Hey eds, Just wondering if we have any interest in Jay Rodriguez and Danny Ings? I heard of some interest in January and I think both could be pretty great signings.

{Ed002's Note - Unless someone is leaving I would doubt there is interest in Rodriguez. Ings is of interest to Stoke.}

Think jay just injured his ACL, similar to Coates, can't see how anyone would take him right now, maybe next jan / the summer after world cup.

Fantastic site first time I have ever posted but viewed the site for a long time.

I'm a little bit baffled almost every player somebody suggests we might buy you say no or no chance which you obviously have more knowledge than me!

Which is logical if were after Messi etc but really some of the players are never going to Barca, Real, Bayer, even if I swallow my pride and say Utd because of Money and success recently and City Money related and Chelsea Money/London scenario and Arsenal just London!

We're not poor by any means with have an annual transfer budget of £20-30m which comes from the huge TV revenues, we have a lot of players assaidi, suso that if we wanted to sell would be no shortage of takers.

We will at least get 10-15m in player sales that leaves champions league money as well so another £20-30m.

That would leave a budget of 50m-70m this summer surely? We cut right back last summer to reduce the wage bill and get finances in line. Yes we could use this money in bringing the club out of debt but a club in £50-60m of debt worth £400m+ is nothing with billionaire owner FSG aren't poor their just not a sheikh!

Surely this is the time to push on, we don't need a lot just 3-4 players worth 20m and done for the summer. 1 Left back and right back Johnson is not what he was 3 years ago!

1 back up striker, not sure about sakho so maybe 1 centre back and a centre midfielder maybe a back up for Henderson as allen and lucas are not like him or someone as back for Phillipe as no one can replace him either.

Yes we won't get Costa, Falcao, Cavani we all know this but we never have! Some love the weather, language, tax in foreign countries abroad or you pay them crazy money like Chelsea and City do to come to the UK otherwise nobody would join them!
Anyhow great site guys 4 more games come on lads!

eds do we have any interest in raul bobadilla? I know his stats aren't extra but I do remember that he was quite good, strong, good ball control and pace
