Ed how much is Lavezzi valued at? Do you know how long his contract has?

Would be great up front for us. {Ed009's Note - It runs out in 2013 I believe. He would likely cost upwards of 20 million from a Napoli side who are not looking to sell their stars. I agree he is a very good player, though more of an assist maker than a scorer, similar in that way to Suarez.}

Excuss me, since when is suarez a assist cf. Might i remind you he scored 45 + goals at ajax ;) {Ed009's Note - I simply meant that he is not solely a goal scorer. A poorly constructed statement, but I believe Suarez is best when paired with a poacher to finish all his fantastic plays.}

Id agree with that Ed - he aint a natural finisher (Just look at the miss against Bolton). In terms of good players from last night - what about Hamsik? he looked a decent player! Can you get him for us Ed? {Ed002's Note - Don't hold your breath!}

I agree as a liverpool fan that it will be a battle to secure 4th place or above this season. the reality is though, after seeing your strongest 11 last night for arsenal i would only pick 1 or 2 players capable of making lfc's 1st eleven(robin van persie and maybe walcott). this is not hard lines from a biased opinion, i honestly feel that it was the weakest arsenal 1st team i've seen for a decade.
reina for szechney-nope.
kelly for sagna-never.
agger for koscielney-laughable.
mertesacker for carragher-maybe in 6 months with proven prem experience but coates maybe established then anyway.
enrique for gibbs-wouldn't swap enrique now for any left back in the prem.
lucas for song-we have the prem's most improved player.
adam for arteta-not on last season's form or this,maybe 2 years ago before injury.
benayoun for downing. he was our sub?!
henderson for walcott. on current form i'd have to maybe take a knock for hendo in this case and favour walcott, fair play with my honest opinions.
suarez for gervinho-need i bother?
van persie for kuyt-unfair as it maybe on kuyt but van persie continues to be your shining star.
i make that 9-2. and remember this, when you come back at me with jack wilshire which is a fair point i will top trump you back and say, what? instead of stevie g once he's back!
full squads up and running and established i make it 8-3 in lfc's flavour because you have vermaleen to come back, but our bench is stronger as well?!

Arsenal will feature at about 10/11. Everton will probably finish above them.

To the guy who wrote the below, I'll give you my (although slightly biased but really trying not to be) views in bracketts

reina or sczeszny? reina (agree, Reina over every GK in the prem right now)

sagna or johnson? sagna (I'd actually want Kelly out of them all but thats a tough call)

carragher or vermaelen? vermaelen(agreed, if he wasn't so injury prone)

koscielny or agger? agger (agree, but last couple of seasons he's been injury prone too, hope he's put that behind him)

enrique or gibbs/andre santos? enrique (agree)

henderson or walcott? walcott (not sure about this one, walcott has speed but his final ball is very lacking sometimes, but he can score good goals, Hendersons delivery is much better, and though he can score cracking goals I'd expect them to be less frequent, I'd actually go for henderson as his delivery will get us some goals, but that could be that he is more suited to our play than walcott is)


lucas or arteta? arteta (no, I'd go for Lucas, but it depends on what position, Arteta is more of a creative (well was before his injury took the best out of him) midfielder whereas Lucas is our defensive midfielder and he is probabbly one of the most improved players in the prem. His tackle stats were highest for all last season and I think he's already up there again, so sorry mate have to disagree there)

adam or benayoun? adam (agree)

downing or arshavin? downing (agree)

kuyt or van persie? van persie (agree not taking away what kuyt gives us - a real work horse compared to RVP but RVP is better in skill and touch)

gervinho or suarez? suarez (agree)

id say 6-5 to the pool but wouldnt rule arsenal completely out of a top 6 spot (mine 8-3 but will say depends on the positions your playing some of the guys in. i.e. the Lucas / arteta comparsion just doesn't make sense

TBH, I think he isn't as bad as people make him out to be. I reckon he will be a regular starter for Bolton and will get them a lot of goals. He was just never going to be first choice for us.

No disrespect to david, but bolton shud have pay us to put a buy-back clause in his contract.

I would not make too much of it and it will not result in the cherry picking of their best players to move to Liverpool. Several clubs will have deals with Liverpool which can be mutually beneficial. There is nothing new on the stadium issue.}
