Hello Eds, I have accidentally found this site, and I am impressed with it! Good job!
May I ask u some questions? Is there any real interest to Ben Davis? And is WBA keen on Andrea Wisdom? I have heard they want loan him, is there any truth?
Thank you,
From Russia with love

Believable12 Unbelievable1

{Ed002's Note - Davis I doubt, Wisdom is of interest to WBA and others - Derby would like him.}

Eds any chance of Cavani if he moves from PSG?

Believable3 Unbelievable57

{Ed002's Note - None.}

Have chelsea got a chance of signing cavani?

Agree3 Disagree1

{Ed002's Note - Try the Chelsea page.}

Hi Ed

Any particular reason why it's 'none'

Care to elaborate?

Agree2 Disagree2

{Ed002's Note - I will expand it. None at all.}

Seriously, what are these people on? Not in a million years would we pay what he earns and he move to us? I just don't get what players people think we can go for?

Agree1 Disagree0

Because he's rubbish, that's why. And he has slated our club.

Agree2 Disagree0

Ed you crack me up!

Agree3 Disagree0

{Ed002's Note - That would cost you a lot of money man.}

Hi eds I have just seen on web site that Moreno deal is back on can you shred any light on this please
I'll be over the moon if we can pull this off hopefully

Believable25 Unbelievable5

{Ed002's Note - There is no deal. If Liverpool want the deal after what the player said, then all they have to do is meet Sevilla's financial requirements.}

Wat did the player say ed sorry to ask

Agree2 Disagree0

{Ed002's Note - He has said he never wanted to leave the club nor Spain. I will say as an aside now that the player said when Chelsea agreed a price that he wanted to wait and see if Real Madrid would match the offer as that is where he intends to play one day - Chelsea walked away at that point.}

Thanks for that info Ed, it is fascinating to get these snippets of insight into the sometimes unsavoury attitudes of the pros that we revere and respect so much.

He looks a cracking player, but if he's so determined to join Real then one can imagine that any team who takes him on are buying a time bomb?
As soon as he strings two top seasons together and tempts Real into bidding for him, he'll just down tools and sulk (in the manner of our very own Mr Suarez) until he gets his move?
And in the meantime, whilst he is building his international profile ready for his dream move, every summer he will be publicly courting the men from Madrid?

To be honest, even as good as he is, we don't need that kind of pantomine every summer. There has to be a better option for LB, surely?

Agree3 Disagree0

{Ed002's Note - It was enough for Chelsea to step back and Liverpool will know that.}

I would still buy him on the basis that should he perform to a level worthy of Real Madrid, then that would have helped the Liverpool cause, albeit potentially short lived, but also would fit the FSG model of buying young players with future resale value. Seems win-win really, get him in, performs well, sell for profit. Next! By that time, who knows, maybe a youth player will have staked his claim.

Agree3 Disagree0

Why would you not want a player because he prefers a different club? If said club don't come in he has a choice to make.

Agree3 Disagree0

Thank you ed been wanting that info for ages. Keep up all the good work.

In that case, why bother at all? Great player, mind you, but it seems ridiculous to even bid if he doesn't want to come. Seems likely that we'd match Sevilla's asking price and the player would refuse anyway.

I would feel more comfortable playing Flanagan from the start w/ Enrique getting back to fitness than going for Bertrand or Moreno (I admit, my opinion is purely because of the above comments by Ed002. Moreno is a terrific talent). I believe in our transfer dealings; I've been impressed and excited by everyone who has walked through the doors this summer.

Thanks Ed002, always wondered why Chelsea walked away. If his head is somewhere else we should be looking elsewhere

Agree0 Disagree0

Why would we not buy him on the basis of he may want to go to Real Madrid one day? Surely that could be said of a lot of players! If he plays well and wants to move on in a few years for more money than we paid what's the issue!? I'd be happy to have home if he can step in a do a job for us to challenge for the league for the next few years.

Agree0 Disagree0

Anybody here think Rojo would be a better option? he looked very good on the biggest stage. just my thoughts

Ed002 mahalo for giving the reason chelsea moved on from moreno, was always in the back of my mind, wouldn't sign him anymore myself but for some reason the board doesn't listen to advice coming from this archipelago? aloha!

Agree0 Disagree0

{Ed002's Note - It makes some clubs think twice.}

I don't mind so much that he'd want to play for Madrid -- in fact, that seems to be pretty common, especially amongst Spanish speaking footballers -- but it seems pointless to take a player out of Spain that WANTS to be in Spain. Just leave him where he is and move on.

Moreno comes, I'm still very thankful and believe he can be great for us, but its only a matter of time until he's seeking a move away.

Quick Question. I read over the weekend that Swansea want more than the supposed £19 million buyout clause in Wilfried Bonys contract.
I know you don't like talking about money but if you have a minute can you please explain the legallty of a buy out clauses as we seem to read more and more about these. Can a club demand more than the buyout fee?
Or is it as simple as the the player and his agent can just turn round to their parent club and say another club has reached the buyout clause so were going, tough

thanks

Believable4 Unbelievable15

{Ed002's Note - I have told people on numerous occasions to ignore any discussion of "clauses". Just so it is clear, Swansea have no desire to sell Bony but have said that if they double what they paid for him they will talk to any bidding club and the player - and as a special treat, that puts it about £24M or so.}

Omg Ed just discussed finances. A day to remember lol long may it continue!

Hi Eds

Have you heard anything reliable on the speculation linking us with Reus, Benzema and Turan? Is this just imaginative journalism or are you aware of any genuine interest?

Shame we've not heard any more on the Rojo front- I thought he was really impressive at the World Cup.

Thanks

Believable18 Unbelievable15

{Ed001's Note - not aware of any chance of those 3.}

14 Jul 2014 22:13:28
Ah people are still talking about Turan to Liverpool, how quaint. A nice tradition. Has his agent actually said anything ever about moving?

Player having a medical today. Not sure who though. Eds do you have any idea who this might be? Few press vehicles around covering it.

Deenan

Believable62 Unbelievable4

{Ed001's Note - Markovic.}

I've really not seen anything of Markovic, what's your opinion of him Eds?

His player Profile hasn't been updated since his days at FK Partizan, has he progressed?

Many thanks :)

Agree2 Disagree1

{Ed039's Note - He had a very good season in Portugal, although Raheem Sterling would be in the side in front of him if I were picking the sides)

14 Jul 2014 10:35:34
Are we really looking at Jay Rodriguez?

Believable8 Unbelievable42

{Ed002's Note - He is injured - I would think it unlikely.}

We might aswell move too st Mary's

Agree2 Disagree0

Would be the worst transfer in the history of transfers. Liverpool would be mocked for selling exchanging a top 3 world class player with half of a mid-table team.

Agree0 Disagree1

Jay is a northern lad who likes being up here, I know him and his family and whilst at present Spurs are doing the necessary he would jump at the chance of moving back north near his home town. He his well thought of and just broken into the England setup injured at a bad time for him unfortunately. He is working really hard to regain his fitness and at present on target for full recovery and return by end of September. Don't go slagging players off before you know them. Not the most prolific but playing wide left at Soton still contributed with goals and assists. Made himself a starter under Pochettino who really likes him and his attitude and is willing to learn, work hard and improve which is what is required along with talent.

Evening Ed's!

Thanks for all your hard work during the whole Suarez saga and appreciate Ed002 informing us Suarez's confides were speaking to RM and Barca for the past few months. Aswell as thanks to ED001, for your opinion on more Liverpool matters as appreciate a fans insight (especially when then know something about the club)

Don't shoot the messenger and have no idea if it has been mentioned but according to twitter (I know) Origi's father has confirmed he will be at LFC next year.

Happy with transfer's so far, would rather have players who have desire and the right attitude than players who just want bit of a payday or don't play for pride. A new LB and CB would be a very good summer for Liverpool IMO.

Thanks for the updates Ed's and apologise if this has already been mentioned.

Turns out Ayre has gone to Spain to organise Aspas' loan to Sevilla. Deals for Moreno and Apas seem to be seperate issues, but hope is not lost on the Moreno deal.

Hi eds,
Hearing some rumours about Dortmund's Marco Reus being linked with us. Any information about this?
I wish it happens, think he is a world class player and just what we need after the departure of the legend Luis Suarez!

Thanks

{Ed008's Note - Injured and no Interest from Liverpool.

Ed008 - I think it is unlikely we are not interested - we would have to be verging on stupid to not be interested! it's more about if we are interested or not :)
