We must break the bank to get Drogba!!
Graet to hear the truth finally come out!

Thanks Eds

Redman10

Why do we have hopeless dreamers on this site? While where at it, perhaps we could bring Maradona back.

Drogba is exactly what we need - a striker that demands to be played on his own, completely destroys the other strikers' confidence, and loves being on the end of long balls. Thats EXACTLY the striker we need -_-

Let's just let Morgan, and Yesil maybe get games and improve the young talent we have.

Great result yesterday, so thankful the truth is out!

3ds, i know the transfer market is closed but what's the fuss with llorente, is he free? {Ed002's Note - There is no fuss with Llorenti at this time but there will be interest in January when he can talk to clubs about a move next summer. He is under contract until next summer but can then move on a "free".}

Ed do you expect lfc to be one of the interested clubs? {Ed002's Note - I think they would be one of several - Arsenal will be interested, Juve, AC Milan and probably others.}

I think we have a great chance of getting Llorente, he's practically guaranteed a starting 11 place. In January he will leave cos Bilbao will want to make money on one of their top players rather than let him go for free in the summer 2013... If we got him it would be brilliant, him alongside Suarez & Borini/Assaidi would be a very good attacking trio IMO

Bomb out Carroll for being the wrong type of player and bring in..... oh, the Spanish Carroll! Well played FSG

Llorente is tall like carroll that is all they have in common. Caroll couldn't trap a bag of sand

"Bomb out Carroll for being the wrong type of player and bring in..... oh, the Spanish Carroll! Well played FSG".

I think you miss the point were Llorente actually "scores" goals while Carroll "sees" goals.

Though i would surely want Llorente and Carroll both back!!.

If our plan A fails, we could revert to the old 4-4-2 and have Suarez play behind Carroll and Llorente the strikers, hence more like a 4-3-1-2 with three midfielders. The negative of that is that we have no width. The positive, we actually play great ground stuff and IF Carroll and Llorente can hold up that ball extremely well from long balls from the midfield area, then who needs wingers??...

Why would rodgers change his system, he will just find the right players to carry it out.... It's all about 'time', hopefully.it wont take too long, and I also hope he is given the time to carry it out.

Changing managers all the time and coaching staff can't be good for the stability of the team or club. I personally think rodgers will be a success in time, but it will probably take 2-3 years and cue..... Much more moaning posts from fans on here lol....

I will look forward to them all!

I think the 2 6ft strikers standing in the box are the ones who would need wingers.

Do crosses ALWAYS have to come from the wingers??. They can be initiated from the midfield or even defence or even the goalie. Also, if you did see the matches that Andy played in, he held the ball up well which allowed other players to come into play. Please also understand that it is a "Plan B" incase our tiki taka fails, mind this might come in handy against Spanish clubs as honestly speaking, before the Swansea's actually showed us that stuff, other spanish clubs like Atletico, Athletic, Valencia, Malaga and Getafe just to mention a few were already playing this. Hence i feel that we could break them down with a strong midfield and work out their defenders with "bull like" forwards or "Anti-Tiki taka"...

Don't think we'll be changing our system anytime soon, and we shouldn't.

Why would we try and hold up the ball "from long balls"?

Ok, fair enough, its not only "long balls" from which we can hold up the ball but the freaking point is that we can involve in many players and offer more options to the strikers rather than ALWAYS going for the obvious which is down the wings and crossing. Its pretty much useless to us and an advantage to the opposition team that they "know" that either Downing or Suarez will try and curl in a ball for Andy. Stoke for example, play long balls from all possible angles i.e. from the defenders and midfielders etc. This way they hassle the defenders who cant cope with the constant aerial bombardment.

P.S.: So in other words, we are to play a constant 4-3-3 formation through out which makes it easier to opponents to figure out. I mean its not ALWAYS that Barca win with this formation but its just because of the class of players they have. An important reason as to why Mancini's City won the title is because of his sqaud rotation coupled with the changing of formations to suit the game. Yes he has world class stars, but even they need a rest. We dont have squad depth yes, but we can surely find out one or two other formations which can be played...

Liverpool are set to win the race for llorente,he will sign for a knock down fee.Liverpool are also trying to sign Luciano Vietto from racing club.Rodgers is also desperate to sign the young german keeper ter stegen,as rodgers know longer has confidence in reina.I expect reina to be sold, with ac milan the front runners for his signature!...

All of this is "Bo.....S" Nearly19.

Yep sounds good hope it happens!

We will NOT get Llorente!! We couldnt land Dempsey when in competition with spurs, what makes you think we can land Llorente when in competition with champions league teams. BE REALISTIC!

Ive not actually seen Llorente play that much, and im not going to youtube him since the video's are poor and I doubt we will get him...
now im not comparing real life to a game...... but on football games, Llorente is known for being like a master in the air?
so in other words Carroll.....
ED's is he actually like that in RL? if so why the hell would we want him people?

With all due respect lads - We are not a CL team & we will not land Llorente. Players have aspirations and desires to succeed , unfortunately Liverpool are not attracting the players because we are now not the attractive team players want to go to! WE WILL FIGHT ON WITH WHAT WE HAVE!

Llorente is more han just a Spanish version of Andy Carroll, but we will not get him. I know it hurts but we are not in the running to get established names like Llorente. And why would he be making a decision now anyway? Stop being silly.

We got suarez who is a bigger and better player.........christ, barca were interested hen pepwsin charge.
as for reina, we need to part company, shame he will go having 2 terrible seasons under his belt. another spaniard who gave up

So you believe the only 4 rumours that have been reported about us this week and you EXPECT them to happen hhmmmmm

Dodge

Yeah right. More likely we will sell Suarez and stay with Borini as lone striker.
