How's it going Eds I'm specifically on this to find out about Luciano Vietto I've just being talking to my brother his wife to be is from Argentina and her home were she use to live with her parents which still live there are neighbours of Luciano and family friends and have said that he will be joining Liverpool in january supposedly, wondering if you have heard anything because this lad is a superstar in the making

Believable14 Unbelievable11

{Ed002's Note - Luciano Vietto was one of the South American players that Liverpool took a look at 2 years ago. There has also been interest shown by Parma, Leicester and Palermo over the last year or so. Unfortunately there was a lot of abuse associated with any discussion about South American youngsters - so they are not really up for discussion.}

I understand cheers Eds

Agree1 Disagree0

I know youtube isn't a great way to judge, but looking at the guy play, he looks ok and at only 20 years old under the right boss, he is only going to get better.

Apparently Ian Ayre has flew to Spain to discuss Moreno transfer with Sevilla and look to finalise a deal.

Seems strange as I thought we were not back in for him, and we have made advances on Bertrand as explained by the Eds.

Eds, if I ask if you no why IA has gone to Spain will I get fair answer lol?

Believable36 Unbelievable15

{Ed002's Note - I have no idea where Mr Ayre is this afternoon.}

Its come from Alan Nixon in the Mirror, he has put the story out there

Agree1 Disagree0

Alan Nixon has reported this so does that mean its false? Also Eds has said we have enquired about Bertrand in the last few days. I can't see us trying to sign 2 left backs? Any ideas Eds?

Agree1 Disagree0

{Ed002's Note - As I have already said - earlier in the past week. RTFP before asking all of these questions. I appreciate you want all of the information you can get but nothing generally happens overnight and very little changes hour on hour.}

Ok, fair enough mate. Sorry.

13 Jul 2014 21:19:35
Could they not negotiate over the phone with translators although Brendan speaks Spanish.lol

Agree0 Disagree1

When will people learn that the mirror can't be trusted.

Agree1 Disagree0

Brenden on the phone."Ola amigos! We will pay dee full amountez forrrr Moreno por var vor!"

Agree1 Disagree0

Or maybe he is just trying to sort out a deal to sell as aspas if he is even there at all

No and sometimes things are posted at night for the next days newspapers. If Ed002 doesn't have any information (which does happen sometimes!) then she won't make it up.

She has said what she knows and so far only knows of Bertrand

Apparently Ian Ayre is on his way to Spain to tie up the Moreno deal according to one paper.

Believable42 Unbelievable10

I have been saying that we would be signing Moreno from the beginning even though most people thought the deal was dead and buried. i'm over the moon with the new signing and can't wait to see him next season!

Agree1 Disagree1

Fair play BigD, I think I was one of our doubters and said the del is dead. We haven't got him yet mind but fair play if we do. I hope we do.

Agree1 Disagree0

Dezmondo i'm over the moon with the potential signing as no disrespect to Bertrand but he is no better than what we already have at the club and Moreno is for me superior.

Agree1 Disagree0

Hope its true. If so, we have two capable LBs (assuming Jose doesn't go) and two capable RBs. Add in a player like Lovren, and we've got a great potentially world class defense. Moreno, Sakho, Lovren, Johnson is good assisting in attack and stout defensively. Enrique, Skrtel, Flanagan, Agger

Looking like Moreno is on his way to Anfield in an £18 mill deal

Liverpool close in on Alberto Moreno as supremo Ian Ayre flies to Spain to clinch £18million deal.

source: a newspaper

Believable46 Unbelievable18

Hope we land him. He is the Spanish Luke Shaw.

13 Jul 2014 19:04:42
Do we have this confirmed? Or has he gone there for a holiday or something else?

Agree2 Disagree2

This is good news if its true I rate him highly and I think he will fit in to our play style perfectly I really hope this deal happens :)

Agree3 Disagree2

I just heard that too. Hopefully it's true as I think that's a position we need to sort without resorting to 2nd or 3rd choices

Agree1 Disagree1

Ayre just landed. In magaluf

Ed002 I'm guessing my post yesterday was deleted beacause of trolls/abuse. Some people are so sad.

Just wondering Ed, what is our level of interest in Huntelaar and Lacazette? Have we only enquired about them both or have we made any informal/verbal bids? Couldn't find anything recent on the search function and I've read the entire rumour and banter pages first as well.

Believable5 Unbelievable17

{Ed002's Note - Both might be viable additions if Origi does not sign or goes back to Lille on loan (which is what they are asking). There is much interest in Lacazette and he would potentially be over-priced by Lyon when looking to sell to an English side. Huntelaar has a year remaining on his contract and is keen to play for another top flight team that gives him the chance of a league title. CSKA, Galatasaray and Liverpool have shown some level of recent interest in Huntelaar - although the word of interest from Liverpool came from an Arsenal scout when he was asked about any interest from Arsenal. The player himself could opt to sign a new one year deal which Schalke want, sign a pre-contract with a non-German side in January or run down his contract and seek a hefty signing on fee next summer.}

Ed when you say Lille want to keep Origi on loan it suggests that Liverpool would prefer not to? Is this the case or am I reading into stuff that's not there in my tired state?

Agree2 Disagree0

{Ed002's Note - There was no secret message. But I will soon start giving secret messages out.}

13 Jul 2014 13:03:08
Eds, haven't asked a question too you for ages, great work on it all btw!

I wanted to know what is the latest on the sale of Dejan Lovren & Alberto Moreno?

Cheers

Believable10 Unbelievable16

{Ed002's Note - There is nothing new - a bid for Lovren was rejected and the club has approached Chelsea about Bertrand so interest in Moreno has probably gone.}

13 Jul 2014 12:54:57
Have we or any other clubs shown an interest in Roberto Firmino?

Believable5 Unbelievable7

{Ed002's Note - Firmino agreed an extension recently but will very likely move in the summer with Barcelona, Chelsea, Atletico Madrid, Shakhtar, Zenit, Inter, Manchester United and Schalke interested - but Dortmund pushing for a deal. I am aware that Everton, Dynamo Kiev and Liverpool also looked at Firmino last season but have not declared interest with his agent. Roberto Firmino was previously subject of a rejected bid from Southampton. May well be first choice to replace Alexis Sanchez.}

The talks with Swansea officials are regarding Michel Vorm, not Bony. This is super important news aswell because Pepe Reina will leave I'm sure and it's not good enough having Brad Jones as back up.

Alberto Moreno will join before the season starts. Aspas will be heading the other way to help the negotiations.
Dejan Lovren also should be happening soon, with the player trying to force the move, Koeman is trying to stop the deal but it will get pushed through in the next 1-2 weeks.
Markovic is a done deal pretty much, he will be unveiled by LFC Monday.
Divock Origi will be announced this week also, but I'm pretty sure he will be going on loan back to Lille.

Hoping for another 'forward-3' player and if possible replace Glen Johnson. But I suspect Glen to leave in January or next summer.

Believable46 Unbelievable23

Finally a post that actually makes sense regarding potential transfer targets:

Vorm would be a good choice of GK as Mignolet made costly errors last season and he would have real competition to retain his position as No.1 GK.

Moreno is what I have been saying from day 1, the lad is a brilliant addition and our style will suit him and he is also very keen on the move.

Lovren looks a real possibility and hopefully he and Sakho can be a solid partnership, what does this mean for Agger, Skrtel & Toure?

If Johnson were to leave than i'd be happy with Flanagan as No.1 with Kelly & McLaughlin providing the competition as Wisdom is going on loan to West Brom.

Agree4 Disagree0

Wez B
this makes sense to me.
Vorm will add rael competition for a starting place not just a back up as Brad Jones is right now. Reina I cannot see ever playing for us again.
If BigD is correct and Wisdom is off on loan again I wish him all the best and hope he comes back (again) even better

Agree0 Disagree0

I was off with the Markovic prediction for Monday, and I don't know for sure why it's been dragging

Lazar Markovic to sign within the next 48 hours. Also expect Suso to sign a new contract within the next week or so, Rodgers is prepared to give him a chance next year.

Believable52 Unbelievable12

Honestly is the Suso news true? I think he deserves a chance

Agree8 Disagree1

Great news if should be true.

Agree3 Disagree0

Judging by the interview with suso on the club site, it is looking likely that he will stay and sign a new contract.

Agree1 Disagree0

{Ed002's Note - Liverpool blocked a mover to Porto over money.}

This comment was probably left after the poster read the interview on LFC.tv

http://www.Liverpoolfc.com/news/latest-news/166251-suso-i-want-to-stay-and-stake-my-claim

I believe I read a comment by one of the Ed's some time back saying that he had poor attitude or something? I really hope he has got it together now, because he is such a massive prospect and is definitely one of those players that Liverpool will hugely regret letting go if they do. He has the potential to be our greatest player in the years to come.

Andre Wisdom will apparently spend next season on loan at West Brom.

Believable70 Unbelievable8

If this is true I really hope he's played as a centre back.

Agree5 Disagree0

If this is true I really hope he's played as a centre back.

Agree1 Disagree0

This is a good move for andre which means either flanaghan and johnson will fight it out at rightback or if johnson goes a new rightback will have to come in

Agree2 Disagree0

Don't forget Martin Kelly

Agree1 Disagree1

This would be great. Both Steven Reid and Billy Jones gone from WBA though so I'd say he'd be going for RB. Anyway would be excellent for him to have a full season starting PL.
