Are LFC about to try to hijack a deal for Udinese defender Silvan Widmer?
Napoli have been trying to put a deal together for him but with the present injury worries Klopp see's him a a necessity for the start of the season.

I can't see that making any difference, Poolie. Flanagan plays for Liverpool because he wants to play for Liverpool. He played for Rodgers because he wants to play for Liverpool. He played for Dalglish because he wants to play for Liverpool. He would only leave if the club openly didn't want him a la Martin Kelly.

Any truth re Lucas on loan to Galatasary for the whole season?
Surely this would be an awful deal, as we need him around and a loan rather then sale makes no sense at all.

{Ed002's Note - I am not aware of any agreement but there has been interest from Besiktas who wanted to buy Lucas. For me a loan would not be a good idea either.}

{Ed002's Note - Putting aside the price, the club clearly don't see a future for him going forward and Swansea do maintain an interest. I suspect Brendan Rodgers would be interested as well but priced out of a move.}
