above poster, i see de jong as a direct replacement for kuyt, because of his versitality on the right as well as being a good goalscorer. As muchas i hate to say it, I'm not really sure any players of suarez's skill and capability would be interested in coming to liverpool if suarez were to leave, although i hope he doesn't

Eds, and just because we aren't in the CL next year we will buy championship players?
Yeah then we won't make the Top 4 next season again...
What has become of the aim of the owners to make LFC a superpower in football again?
Please answer, I'm really worried about our transfer policy.

Surely if suarez goes you've got to replace him with another out n out striker ed not another midfielder

Hi Ed's,
I've not managed to read through the pages over the last few days, and when I did read up I was a little confused and shocked with rumors on KK. I asked last week about his job security, but now everyone seems sure he will go ''upstairs'' in the summer? Is this the most likely outcome, and if results continue going badly, could he be sacked earlier.

Thanks very much Ed's
Burnsy {Ed002's Note - I don't expect that he will be sacked at all. I could see a decision jointly being taken for him to step aside for someone else in the summer in the best interests of the club.}

Ok, thanks Ed, so for once it actual will be Mutual Consent? {Ed002's Note - If I were to be forced in to a corned for a prediction, then yes.}

I agree with ed002, dalglish's standing in the club is just too high to sack, it will unsettle the players, other staffs and majority of the supporters. it will also make the job for mr henry harder to bring the club forward.

i believe if the proposed manager is someone dalglish sees as better than himself then he may well stand aside and do something thats in the clubs best interest. though i cant think of too many managers that are 'up there' looking for a new club.

Curly

Isn't Pep Guardiola's contract up this summer?. Might be very wishful thinking but it sure would be nice to have him.

Ed, didn't mean to be backing you into a corner, just wondering how it would be done

Do you know how many people have signed up to your fan page on FB?

Burnsy {Ed002's Note - Not as many as I woul like. Get on in and sign up.}

Move kenny "upstairs", get AVB in, give him time and money !

Perhaps it's just me but if an under performing manager is moved upstairs instead of being sacked then surely we are saying that manager is bigger than the club?

You're all deluded if you think kenny is going to 'move upstairs'! kenny has had one full season in charge. he signed a contract for 3 years, after having initially had the short term deal. the owners know full well that he can't build the club in such a short space of time. anyone that says differently knows very little about the club, including ed002 whose own club needs to be looking at their revolving door policy on managers {Ed002's Note - Chelsea's "policy" on managers has brought success, so what needs looking at? It is pretty pitiful when you have to drag me and another club in to your concerns about Liverpool's manager.}

Ed002, pitiful?? Really? I have no concerns about the Liverpool manager, as I clearly demonstrated in my previous post. Chelsea's 'success' is but a distant memory right now. The treatment of AVB was disgraceful, and fortunately is not the Liverpool way. {Ed002's Note - I don't really see a league and cup double 18 months ago as the "distant past", but still. The treatment of AVB was hardly disgraceful; the results were not good enough so the club did what needed to be done.}

What would you say about sacking Hodgeson so soon then? Was that not disgraceful?
His total points gained is about the same as Dalglish and he was also on a long contract. The difference was he was working with a tiny budget with owners who were not on the same page and pushing the club dangerousley close to the brink financially.

Dalglish has been working in a stable environment with money to burn yet he gets supported and backed by the majority for doing as bad as Hodgeson who was hounded every week. Regardless of sales he has still spent arond 100 million on players who haven't really lived up to their price tags.

Billy

By the end of the season, it will be fairly evident whether Kenny is the right man. He certainly won't be given 3 seasons - I think those days are gone.

If he is not, I am sure Kenny and the owners are intelligent and mature enough to do what is best for the club without throwing the club into turmoil.

talksport saying inter topping race for isla {Ed002's Note - Although there is strong interest from Liverpool, the player is out injured for the rest of the season so he will need to prove his fitness. Roma and Inter are other possibilities for the player.}

Eds,
Do we have a chance of getting Moussa Sissoko in the summer?
I think he would be a very good partner for Lucas in CM.
What do you think about him? {Ed002's Note - Toulouse's Moussa Sissoko is a fine player and has attracted interest from Lyon, Roma, Genoa, Juventus, Liverpool and probably Napoli. Arsenal and Milan's previous interest waned over the summer. Damien Comolli let Sissoko's agent know that Liverpool see his man as the ideal long-term replacement for Steven Gerrard but for some reason Liverpool failed to make the final push in the summer. Sissoko remains available but Liverpool have yet to follow up their previous interest.}

This bloke has a great point, Sissoko is an absolute rock in the center of the park. There is a lot of interest from other clubs, however, if a Javi Martinez bid doesn't go through, this would be a very attractive alternative. This bloke knows his stuff!

Not meaning this in an offensive way towards you, but is Liverpool looking at anyone at all? It seems like when we include names of players your response is no. It could be our standards are different of liverpools but just curious as to see if you know of any interest of any player. Also how about sterling? What's going on with him I think Liverpool should slowly work him in the team just like arsenal did with oxlade chamberlain. Thanks

Mike {Ed002's Note - Liverpool have shown an interest in players but I guess they simply cannot keep up with Match of The Day and show an interest in everyone who has played well this weekend. Numerous names are thrown up each week from Fantasy Manager, the Bilbao players who played well last week, etc.. It is a hopeless waste of time asking in most cases. Where we know of interest we have said. As for Sterling, he was only 17 a few months back - you need to write to Dalglish and make your complaints not me.}

It wasn't a complaint it was to see your side of it since you have a lot of knowledge with these situations. Thanks for the response

Check LFC's youtube channel. They uploaded the lastest Tunnel access area in the Arsenal game. When LFC squad arrives, you would see that Sterling was with them too, wearing a suit just like the first team squad. My guess is that he is now training with the first team and we would probably see him sooner or later this season.

-Anfield Janitor

You need to understand that there is a big difference between Oxlade-Chamberlain and Sterling in physical stature. The former is already big and strong and easily able to manage first team football. Sterling is quite slight, and while he may never be tall his body still has a lot of maturing to do. He has skill and pace but it is still too early too see him in the first team in my opinion

I understand what you mean but at this point and the way games have been going for Liverpool I don't think it'd hurt to start him or at least have him off the bench

Yet it wouldn't be worth playing him if it could hurt his development, imagine having a stinker and getting pelters it could do more harm than good ,as I see it

He's near enough the same age as Owen was when he made his debut. He's older than Rooney when he first played for Everton.

Playing him now could work out 2 ways. The team is not scoring and throwing him in now will simply be to get the team scoring more goals. If he does then great. If he doesn't, then that won't do his confidence any good at all.

I love to know from Macca what the real feeling is in side the club about our current league position and the playing staff we currently.

Surely if a proportion of LFC fans are struggling with the performance and standard of our players and coaches then surely the LFC powers are feeling this as well?

Macca do you have any info?

NS

If things carry on the way they are, i wouldnt be surprised if you lot ended up 15th lol

We should of beat sunderland last week, but yet again a carp line up, underestimated another team, it seems since we won the cup that will suffice, for this season, low league position yet again.
the old liverpool teams and the uniteds of this world win a cup and go hell for leather for the rest of the season. but not this group of players. why is jay spearing playing he is useless. kennys job is on the line thats for sure.
lets be honest most players want cl football and we can not offer that yet again. so it will be the same next year. rant over

No LFC player deserves credit for that performance. But to single out Jay Spearing as usless, what does that make Charlie Adam??

Spearing on crutches

12 Mar 2012 11:48:48
any chance of getting thomas muller from bayern. @ marko marine....... {Ed002's Note - No. Just throwing up random names really doesn't help as the answer will invariably be no.}

Macca

Ed 2 said that he thinks Kenny and Luis will leave this summer and I am really worried now I see on Newsnow that Luis wants to join PSG. Can you tell us that Ed 2 is wrong about all of this?

Spirit of Shankley runs as Stratford at 17:10 today. We should all get on with some money as it is a sign.

Josh

Luis didnt say he wanted to leave now,that just one day he would like to play along side his fellow countryman.

Come on lads, be a little more positive. You're all expecting Liverpool to be like Barcelona straight out of the first season! These things take years to build. However, A step in that direction would be to sign another torres and gerrard. Eds would javi martinez and soldado be good purchases given the circumstances of the club and the recent links? {Ed002's Note - Martinez and Soldado would be excellent purchases but I don't see it happening.}

Well they both can be great purchases, especially Martinez, but I don't see it happening. the chances of these 2 being tempted are close to zero. :(

Yeah I agree, we just need that spark. I mean personally, I think purchasing Spanish players have always suited our style of play as a club. Torres, Reina, Garcia, Alonso just a few who were amazing at the club. Unfortunately we're stuck in tunnel vision and only looking at players from England. But yes, it would be phenomenal to purchase Martinez, a perfect replacement for Gerrard. Time will tell, BRING ON TRANSFER DEADLINE DAY AUGUST 31st!

Perhaps Barcelona would be to lofty a height for most clubs.
we are actually in 7th place 5 points behind Newcastle i find that unsatisfactory .
i wanna see lfc pulling up the rest of the league not giving Newcastle a bunk up .
as things stand we have lost ground at the moment to last year i find that unacceptable .
some may say we won the carling cup this year yippi ! but we won on penalties against cardiff a team below us on penalties .
dont forget we bought in the summer to the tune of £50 mil plus

Liverpool have no hope of signing Soldado or Martinez...why would either join a mid table PL team

I appreciate it will take years for us to get back but performances now are as bad as they were under Roy Hodgson and we have players who will never be good enough to wear the shirt. Just think we have to accept another 5 years in the doldrums.

12 Mar 2012 09:22:06
victor moses and darren bent to join

Didnt know Kenny posted on here!

Our all british signings this season have been absolutely crap, beside Bellamy. I hope, if we buy some one it would be for his talent not his nationality. We have paid lots for Eng players and none has been any good and consistent. :(

Great, just what we need. more average players!

For me victor moses has so much raw potential, and regaurdless of where he ends up after the summer i bet he will be sh*t hot and will score more than andy carroll.

Where buddy???

Victor moses is far from average or british!

Hope Not

12 Mar 2012 08:58:24
Any intrest in Lewandowski eds?
seems like a good goalscorer which is excactly what we need right now..... {Ed002's Note - Dortmund's Lewandowski has been watched by Liverpool, Rubin Kazan, Spartak Moscow (who are concerned about losing Welliton) and Lille. I very much suspect Bayern Munich would be top of the list with a cheque in hand.}

Come on mates, Commolli can't see past his glasses...we're missing everyone in sight and paying over the odds for better than average (not world class) players...
forget rumours mates, we'll end up buying more 'british crap' for the future....
