Heard that john henry will tell the fans and the media that liverpool fc will move to the new 70.000 standard charter arena while hear for the man utd match.CASTER TROY

Would be a perfect time to release news of a new stadium. Either cheer us all up after a loss or make us feel on top of the footballing world after another win over the mancs at anfield :)
The last big announcement was the return of the king and that was just before we played against the mancs

MIKEY

Doubt your rumour mate as it is Standard Chartered.. not Charter

Don't think its 70, 000 either

Not standard charted and is a 70000 new stadium but wont be confirmed for at least another 3weeks as negotiations are on going but close to being finalised.
Liverpool are testing the water with the " redevelopment plans to expensive comments".
Physic Red :)

Not going to happen. the robster.

Henry isn't going to be in Liverpool. He's staying in Boston amid criticism he is receiving from Red Sox.

Hi ed,

Is it true Kuyt might leave in Jan because his a great team player and i would hate to see him leave, his work rate is immense.

RedRaj {Ed009's Note - I doubt it will be January, more likely summer. He is not getting any younger and is already 4th in the pecking order striker wise.}

I think he will finish his career with us. He loves the club and the city so when hi engine is gone he will retire. Personally, I would welcome that.
Iggypop

Nah he's rubbish, he's gone come summer, Kk doesn't seem to be fan thats why he's down the order.

Bollox KK knows Kuyt is best when he is kept on his toes and doesnt play every game, you need to keep him fresh through rotation. Kuyt is still a big player for us and sets an example to the rest of the squad as to how to put the effort in that is expected from every player both in and out of possession. The young players have had it drilled into them i.e. Flanno, Kelly, Spearing. And thankfully most of the squad we have put it in... but I would have to say Adam and Johnson need to work harder out of possession defending, and Downing needs more aggression when defending and attacking, he has pace and power he needs probably grab hold everyone of his strikes with controlled aggression (like his crossbar shot) and put them away. He also need to put his foot in and not just track when defending. If he wins the ball he can fly down the wing and the counter in on.

If we get back in the Champions League he will still be an important part of the squad next season.

Richards

Kuyt will be replaced in the summer and anyone disappointed now will not be then. the robster

As I ahve stated before Kuyt is well regarded at LFC. He can play in more than one position sop good for the squad. He is ten times the player Carrol is and for gods sake he is still a regular starter for the second best national team in the world!!! I think the eds are forgetting how well these players are getting looked after and how well they look after themselves. He is only 31 look at Giggs 36 still playing and very well. I take it Gerrard will be moved on aswell due to his age. Dirk has told me he has never felt fitter but hey what would he no!!!

Eds,
Can you evaluate in percentage the chances of us signing Adam Johnson in january.
keep up the good work! {Ed002's Note - Not really. I have explained the circumstances that could lead to him becoming available - and those are entirely dependent on a replacement being obtained by Manchester City. So it is a series of "Ifs" that could lead to him arriving.}

He dosnt want to go city dont want him to go & if he was going do you really think city would sell him to liverpool.
BLUE MOON.

I bet you get sick of answering the same questions over & over Ed's, I know I get sick of reading the same questions. {Ed001's Note - it can get tedious at times.}

Hey Ed, in regards to kagawa and moussa sissoko, do you feel dortmund and toulouse would negotiate their sale in january or would any sort of interest have to wait until the summer?

Keep up the good work {Ed002's Note - I think there is a good chance that Dortmund would listen to offers for Kagawa in January but they will be looking for 20M euro or so and he has been playing poorly recently. Again, I am sure Toulouse would be open to discussing the future of Sissoko and I have explained Comolli's view. What I don't understand is why Liverpool did not take the opportunity to complete a deal in the summer - in the same way as why did they not take the chance to complete a deal for Honda last January.}

Because KK wants a British "spine" to the team by the looks of things.

Ash

With the transfer market as it is Kagawa's goal against Tajikistan probably added a few million euros to his valuation xD
RustyNigel

Hmm did buying henderson have any bearing on pressing forward with sissoko? I would've thought theyre pretty similar in playing styles?

Sissoko is much better though should have signed him for similar price.

Hi eds, any truth to the Dallas player Brek Shea? I've checked some youtube clips of him and he is by far one of the best players in the MLS....although thats kind of like having a big fish in a small pond...at 20 years old I think he would light up the prem much like our very own suarez! whadya guys think? sign in reality or stick to buying him on fifa 12? {Ed002's Note - He is the pretty boy of the MLS and in my opinon not good enough for the better teams in the EPL. There has clearly been interest from a scouting viewpoint in the player from a number of EPL and Bundesliga sides.}

Not god enough for Liverpool. Know him well, off to bundesliga

It appears a new stadium with naming rights is now favourite to happen

How about the greedy ba****d stadium.
blue moon.

A new stadium was always gonna be the way forward.th new owners bought the club for a knockdown fee.the squad has been strengthened at no cost to them by using the money from player sales and off loading fringe players on big contracts.and the will get a brand new state of the art stadium with a big increase in capacity built for virtually nothing through naming rights and sponsorship.so their initial £300 million investment will be worth about £800 million with no real extra investment out of our owners pockets.talk about good house keeping and business strategy.these guys are very clever people and the club will be in safe hands while they are hear.we will never be able to match man city money wise but once we are back in the champions league there is no reason why we cant be looking at buying better players like mata,aguero,ect! because if liverpool were in the champions league this year i bet both players would be playing for us now.

Regarding better players.. Kenny Dalglish buys players with hidden talent, desire, creativeness and heart. He has always done this. A relatively unknown John Barnes, Ray Houghton, John Ardridge, Alan Shearer plus many more will all say Dalglish has a gifted eye for talent. No need to bring in big names as we already have hidden diamonds.
Stadium...
The new 70000 stadia will start soon as everything is falling into place.
I don't know if it will be the great looking H&G design but I'm sure it'll be state of the art. I Love Anfield, it's history it's heart it's passion it's presence and I'm sad to see it go but we all know deep down it's time to change and create a New history, new passion, new heart, new soul in a new stadium

I know some people know a lot more than me but where is the news coming about a new stadium?Don't get me wrong a new stadium sounds good but I trawl the net and cant see any mention anywhere.
Ill settle for 2-1 on Sat

Speakin of saturday ill go for 2-2 or (hopefully) 2-1. gerrard must start!! we need 2 take advantage of their midfield or defence and never leave ourselves open 2 a counter attack

So were are you getting you info please {Ed002's Note - None of it correct - it is no more than guess work right now.}

O right cheers ed002

Remember with naming rights we will have at least £200 million of the stadium money before we even start to build it {Ed002's Note - Sorry to say that is not how it works. Liverpool will need to take out a loan to build a new stadium. Say the club did manage to obtain a sponsor willing to pay £200M to have the stadium named after them, the money would be paid over a longer period (say £20M a year for 10 years) rather than as a lump sum.}

The coca cola stadium perhaps??

guys tell me about any signing related to liverpool defense. is kenny interseted in bidding for cahill? what are the other prospects given the fact carraghar is not getting any younger!! {Ed009's Note - Prospects? Coates, Kelly, Wisdom are just three top class ones. I am not sure that the situation will be adressed till the summer at the earliest, unless a player becomes available cheap.}

Wilson is a top prospect, too. Need to work on his game a bit, but really can be a class. YNWA

Is there any chance of liverpool signing lavezzi coming jan? he is a very good player {Ed009's Note - I doubt any player as high profile as Lavezzi will come in this January. Come summer, I don't see why he isn't a possibility provided we make it into the Champions League.}

Having said that champions league qualification is a must to land a player of lavezzi caliber, is it possible to somehow pursue him to join this jan if we perform good ?
