Yan Dhanda is leaving after his contract Expires in summer.

Still has plenty of potential, hope to see him making a name for himself elsewhere!

14 May 2018 21:27:28
Read earlier in the season he wouldn't sign a new contract and wanted first team football. Woodburn, solanke and anyone we bring in in summer are ahead of him. Brewster might leave for the same reason.

Agree10 Disagree0

14 May 2018 21:35:42
agree Imred, it's sad that these players are so impatient that they are looking to leave when there is a path to the first team just patience.

although i would say Dhanda isn't at the level of quality of Solanke and Woodburn so i do think it is best for him to leave.

I don't know why Brewster is so intent on leaving with Klopp looking to bring him into first team training at this young age! but then again looking at the likes of Lookman and Sancho clearly there is a good pathway to be taken there.

i am sure in the future we will see more and more youth players move abroad. hopefully it can only be a positive for english football!

Big shame that, Yan Dhanda will do very well if he works hard and gets his chances at first team football.

Agree6 Disagree0

14 May 2018 22:54:10
Seemed to be developing okay, another case of wanting too much too soon? Still has the frame of a kid, needs more youth football for me.

Agree7 Disagree0

15 May 2018 07:38:23
Probably a bit of both. We have a lot of youth playing at much higher levels than their age these days so maybe it’s the continued shift.

I do think Dhanda almost went on loan to forest this season so clearly he is well thought of in the football industry.

it's also worth noting that rumours are suggesting he may move north of the border to join Gerrard at rangers.

could be a very savvy move!

Agree5 Disagree2

15 May 2018 10:16:03
I would imagine quite a number of young lads will be linked with Gerrard. I reckon we should loan a few out to Celtic as well and let them battle it out 😜.

15 May 2018 12:17:22
He's gone to Swansea for first team football.

Agree3 Disagree0

15 May 2018 12:26:12
Looks like he's heading to Swansea, best of luck to him. Hope he gets a good amount of game time in the Championship and that we'll see him in the Prem in the near future.

Agree1 Disagree0

15 May 2018 13:34:55
As much as I never like to see a promising young player leave, can't say much against a young player dropping down a level in the hopes of sustained, regular game time. Hopefully he flied down there and returns one day, and good luck to him.

Agree2 Disagree0

15 May 2018 22:46:49
Dhanda was not going to break into the LFC first team anytime soon as for Brewster he is good for the current level but until he plays as senior level it would be hard to confirm if he has simply matured quicker than others for his age group. Would like him to stay and take a loan but would wish him well.

When it rains it pours! Just read that Ox not only injured his acl but the medial ligament and hamstring too. So we may not see him on the field in 2018 again. Recovery is going to take time and effort. Really empathize for the guy. Was beginning to come onto his own, and carve his own place in the team. 😒 🤞.

Believable27 Unbelievable1

14 May 2018 20:08:53
Big shame for the lad, was coming into his own as well - hopefully he can make a full recovery.

Agree10 Disagree0

14 May 2018 20:12:19
If that's true, everything else will be healed by the time his ACL has healed. It isn't like only 1 thing heals at a time.

Agree14 Disagree0

14 May 2018 20:24:10
Don't count on seeing Ox until December 2018.

Agree6 Disagree0

14 May 2018 20:53:15
He will be like a new signing for the second part of the season and all being well he will come back big and strong.

He has really impressed both on and off the pitch.

Got a feeling the Ox is going to pick up plenty of trophies with us in the next few seasons.

Let’s get number 6 to give him a boost.

Agree10 Disagree0

14 May 2018 21:23:47
A bad blow and an area I get increasingly worried about. With Coutinho gone and Can likely to leave this summer we have a shortage in midfield, we have Keita arriving which eases some of the worry but now Chamberlain isn’t due back until December.

As it is we have.

Henderson (some injury issues) .
Milner.
Wijnaldum.
Can (leaving in summer) .
Chamberlain (out until December) .
Lallana (likely to leave) .

Keita

It seems Ceballos is highly likely which if happens gives us.

Henderson.
Milner.
Keita.
Wijnaldum.
Chamberlain.
Ceballos.

Plus Coutinho still needs replacing which hopefully mean Fekir or Pulisic arrives. Given Chamberlain is out until at least December and the possibility of any of the front three being injured or out of form, should we look to sign Ceballos, Pulisic and Fekir?

Would give us great depth and quality in midfield and attack.

14 May 2018 21:26:36
Chambo actually sourced 2 tickets for a father and son he met near the end of the season.

class act on and off the pitch!

hope he stays positive through his injury and can get through this!

Agree9 Disagree0

14 May 2018 22:44:10
I kept thinking we got lucky with being him injury free compared to his arsenal days and now he's crocked. At least he's got the summer to recover and hopefully he can make it back before the busy christmas period.

Agree2 Disagree0

14 May 2018 22:57:46
Hopefully he doesn't lose his pace and explosiveness. Really liked him this season, and offers a good option in the middle or wide. We Definetely need cover out wide, pace and the option to play as a forward or attacking midfielder too. Fekir ticks that box for me.

Agree1 Disagree0

14 May 2018 22:42:25
Jonesred I understand your concerns and I’ve just been having a near identical conversation with a mate as he had the same worries. But I personally think that if we sign our targets (Cellabos and AM) along with Keita, then we will have sufficient players to cope with Ox’s injury.

If we use this seasons formation as an example and look at the squad hypothetically with those signings. Hendo, Keita and Fekir start with gigi, Milner and Cellabos in reserve is plenty, even if let’s say we lose hendo and Fekir to injury, we still would have a midfield of Cellabos, Keita and gig/ Milner, and then gives players like Trent and Woodburn the opportunity to play in midfield. Especially if we sign a rightback as the eds have mentioned.

I’d say signing another midfielder on top of all that could end up being more disruptive than productive.
Cheers.

Agree7 Disagree0

15 May 2018 05:57:23
Terrible shame. Ox had become an automatic starter in the midfield. An explosive player. He was outstanding against City in the CL.

This is clearly a very serious injury to his knee. It is entirely possible he will come back as good as before. Also entirely possible he will never be the same player.

At this point, the club has to plan for life without him. "Back in December2018", "nine months" etc are all just guesses.

So we very much need to bring in another midfielder now, in addition to Keita.

Agree1 Disagree0

16 May 2018 15:27:32
No way Lallana leaves this summer - I expect him to make an impact when he gets subbed in in the 65th minute of the CL Final.

That being said, I only think we'll bring in 1 or 2 additional midfielders.

I personally get excited about the potential of a Milner, Keita, Ox midfield, and I don't think it's the end of the world if Lallana starts the season in Ox's spot

Bottom line, I'm not too worried about our midfield depth, even though it looks rough for the CL Final.

Hi All,

rarely able to offer any transfer info, however i have heard it from someone at work, who is friends with someone from within the Crystal Palace staff (tenuous i know) but that we are very much interested in Loftus-Cheek.

obviously this is we are interested in him not we are signing him, i doubt chelsea would want to sell to us!

but just passing on what i've heard!

Thanks for passing on the info. I can’t imagine it happening to be honest.

Agree1 Disagree0

14 May 2018 18:34:40
Why do you say that salah he was considered one of the best young prospects a few years ago!

Chelsea have stunted his growth, but the talent is still their
, and of all the managers to unlock potential it’s Klopp.

I for one wouldn’t be upset if we let gruijic go and brought in Loftus-Cheek as a decent squad player.

Agree13 Disagree2

14 May 2018 19:05:56
Loftus-Cheek is a lot like Lallana in some respects. He plays a slightly deeper midfield position, but like Lallana he takes too long on the ball, twisting and turning.

However, he's young enough to be coached into releasing the ball earlier. Can't see it unless we are having a major overhaul. Keita is coming, and Ceballos is the primary target! For this to happen as well, you'd imagine that Grujic, Lallana and Can are off!

I suppose that is entirely possible though! Cheers for sharing Southern Red!

14 May 2018 19:35:40
No worries MK!

Agree8 Disagree0

14 May 2018 20:40:24
Southern Red, he's just not good enough for our level in my opinion mate, right or wrong I just don't see him doing well with us. Having said that, he is still young enough to adapt to our style of play and should he join us he'd get my full support I just hope it doesn't go ahead. But who am i? I was against Robbo signing and look how that turned out. Thanks for the info SR.

Agree4 Disagree1

14 May 2018 21:28:47
Salah i agree he isn't on a level to play week in week out, but I see him as the equivalent of Solanke.

isn't worthy of a starting position by any means but if he is hungry and applies himself in the surroundings of Klopp i fully believe he could be an asset to us!

but appreciate your opinion!

Viva la liverpool!

Im a fan of loftus-cheek, although not sure he'd leave Chelsea for another side he wouldn't probably be first choice for. granted better chance of breaking in and getting game time probably at us as is but would be surprised. Would take him as a good squad option as well as a lot of potential to improve to potential starter. solid prem experience and still 22.

Wouldn't be devastated if it wasnt true but would certainly take him.

Dream summer for me would be fekir, cebellos, koulibaly, sessegnon and oblak. hence the word dream though. oblak no chance id imagine but id take butland.

I sidetracked anyways haha cheers for info TSR!

14 May 2018 22:58:15
I haven't watched enough of him to know but an Ed stated back in April that he is lazy and doesn't do enough running off the ball. This would concern me because if his attitude isn't right then it doesn't matter how talented he is, he won't be a good fit.

15 May 2018 03:48:27
I’m a big fan and hope it’s true.

Agree3 Disagree1

15 May 2018 07:40:26
Phil agree hence why I said if he actually got his head down and worked hard for the team then I’d be happy to see him in red, he needs someone to ground him and develop him.

Agree2 Disagree0

15 May 2018 09:39:27
Whichever Ed said that Phil is totally correct. We have a team of passionate players willing to play their hearts out to win a game (mostly) he just doesn't fit that mould, he is indeed a lazy player.

I mean been under Klopp, that could change? who knows, I'd like to think if he joined as TSR says, he could get his head down and sort it out but it's a big risk for a team like ours.

We need players willing to give it their all, Keita is another fine example, he always gives 100% on the pitch, 50% in a team like ours is no good. We thrive on pressurising other teams because of our work rate, there's no place for lazy buggers.

Just my opinion of course, I mean if people rate him then fair enough, each to their own :) .

Agree1 Disagree0

15 May 2018 10:07:05
So loftus is not good enough? But a few foreign names that you've barely seen play are good enough for the premier league? With zero experience?
OK.

Agree1 Disagree1

15 May 2018 10:37:37
Barely seen play Red7? I've seen Keita play loads of times mate, I've watched them tons of times over the course of the past 2 seasons so I think I have a right to call it when I say Keita is a special talent and usually gives 100%.

Sure he hasn't played in this league yet but he's made for Klopps system which you will see come next season. He will hit the ground running there's no doubt about it. He brings passion, hard work and quality football, this is what our team is about is it not? all season we've seen it, him adding to the ranks is just improving us in a position which needs to be improved dramatically.

I have also seen plenty of Loftus, and to me, no he's far from good enough, he's the opposite of what we want/ have. It's got nothing to do with 'foreign names' it's about who's the right fit for our current setup and he's not a right fit.

14 May 2018 09:06:18
This is so not going to happen.

He apparently has a clause in his contract that allows him to join a top-6 club for £25m if Stoke are relegated. EXCEPT Liverpool.

So for Liverpool and any clubs outside the top 6, Stoke can name their price.

Why would we pay even £25m for someone on the bench who has already peaked at their level AND who Klopp himself sanctioned selling?! Forget about 'more than £25m'!

14 May 2018 15:35:55
OMG Allen and Shelvey, seriously? Recruitment strategies like that is exactly how we ended up in fighting for 5th to 8th spot for so many years. We need players that improve us and neither of those fit the bill.

14 May 2018 17:37:35
Jimmy, whoever told you that probably read the headline of an article mentioning that Allen's buyout clause doesn't apply to us (why news outlets considered this relevant is beyond me) and assumed we were going in for him.

Sign a player we sold two years ago for more than double what we sold him for? Yeah, that's not happening.

Agree2 Disagree0

14 May 2018 23:00:09
Zeddicus - you mention he might be great for Everton - only problem is that they aren't top 6 and unlikely to be for at least another 12 months ( until they get rid of Fat Scam)
