I see the "We are in for" rumours have begun already.

I can see only one thing happening in January. And that's the sale of the fringe players KP does not see have a future with LFC.

There maybe a move for a new GK but, on the whole I can see us doing little incoming business but quite a few out goings to try to balance the books.

"We are in for" - I tell you what we are in for in the transfer market, not a lot. We are skint.

Hi Eds and reds
Just read that burnley are set for a windfall if Danny Ings starts for England tonight. Is this going to be due to the tribunal setting a higher fee due to the player having an international cap or have I missed something here?

Believable2 Unbelievable0

{Ed002's Note - The tribunal will certainly take it in to account when they come up with a figure. Liverpool upped their off and the club and Burnley were only a couple of £M apart - I really don't understand why Liverpool didn't bite the bullet and get this done.}

12 Oct 2015 17:57:01
In all honesty though they should only base things on what ings had done prior to him joining us.

Agree0 Disagree0

{Ed002's Note - Liverpool should have paid the asking price then - and the club would not be in the situation they are now.}

12 Oct 2015 18:00:18
Because the club is skint ed haha

I totally agree ed but when ings joined us then that was the deal done.

He will have his cap whilst playing for us not Burnley.

At the end of the day though we all knew he'd get capped so I can't see the price being that different

Agree0 Disagree0

{Ed002's Note - Sadly, that wasn't the "deal done" and that is not how it works. It is done when Liverpool agree with Burnley the amount to be paid - which they have not done - or they pay what a third party tribunal decides. And that appears to be what Liverpool are, rather stupidly, happy to do.}

Should have coughed up, the boy is worth every penny. Can see Klopp turning him into a top player.

Surerly the fe the third party decides has to be lower than the 10m £ Burnley asked for? Daniel Sturridge from City to Chelsea is still the highest fee paid at 6,5m and he was regarded as a top talent, It is just something very wrong if Burnley gets more than 6,5m IMO.

Just to be clear. if this negotiating process went through normally, how much would we have had to pay them (approximately)?

Agree0 Disagree0

{Ed002's Note - Burnley wanted £8M and Liverpool offered £6M.}

15 Oct 2015 18:11:12
Will Burnley take less seeing as he is out for the season. Another ACL injury, who broke the mirror.

Agree0 Disagree0

{Ed002's Note - Why would they do that?}

{Ed033's Note - Latest Liverpool Rumours Podcast now posted about Jurgen Klopp as the new Liverpool FC Manager

Since Klopp took the reigns at Anfield we have already been linked to Reus, Hummels, Subotic, Gundongan, Aubamayeng, Mkytharian and Bender. Dortmunds CEO said last night that Klopp would never do anything to hurt Dortmund who are flying atm and Klopp told bild this morning that he will not be going back to Dortmund for players so hopefully that's the end of it because this could get quite tiresome. I'm sure Klopp will look to sign a few potential Bundesliga stars but they won't be Dortmunds stars and likewise Lewandowski is not going to move to Anfield.

The thing is. You feel we COULD sign these players now. Unlike b4 when we was like " Yeah yeah"

scouse john

You hit the nail on the head. players want to play for certain managers 60% of the time the rest are just mercenaries going to the highest bidder.

Lets face it I don't imagine many top players busting a gut to work under Rodgers.

I don't see it as klopps style anyway, he will more likely have a few unheard of gems up his sleeve.

Ed2 has already said he might go for 2 players in particular, one of which being Subotic - so whilst I doubt he would raid Dortmand for all their their treasures clearly it may not be true that he wouldn't go there at all.

Lewandowski wants to play for klopp so much that he left him to join bayern? Do u all remember that?

Gday Eds,
Liverpool really shown interest in Leroy Sane?
Thanks!

Believable0 Unbelievable0

{Ed002's Note - Schalke rejected bids from Spurs and Stoke for Leroy Sane in the summer. A number of clubs from across Europe had the player watch in the first and reserve sides towards the end of last season - including Sunderland, Liverpool, Bayer Leverkusen, West Ham and RBL.}
